Villa in Peyia, Coral Bay, Fantastic Location, 3 Minutes Drive From Coral Bay
Villa Dionysus is a large, south-facing villa capturing all the sunshine located in very picturesque village surroundings, only a 5 min walk from the centre of Peyia. Peyia has ample shops, tavernas, bars and restaurants (some of the best in Cyprus), it also has banks & taxis. It really is a place where you can spend many evenings soaking up the traditional Cypriot charm without needing to worry about driving home! For those who want something a little livelier, Coral Bay is only 2 miles away, where you have a wide choice of bars, restaurants. The Villa is furnished in a contemporary style. It has its own large private pool (8 x 4m) with ample sunbathing area. The Villa comes highly recommended and although car hire is recommended, a car is not necessary. The Villa offers a holiday suitable for all - whatever your requirements!

About the Owner
In the UK we own a property business where we rent out our own houses and those of others. We like to work hard but also relax in any spare time we have.
We enjoy socialising with our friends and family and our known for our great hospitality.
We love to travel and have visited many countries, Cyprus is obviously one of our favourites and that's why we return many times during the year.

Well it wasn't a wonderful start, as the taxi driver spoke no English, and got lost, even though they had the directions. But when we eventually got to the villa, it was worth it.
Had a fantastic 2 weeks, the pool was cleaned, I think by a ninja, as we never saw them once! but it was cleaned twice a week, they must have come very early in the morning :) The village of Peyia was just what we had hoped for, small, friendly, lots of restaurants & bars, although not open late, ( till about 11.30 - 12.00am ) but a little further up was a cocktail restaurant, that was open till 2.00am.
Eating wise, well it depends on what you like, if you like English food ( chips, burgers etc) then the Grand is for you, but it wasn't to our liking. The best ( yet it seemed less busy of all the restaurants ) was the Mediterranean, a fantastic seafood ( mainly ) place, the owner was lovely & funny, and her food was sublime! she even did us a complete 3 course meal take out one evening!
Cousins restaurant was another favourite, the best mezze in the village in our opinion.
Couldn't fault the food wherever we ate, unless of course, as I said before, you prefer maccy D's, fish & chips or sausage & mash, then this isn't the place for you. It is cyprus at its best, in food, friendly people, villa and weather!
Could not have asked from more in a holiday. will be returning.
Ideal holiday home in ideal location
Very happy to recommend this holiday home and village location. The home is situated a short walk from some lovely bars and restaurants - like others, our favourite was the Grande - as well as convenient for Philippos supermarket where you can buy everything you need very reasonably. Even Waitrose tonic water! The home itself is comfortable and clean and has everything you need to base your holiday from. It's basic as opposed to luxurious, but therefore very good value for money in my opinion. We hired a car for the duration of our stay and explored the area which was so easy as its like driving in the UK but much slower and less cars on the road! We also stayed in and relaxed by the good sized pool a few days which was cleaned and maintained twice each week. The kitchen has crockery which for two of us was sufficient but I think we'd have struggled if there had been 6 of us. And the frying pan was well used and not suitable for omelettes as we discovered! But bearing in mind it is the end of what I suspect has been a busy season for the owners, perhaps understandable. The home is opposite what I assume is a nursery so there were comings and goings during the days we stayed at home and very occasional children crying but nothing which caused us any disturbance. The cockeral crowing nearby in the morning or the odd goat bleating at feeding time didn't cause us any issues - there was enough distance between the holiday home and their location and we actually found it quite homely having these sounds around us. Our favourite restaurant was Sienna's which is on the main road between Coral Bay and Pathos, about a 10 minute drive from the home. Menu and food was amazing - good choice - reasonable prices and excellent service. Beautiful views at the back of the sunset over the sea. Booking is advisable though. All in all, a lovely holiday home, which we will definitely return to and recommend to friends and family.
Nice and large
The property was large and clean. You do need a car if you have children to go to most places as it's not possible to walk in the heat but the plus of that you get the quiet and beautiful views of peyia and coral bay
This is the second time we have stayed at this lovely villa. It is quiet and great for relaxing. It was bright and spacious, clean and well maintained and has all the facilities you need . Air con was great as it was August. It has 3 shower areas inside which we found very useful when there were 4 of us. The pool maintenance people come twice a week which is reassuring . As long as you follow the sat nav or written directions it is easy to find. There are some nice little places to eat very close by. The Brewery bar a few minutes away is great for a cheap breakfast and night entertainment. We particularly liked another nice bar close by called Vrissis but a short drive to Coral bay provides more night life and plenty of restaurants to choose from. I would suggest a car hire collected at the airport is essential to explore the island and driving is on the same side as the UK. Driving into Paphos is really easy and well worth a visit to stroll along the waterfront or book a boat trip. We have booked gain for this year in October... can't wait
Lovely Villa, fantastic pool.
This is a great villa. The bedrooms were all of a decent size and were air conditioned, the living area and kitchen was spacious, but the star was the pool and outside area which is where we spent most of our time. The outside table is in a covered area so you can get out of the sun at any time of day, which was great. We decided to go without a car, which worked pretty well, but we have a couple of tips in case antone else wanted to do the same-
1) The property isn't the easiest the find, and doesn't have an official address! We had some problems finding it on the first night, mostly because we tried to use the map off the website, which is wrong! Apparently, Google Maps is pretty useless in Cyprus as nothing is actually where it is marked! The owners sent some pretty clear directions which we'd have been better off using, but were kind enough to help direct us when we rang in a bit of a panic after driving around in a taxi for a while! We also had to do a bit of explaining to taxi drivers any time we wanted picking up to get down to Coral Bay or Paphos.
2) The village centre is a fairly short (if hilly) walk away, and has a number of nice tavernas and bars.
3) The Philipos supermarket has a great selection, and if you're buying a lot, they'll even deliver it for you, which was a life saver for us!
Anyway, thanks to the owners for a great week.
We had a great time, villa was perfect for walks into the village, very spacious, clean & near to coral bay for the beach. We ate in the village most nights would recommend the grand particularly for food. Thanks for letting us stay on later also.
From the Owner
“We first visited Cyprus is 2004 and enjoyed our holiday so much we decided to go back 2 months later and buy a villa. In fact we ended up buying one of the neighbouring villas to the one we originally stayed in! We wanted a holiday home that we could relax in, but wasn't too far off the beaten track that we couldn't walk to local amenities if required. So that's why Peyia suited us so well, really quiet but with everything close by. The local bars and restaurants are second to none in the Paphos region.”
