Apartment in Lake Garda with Shared Pool, Situated in the Lugana Wine Growing Area of Sirmione del Garda

The apartment is situated in a quiet residential area about 500m from the southern lake shore in the heart of Lugana di Sirmione, with numerous bars, restaurants and shops within easy walking distance. Situated on the first floor of a private residential complex, a swimming pool is shared with other residents within the private grounds.

The apartment backs onto a vineyard of which you can buy the wine from the local fruit market. There are local bike hire shops and we recommend venturing out into the country to sample the local agritourism farms for lovely long lunches.

There are many ways to get around whilst visiting this area, by boat from Sirmione, train from Desenzano, Peschiera and by car which you can hire locally. Line buses to Brescia and Verona stop a few minutes walk away. Whether visiting the stylish city of Milan, relaxing in the nearby spa, or walking the historic towns and countryside, Appartamento Marini offers an excellent and tranquil base for all your activities.

The apartment is very family friendly and kitted out for children with useful items such as moses basket, travel cot, high chair, microwave bottle steriliser, hand blender, baby bath, and toys.

'We had a fabulous 3 weeks. Your apartment was fantastic, nothing to fault and the pool was used every day! We had a mix of weather but we didn't let that stop us exploring the area and the lake. We favoured Pescheria and also hired a boat from there one of the days. We never had a bad meal nor bottle of wine whilst there and would definitely return to the area in the future.' - Louise Clarke

Fantastic apartment, superb location

Well we have just had a fantastic 4 day trip to Italy and with this apartment as your base you can't go wrong. The location is brilliant, a short 5 min drive to Sirmione, 30 mins from Verona, 15 mins from a huge market on the tuesday just to name a few. Lake Garda itself was only a 10 minute walk from the accommodation and there are plenty of shops and restaurants. The apartment itself was well equipped and clean. We had 4 adults and it was very comfortable. Lovely balcony which catches the sun. Plenty of parking. Just everything you need to base yourself for a great holiday. Antonio the owner has been more than helpful and very quick to respond to any queries. The information he sent us was brilliant and we went off most of his recommendations for days out etc.

Great size and spotlessly clean

Recently spent 6 nights with my partner and toddler son. The appartment was spotlessly clean and excellently equipped especially for young families. Located within 10 minute walk to great breakfast and deli shops plus excellent pizza spot for dinner. Well located for exploring Lake Garda we managed a trip to monte baldo, Bardolino, Sirmione and a fantastic bike ride to Borghetto. Would recommend.

Fantastic spacious apartment in beautiful area

Lovely spacious, well equipped for a family of 5 apartment located in a small, friendly, very well presented residential area of Lugana. Within 5-10 mins walking distance of many fabulous restaurants, supermarket, Lake front & Sirmione.

Sirmione is an absolute must, one of the most beautiful places I have visited recently with the castle, the beautiful streets, shops, cafes, & ice cream shops, a very special place.

Would definitely recommend hiring bikes, this costs around 10 Euro's per person per day but is a fantastic way to see Lake Guarda & the children it, especially stopping regularly to cool off in the lake.

Verona which is only 20 mins away by car is a definite recommendation & also Venice.

We absolutely loved Sirmione, the lake and the apartment and will most definitely be planning on returning again.

Well maintained and equipped apartment in a nice residential complex

This was our second stay (11 years after the first) and we enjoyed it just as much as we thought we would. Apartment is good size for family of four, well equipped with nice terrace for eating out and very clean. Decent size swimming pool that is hardly used during the week. Antonio was very helpful and provided plenty of information to help us plan our visit.

The apartment is well positioned within walking distance of the lake and restaurants. Plenty to do around the lake for adults and kids: recommend trips to Gardaland, Monte Baldo, Laszie and old Sirmione. Verona is only about 30 mins away by car and you can make it to Venice by car in about 2 hours.

Lovely apartment in quiet location

Lovely spacious and well equipped apartment in small complex. Pool absolutely fab and with many of the other apartments only occupied at weekends we had it virtually to ourselves during the week. Some nice little restaurants about 10 mins walk away by the lake in Lugana and supermarket and other shops just a couple of mins away by car. Location makes it easy to access all parts of the lake as well as Verona and Venice either by car, train or local bus. Apartment itself is very well equipped with comfortable beds. No air conditioning but fans made it bearable in 34+ temperatures. Overall an excellent apartment in a good quiet location with the bonus of a lovely pool. Will definitely consider using it again.

Long weekend stay - Couple

The apartment is wonderful, very spacious and homely, and fully equipped. An excellent location with plenty of restaurants within walking distance and beautiful towns to explore. I would highly recommend for a relaxing break filled with local wines, ice creams and walks or a more action packed time exploring the local historic sites, shops and spa.

The owners were very helpful answering all our questions quickly and offered insights into the local differences such as toll roads etc.

Would definitely return in the future and recommend for couples, group of friends or family

Activity and Interests

Nearest Airport : Verona at 30 Kilometres Car: not necessary

Special interest holidays:

There are windsurfing and motor boat hire agencies nearby. Motor cycle hire also available in town. As well as being close to major cities, the Dolomites are within about 90 mins drive for excellent walking. There are also local diving centres in the area, if you fancy visiting historical sunken wrecks. We can arrange a visit to the Sgreve Vineyard which the apartment bedrooms overlook for wine tasting and nibbles, it's a great opportunity to stock up on a local wine, olive oil and balsamic vinegar while on your holiday.

Sirmione is served by the A4 motorway. The closest airport to Appartamento Marini is Verona airport (30km away) then Milan Bergamo (75km). There are two main train stations a short taxi ride away Desenzano (6km) and Peschiera del Garda.


A few minutes walk will take you to the main bus stop to Verona or Brescia (this will also deliver you outside the mainline train station for Milan and Venice). There are numerous bars restaurants and shops within easy walking distance of the apartment, alternatively local buses will take you the 2 miles of so to the picturesque medieval island village of Sirmione where ferries regularly depart for lake tours.

Further Details:

Relax and indulge by spending a day at the local Aquaria, the thermal well-being centre in Sirmione. This complex features a number of indoor and outdoor geothermally heated pools that open directly onto the splendid shore of Lake Garda.

Or visit one of the local well know vineyards which offer wine tasting. Each time we visit our apartment there always seems to be something new to discover in the area, and on our last visit we stumbled across some of the agro-tourism farms that have started up in the area. We spent a number of wonderful afternoons cycling through the countryside to enjoy a lovely long lunch surrounded by the vineyards that produced the wine we were drinking. There’s even an agro-tourism dairy farm nearby which a local recommended for the best ice cream and cheese in the area.

To entertain the children there are plenty of day activities to choose from. Nearby Gardaland is a theme park suitable for all the family in Peschiera (15km). Caneva World, 2 theme parks in 1; a movie theme park and water park (20km). Or visit Parco Natura Viva, a wildlife park in Pastrengo (15km).

  • Notes on accommodation: All rates included in price. Due to the 'dog leg' stair access the apartment would not be appropriate for wheelchair users. Outside: The private balcony is furnished for meals 'al fresco’; the balcony also has a gate to prevent little ones from wondering downstairs to the pool area by themselves. We have sunbeds that can be used by the pool. There is ample off street parking to the front of the apartment complex. Cleaning / Towels / Linen / Maid service: Apartment is cleaned prior to arrival. Bed linen and towels are provided free of charge. We kindly request that towels are not taken out of the apartment and guests leave the kitchen area clean and tidy prior to their departure. Other: You will find essentials such as drying rack, iron, and board within the apartment. There is plenty of off street parking for the residential complex. Entry to the residential complex is through a secure key access gate.
