Holiday Home in Iznajar, Andalucia - Two Patios

Situated in central Andalucía,set amongst peaceful olive groves yet only 2 minutes from main road, 10 minutes from beautiful Lake Iznajar with its extensive beach where you can swim and fish for truly gigantic carp. Also ideal for walkers, artists, bird watchers, bikers etc. A perfect central location for that away from it all holiday yet within easy reach of the cultural centres of Granada, Malaga, Córdoba and Seville plus night life and many local historical towns, villages and national parks. In winter you can ski in the Sierra Nevada mountains in the morning and sit on the beach in the afternoon. Also the perfect centre for house hunting in Central Andalucía. There are many bars/cafes/restaurants within a 10 minute drive where food is both tasty and inexpensive.

"The accommodation was just what we were looking for. A fantastic spot amidst the olive groves, a short drive away from Iznajar. Definitely a place to 'get away from it all'. The first holiday we've found where we could (and do) quite easily return to. Irene & Peter are fantastic hosts, who do their utmost to please their guests. They are also very happy to give local information and directions. Even though they live next door they are discreet and do not impose on your stay." John and Suzanne.

Thanks to Irene and Peter for the best holiday we can remember. The location is ideal, both tranquil and picturesque but within easy access of the motorway network. Positioned centrally between Seville, Malaga, Cordoba and Granada we were spoiled for places to see. With the added bonus of a beautiful pool waiting at the end of a long hot days sightseeing. A little gem

Thanks to Irene & Peter this was the perfect spot for our stay in Andulicia. To a clean & tidy property.The addition of a 'Welcome Pack' upon our arrival was a very nice touch. The owners, were always available for advice and a chat. Even assisting to take me to the nearby village to sort out a parking ticket I incurred on a visit to Cordoba. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay and the area. Will certainly consider booking again in the future. Highly recommended.

a perfect break

Irene and Peter were perfect hosts with a lovely welcome pack on arrival. The location is perfect and made an ideal base for visiting Cordoba and Granada. We can't visit thst area without popping into Nerja and found a lovely beach at Ricon de la Victoria. The pool was perfect to return to for a swim and relaxation after a day's sightseeing. Thoroughly recommend this property.

spring in spain

We enjoyed visiting this area of Spain in the spring when the weather was mostly sunny but not too hot for sightseeing. The property and pool are lovely, we even managed to swim most days! The owners are extremely helpful and there is a lovely starter pack of food for your arrival. The area is great for visiting Cordoba and the Alhambra/Granada. There is also the National Park and the Flamingo Lake within reach. The owners couldn't do enough to help with information etc and made us feel very welcome. We would definitely recommend this property to our friends and were very sorry to leave!

lovely place

We thank you very much Irene & Peter for all the help we got. the location of the apartment is superb, really peaceful and sharming. this is what we were looking for. interesting places to visit and all nearby. before travelling get a map of the area, this is all you need.

we were really impressed by the welcome pack, everything was there in the fridge, all you need for the next morning.

we would like to comeback in the near future.

Relaxation in beautiful surroundings

the location, apartment and facilities were perfect and accurately described, with a lovely welcome pack on arrival. Peter and Irene were first class very friendly hosts, discreet but always available if needed - we spent several very pleasant evenings in their company.

The swimming pool was spotless and totally private with beautiful views over the olive groves.

Good selection of Spanish restaurants/tapas bars within easy driving distance, La Paloma being one of our favourites for morning coffee and dinner.

For horse riders Cortijo Minas near Salinas is a must!

We know this area quite well as we have friends who we normally stay with nearby but we would certainly recommend this property to friends or relatives.

We love this part of Spain for the peaceful countryside but with its ease of access to the coast and larger towns for shopping and sightseeing.

Activity and Interests

Nearest Barpub : Los Cominos at 1 Kilometres Car: necessary


The beach of Malaga can be reached in 35 minutes with those of Torremolinos, Fuengirola, Benalmadena, Mijas, Marbella etc. just a short drive further along the coast. The fabulous caves of Nerja are just 90 minutes away.


Granada airport 45 minutes. Malaga airport 50 minutes. Due to the rural nature of the properties car hire is essential.


Only 10 minutes drive to the village of Iznájar, 20 minutes to Rute or Archidona where there are large supermarkets. Antequera, with its historic bullring is 25 minutes away, with El Torcal and Wolf Park just a little further. The world famous Alhambra Palace in Granada can be reached in 90 minutes and the Mezquita in Córdoba in 1 hour 45 minutes. The historic city of Seville is also a 1 hour 45 minute drive. Malaga city and beach are only 35 minutes away.

The owners, Irene and Peter live on site and are more than happy to provide any help you may need such as restaurants, bars, places to visit, where to shop etc. House hunters, this is the perfect central location, with good uncrowded roads and motorways, providing easy access to a wide variety of country, village and town properties where bargains are still to be had. Assistance and advice freely offered. In the area you will also find, bird watching, guided mountain biking, pony trekking and golf.

If you have any dietary preferences we are happy to oblige. We cater exclusively for the adult non smoker, Outside: Pool 8 metres by 4 metres, 1-2 metres deep, with underwater lights for that after dark dip on those long hot summer evenings. Patios with BBQ, sunbeds, parasols, dining table, 6 chairs. you can relax, tan and enjoy your poolside meals and drinks. We have a safe, private car parking area for our clients convenience. Cleaning / Towels / Linen. All linen and towels are provided (except beach towels) and they are changed weekly. Cleaning is also on a weekly basis. Other: A washing machine is available on request.
