The villa is fully equipped with every modern amenity and appliance for your convenience and comfort. It is situated in the quiet urbanisation of Ladera del Aguila on the approach to the Caves of Nerja, an area with Its own bars and restaurants, set against a backdrop of beautiful mountain scenery and the national park. It is not far to Nerja's busy centre but nearer our home there is the sleepy village Maro which has around eight bars/restaurants and a couple of small supermarkets and shops. It has its own beach and a mini 'Balcon' set in front of the pretty village church. In Nerja itself there's an abundance of shops, restaurants and bars and five beaches which offer sunbed and parasol hire, pedalos and other water sports, all within a few minutes drive from the villa. Our 5 seater Peugeot 206SW estate or 7 seat Renault Grand Scenic, according to party size, is free for use by guests as a facility of the villa, for the duration of their stay. It is delivered to meet you on arrival at the airport doors (drivers must be age 25+). Full Details on cars and pick up are provided with your final joining instructions.

Superb villa in perfect location

This was our first time at this villa and it was fantastic. The villa is home from home with everything you need, from picking up the car at the airport, to its great location in the beautiful village of Maro. Thank You Terry and Ann we will be returning to your wonderful villa.

Fantastic villa very private.

Fantastic villa in great location you can see the sea in front and mountains behind you it is peaceful and private just what we wanted there are two terraces to each side of the villa so you can keep in or out of the sun. The villa was very clean and definitely well looked after the bathrooms looked brand new and the bedrooms are large with the benefit of air conditioning for keeping cool during the night. The lounge is very comfortable with a large TV and ample channels to watch if needed all with instructions for use and the kitchen is very well equipped with a huge fridge with an ice maker brilliant no buying bags of ice. Terry and Ann have been extremely helpful with everything from booking the villa to making sure we were okay when we were there and getting home. The car was a great asset for us it meant we could meet our friends and get to town and the beach without calling taxis and going to get the shopping was easy and the service for collecting the car and dropping it of at the airport was excellent. We would definitely recommend this villa we have been to a few now and this one ticked all the boxes for us. The restaurants are varied and many our favourite was Brussels on the burriana beach fantastic mussels and steaks.

Lovelyvilla

We had a great time in this lovely villa.Had a few teething troubles with electrics which were sorted out quickly by owners and management company,this caused us no inconvenience whatsoever.Collection and return of car at airport was easy,much better than standing in queue haggling over insurance with Spanish salesperson!! Six of us all agreed well worth another visit one day.

You did of course get a 'trip' you weren't expecting as a certain circuit breaker (part of a new board) seemed not to like one item we had connected and tripped out. Fortunately this didn't affect the rest of the villa and with your help, our advice by phone and a follow up visit from the management we got it completely sorted pretty quickly. We are pleased this didn't otherwise spoil the enjoyment of your holiday and you can still describe our home as 'a lovely villa'. If ever you want to do it again you will all be very welcome.

We have stayed at this villa several times and will keep returning. It has everything you need and the village of Maro has lovely restaurants. Having the car with the villa is a bonus for touring the area. Can't wait to return.

perfect retreat 😊

The villa had all we needed for a relaxing fortnight. It is in a quiet spot and having the pool to dip into even at night was perfect for us. Spacious and all mod cons. A couple of minor issues during the two weeks were dealt with immediately. Having the car was a necessity and very much appreciated

A wonderful place to stay!

We have just returned from another month's stay in this villa, our third visit and have booked again for the same time next year. The villa is very well equipped with everything you might need from kitchen equipment to buckets and spades.

We always stay in January and so particularly appreciate the two patios. Its always possible to be in the sun, whatever time of day and to avoid any cold wind that might be blowing! I imagine this arrangement would also provide welcome shade in the height of summer. Terry and Ann are always helpful, as are the maintenance company.

Picking up and dropping off the car at the airport is a real bonus.

I would recommend this villa for anyone (just not in January- as I want it then!)

The villa provides peace and serenity with all the advantages that a real whitewashed Spanish village can provide on your doorstep with all the additional benefits of the larger more cosmopolitan busy Spanish fishing village resort of Nerja just a few minutes away.

Activity and Interests

Nearest Airport : Malaga at 70 Kilometres Nearest Barpub : Nerja Caves, Bar Puente aguila or Hotel Al Andalus at 0.1 Kilometres Nearest Ferry : Malaga at 60 Kilometres Nearest Golf : La Caleta ( Baveira) at 10 Kilometres Nearest Train : Malaga at 60 Kilometres Nearest Motorway : Nerja at 1 Kilometres Nearest Restaurant : Hotel Andalus at 0.1 Kilometres Nearest Ski : Granada at 80 Kilometres Nearest Beach : Maro or Burriana Nerja at 1.5 Kilometres

Coast/Beach:

The beach in Maro is a few minutes drive, it has one restaurant which serves typical spanish cuisine. There are five beaches in Nerja (about 5-10 min drive depending on which beach). The main beach is the Burianna, where you will find plenty of watersports and activities offered including introductory scuba diving and day cruises along the coast. You will also find plenty of restaurants, bars and a variety of small tourist shops along here.

Travel:

Malaga Airport is appoximately a 45 minute drive.

Our Car is available for you to collect at the Airport to take you to our holiday home in Maro. Like our other villa facilities it is , of course, for you to use throughout your stay at our home.(You only pay for fuel). The car must be returned to the airport by 12 noon unless special arrangements have been agreed beforehand, so that it is available for arriving guests after this time too.

Distances:

Granada - Alhambra Palace is just over an hours drive from Nerja. Inland lake Vinuela - beautiful blue lagoon surrounded by mountains is worth a trip (about 30 min drive). Two Aqua Parks - one at Torre Del Mar (about 15 min drive) and one at Almunecar (about 15 min drive). Frigiliana, a nearby village was voted prettiest village in Spain.

Further Details:

The village of Maro has all the basic needs like small supermarkets, bars, restaurants, church and post office. There are larger supermarkets in Nerja itself and lots of gift shops, boutiques etc. Also in Nerja you will find banks and exchange shops to change your currency. Nerja also holds a large market on a Tuesday morning.

Changeover Day:
Changeover days are normally weekend during mid and peak season but flexible during the low season.
Arrival and departure times can also be flexible but we usually ask you to vacate the villa by 10.00am.

Notes on prices:
Long Winter lets from £275 per week. Prices shown are for the property per week in UK Pounds based on 6 people. Please note that the above prices include the free use of our car which is available for collection at the airport. Prices for Bank Holidays are subject to £50 pw extra charge. All prices are generally negotiable depending upon circumstances.

  • Notes on accommodation: All three bedrooms have air-conditioning. Internet access is available throughout the villa for a small fee in advance or PAYGO once there. ITV,BBC, C4 and Sky package of channels including Movies and Sky Sports is usually available via our TV boxes though reception cannot be guaranteed. Outside: The private outdoor swimming pool is 22' x 10' and ranges from 3' to 5' deep. There is a full range of patio furniture including sun loungers alongside the pool and on the other two terraces. The roof top terrace is above the master bedroom, whilst there is a lower level sun deck inside the private walled garden. Utility Room: Our recently created Utility / Casita area has washing machine, iron, ironing board, dustpans, brushes, buckets and mops and stores spare gas bottles and gas supply to kitchen hob. etc. Cleaning / Towels / Linen / Maid service: Bedlinen and bath towels are included and changed weekly. Cleaning at the end of your stay is also included. Other: There is hard standing parking to the front of the villa and a substantial integral garage under the main building. There are various bicycles in the garage for guests to use.
