About the Owner

Dorothy and I came to Marco Island 20 years ago on a holiday, after we crossed the “SS Jolley Bridge” we were hooked on Marco Island. The most beautiful well kept beaches in Southwest Florida, the small city feeling, the people and the relaxed atmosphere and the subtropical weather with lots of sunshine. We built our residence and starting living here full time in 2000. Knowing a lot about rental properties from up north (New York area), we brought our first rental villa in 2003 and brought 2 one bedroom condo’s two years later. We are not a large rental company, we personally operate our rental units which are meticulous maintained, cleaned and are personally supervised by us, the owners.

Guestbook comments from the owner

We have had a lovely relaxing week on Marco. Enjoyed the Corkscrew Swamp Sanctuary and the fantastic beach. We had excellent meals at many restaurants. Our children discovered fishing off the dock and we all enjoyed the pool. P. family - West Midlands UK.

4 weeks of heaven in your lovely home a Tigertail Beach, fishing from the dock, dolphins&manatees swimming past, we've experienced it all. Naples, Corkscrew Swamp, Everglade City, so many memories. Shelling on Tigertail was almost a daily 'must do', but just walking on the beach is magical. Almost endless bird watching. C&C B., Broadstone, Dorset, UK.

The time we spent at the villa on Marco Island was very relaxing and fun. The sun sets on the lania are really colorful and awesome. The view of the canal with dolphins was fantastic. The pictures on this site look great but when you see the real thing the villa is WOW. Family G., Schweinfurt, Germany

We've loved our holiday. Your house was the perfect place. W. family, Glasgow.

Great location but dated property

  • 3 of 5

Great location, views from Villa and very clean. Property was a little dated and some areas around pool were poorly repaired. Owner was responsive to any issues. Pool pump was not working for 1st week which as non pool owners ourselves we were unaware of until pool man visited. Prior to this there was scum on the pool and therefore we did not use it. This improved afterwards but meant we only used pool for last 3 days of our holiday. Stayed in 3 star hotel in Keys before arriving at Villa which was better quality and standard. We have stayed in private rentals before and this fell short of our expectations. We did not cook and ate out. Not helped by us finding 3 cockroaches in the kitchen plus in the bathroom, and living room. Marco island is beautiful and property was close to beach but not within walking distance of restaurants. The negatives did not detract from a great holiday.

Owner's Response: We were sorry to read this complaint and respond as follows: 1. Had the renters notified us of scum in the pool, we would have immediately taken care of any problem. In a sub-tropical climate this can occur very quickly. 2. As to the alleged cockroaches, we have an attentive pest control service. Neither of our guests immediately prior to or after the complainants’ stay encountered any roaches. 3. Renters did state that the Villa was “very clean” and “owner was responsive to any issues”. 4. It would have been helpful for renters to actually notify us of ALL issues, as I have a note by the villa’s phone with my home and cellphone numbers, stating “to call me at any time.” We live close to the villa and am able to quickly respond. 5. As to the villa being a “little dated”, we continuously make improvements and just had a new tile kitchen floor installed, purchased a new stainless steel refrigerator/freezer and a new leather chair for the master bedroom. 6. The lanai surface needs some TLC and we are attending to that.”

We had a wonderful stay at the villa and thought the location was outstanding being minutes from the beach and a couple of minutes driving to a range of shops and restaurants. The villa is large and comfortable and is perfect for a family holiday. The pool area is particularly attractive and where we spent most of our time. This was our first time to Marco Island and we will definitely return and would be more than happy to stay at this villa again.

Lovely Villa

  • 4 of 5

We stayed in Marco Island for the first time for eight days in November. The Villa is within a minutes walk to Tigertail beach and very close to shops and restaurants. The villa is very comfortable and clean and has everything you need for an enjoyable stay.

There are lots of things to do on Marco island, including the Dolphin Explorer, proximity to Everglades City and the airboat rides or National Park tours.

If we visit this area again we wouldn't hesitate to book again.

A lovely stay and the owner was very caring, making sure that everything was okay.

Owner's Response: Marco Island is a wonderful destination to explore sunny Southwest Florida. We strife to make our guests stay in our rental villa as comfortable as if it is their own home.
