Views and tranquility

A lovely well laid out villa with unusually great indoor/outdoor flow over one level for a property with such lovely views. Monte Corona is a quiet urbanisation, perfect for a relaxing holiday and yet so close to the pretty town of Villalonga with great local bars and restaurants, and close to the coast. Highly recommended.

Only 20 mins from beautiful quite beaches of Oliva or 45 mins on freeway from Benidorm or Vallencia

Pleasant villa

The villa was very clean. The showers were both very good. The kitchen and villa in general was well equipped and furnished. The fan in the living room was great and the air conditioning worked in all 3 bedrooms, although it was too noisy to leave on during the night. Fans were provided, which helped with the heat.

It should be noted that the upstairs bedroom doesn't have a door - just a curtain, so when the people sleeping downstairs are up in a morning, so are you. Space is tight around the bed upstairs and three of us banged our leg on the end of the bed on the way to the bathroom - be aware of this.

Security - there are no safety deposit boxes/safes. This would be fine if all doors/windows had bars or shutters but unfortunately the patio doors which are at the front of the property don't have either. Although they shut and locked as they should, we felt they were a little flimsy and vulnerable for break-ins. This was the only area of the property we didn't feel was secure enough.

The villa is located in what I would describe as a remote location. The closest restaurant is on the urbanisation and is nice but basic - you can walk but it's a steep 10 minute walk uphill home. Villalonga is only a 5 minute drive away and there are some nice restaurants there. Gandia is around a 20 minute drive and here we found everything you need. If you are looking for peace and quiet - this is the area for you! Not much going on but perfect for relaxation!

The dogs next door were slightly annoying when trying to relax by the pool but they do calm down eventually. The neighbours who live there were pleasant. It was a shame they used such fowl language when eating dinner outside, but I understand you could get this anywhere. Glad we didn't have any children with us and we would have had to tell them if we did.

The pool was lovely. It was a shame the trees blow leaves in so it was a constant cleaning battle but in general it was a really nice, warm pool.

Steve who looks after the villa was lovely and we saw him twice, once to clean the pool and once for a general cooker inspection. Both times he was extremely pleasant and made recommendations to us in the local area. We could also get hold of Jackie when we needed to and she was brilliant in helping us when one of our family members went missing (temporarily!)

Lovely Experience

Our experience started before we arrived with the helpful and prompt response from Jackie. There were five of us travelling, and after a previous experience with another villa, we wanted to make sure the arrival instructions were adequate. Jackie emailed a document which not only gave precise details for the arrival, and how exactly to get there from the airport, but also where to rent a car, how to operate the oven, where to go shopping, and everything in between! It was amazing to have such an information - it made planning our holiday before, and finding our way about a breeze!

On arrival, the villa was beautifully presented and spotlessly clean, in the fridge we found some milk, butter and jam and bread and water - more than enough to keep us going before we could make it to the shops - and we thought this was a really nice touch! There is lots of outside space at the villa, so if you are a big party, like we were, there is plenty of room either side and round the back. The outside space is well presented, and there is a barbecue which is big enough to cook for 4 people. The pool was lovely and clean, and the pool man Steve came by as well to check everything was OK. He was very friendly.

We only had one concern before arrival and that was the privacy as the villa has neighbours on either side. On one side, the second floor of the villa is level with the ground floor of This villa, and is far enough away that you hardly notice. In fact, we didn't see the people next door until the day we left! (But we knew they were there because we could hear them in the pool). On the other side, the villa is above, and as a result, this villa is well below the far boundary of theirs. We saw them a couple of times - a nice couple who said 'good morning' and didn't bother us at all. Therefore we had no need to be concerned about privacy.

This was a lovely villa and a lovely holiday and we would definitely return to this stunning property.

Lovely holiday

Great villa…very well equipped and clean. Fantastic pool and Wifi which a necessity with teenage boys. Great service from Jackie…..lots of info and excellent directions to the villa. Steve also excellent and a very useful source of info. The location is lovely with a very friendly local town (Villalonga) with a good range of amenities. Beaches are super and very Spanish but a good 20mins drive away. We took the train to Valencia from Gandia and it was superb and such a great day we went back again! A wonderful experience of Spanish culture not to be missed. If you are looking for a villa in the heart of Spain then this one is for you. Thanks Jackie.

A choice of wide sandy beaches within 15 minutes drive. Some with facilities eg: bars/restaurants, sunbeds and some totally unspoilt.


1 hrs drive from Valencia Airport and just over 1 hour from from Alicante airport. There is a good train link from Valencia airport to Gandia. Car hire is highly recommended.


There is a bar/restaurant within a 5 minute walk of the Villa. Local villages within 2 minute drive in either direction with a selection of bars/restaurants and shops including a large, very well stocked supermarket. The large town of Gandia with excellent shops, bars, restaurants & cultural centre within 15 minute drive. Beautiful Lakes & Mountains just a short drive away. The theme parks of Benidorm are only 45 minutes drive away. There are plenty of local markets in the area to explore.

Bookings can be arranged by e-mail or telephone. £150 non-refundable deposit is payable at the time of booking with the balance payable 28 days prior to the arrival date. A refundable deposit of £100 against damage/breakage is also payable at the same time as the balance. This is refunded within seven days of departure provided there are no breakages or damage.

Changeover days are flexible in low season. Saturday to Saturday in peak season.

Notes on prices:
Prices are for the property per week in UK pounds.
There is an additional charge for the use of gas during winter months (October to April) at approximately £30 per week. Winter Let: ideal for retired couples. From 1 November to 31 March for minimum of one month £800 per month exclusive of gas and electricity. Villa is fully central heated with gas heating.
