Situated within The Old Village, this first floor studio apartment, with delightful views over the gardens, can be found just 25 minutes by car from Faro Airport and a 15 minutes walk to the marina at Vilamoura. Built in the style of 18th century Portugese architecture, the Old Village is well known for its style and beautiful landscaped sub tropical gardens and is completely pedestrianised. The village has its own bars, cafes, restaurants, supermarket, children's play area and three swimming pools, one with a shallow children's area and is surrounded by ample terracing with sun loungers. There is an onsite tours and transfers office (see photos)
I first visited The Old Village about 20 years ago, quite by accident. I fell in love with the quaint architecture and the beautiful gardens and returned for a couple of years before purchasing the apartment for its lovely view of the gardens and the added value of a balcony and roof terrace. I never tire of visiting and feeling totally relaxed.

Coast/Beach:
The Falesia beach (blue flag rated) can be accessed in half an hour by foot, and by 15 minutes by car. A motorized train leaves The Old Village every 30 minutes to the beach.
Travel:
Faro Airport is 25 minutes away by car. A car is not absolutely essential for Vilamoura itself, however it would be an advantage to golfers and those wishing to visit some of the surrounding areas. Transfers can be arranged from the airport to the apartment, and return.
Distances:
Vilamoura marina is a 15 minute walk away.
Vilamoura tennis centre is a 10 minute walk away.
The nearby town of Quarteira has a daily fish market and a general market every Wednesday and is easily reached by bus or taxi. The inland town of Loule which is 15 minutes by car has a popular food market every Saturday morning.

Booking Notes:
Prices are quoted in UK Pounds. A non refundable deposit of 50% is required at the time of booking with the balance being paid at least 30 days before arrival. Check our web site for availability. Keys will be collected from our on-site management agency or brought by the driver if a transfer is required.
Changeover Day:
The changeover day is flexible. Access to the property is at 1pm and vacation of the property is by 10.30am.
