Luxury Air Conditioned Villa with Pool.

The moment you walk through the front door you are struck by the light that steams into the spacious vaulted ceilinged living area. As you head out onto the large south facing pool deck you recieve a feeling of space and seclusion.

Our villa is furnished to a high standard and is equiped with everything you need for your stay. It has a well equiped kitchen, has free wi-fi, and a free gas BBQ. All towels and linen are provided and there is a large washing machine and tumble dryer for your personal use during your stay.

The pool deck recieves all day sunshine and has a shaded area with table and chairs with a fan above for alfresco dining. The deck is equipped with sun loungers and deck chairs and there is also a pool fence, essential if you have small children and easily removed if you do not.

The Master bedroom with King size bed is downstairs, with ensuite bath / shower and a dressing room. Upstairs there are three more bedrooms (two twins and a double) and a family bathroom with bath and shower.

High chairs / cribs / strollers are provided free of charge (just let us know what you need).

Great stay

Stayed here the end of may till the start of June for two weeks.

The villa itself is clean and tidy inside and has all the equipment needed for a two week stay. Although the house is far too big for only 2 and we felt the space was wasted on us and would be great for a family.

The pool area was clean and tidy which had a BBQ if you wished to use it.

Highland Reserve is a fantastic area and is quiet and kept tidy. We really did feel safe there.

A 30 minute walk away was an IHOP and Applebee's along with a public and a couple of bars, to me this was great to still out to the shops and bar at night or during the day.

Having stayed in a few over the years the location is one of the best and the villa is an ideal price and great value.

Dave the owner answered emails right away which gave added peace of mind.

If going back would definitely book again having these 3 pluses.

Exactly what we were looking for, relaxed, clean & everything we needed

We had a mini family get-together at the villa, staying there between the 1st and 15th April 2017 to celebrate my husband's 50th birthday. We had excellent service from the owner right from making an enquiry through to when we left (I booked 12 months in advance). I was given all the information/instructions needed in good time and all was easy to understand.

The villa was very clean and tidy. It had everything we (5 adults and one teenager) needed for a very comfortable 2 week stay. The pool was fabulous, being south facing and was in use ALL the time. I recommend the heating for the pool, which we had, and it was excellent (have stayed elsewhere on Highlands Reserve previously, where the heating we paid for did not work and we couldn't use the pool as a result, despite it being 'fixed' more than once during our stay).

I fully appreciate the expense and effort that goes into maintaining a property on the estate and the owners of this villa have clearly committed to this. It made all the difference. We had a wonderful 2 weeks and felt very at home in the villa. Thank you very much.

Impressive spacious villa

Arrived at villa after following easy to follow directions. Unfortunately I had forgotten to bring the key safe number. Phoned Sue from the property management company who gave me the number and came to the villa to make sure we got in ok. The villa was spacious and well laid out, clean and tidy. The pool was well used, the kids would have stayed in the pool all day every day if they had been allowed. WiFi was excellent, much faster than back home. The location of the villa was ideal, quiet enough but still near enough shops, restaurants and of course theme parks. I lost the key and locked us all out, so had to phone Sue, who quickly appeared with another key. (Found the key whilst emptying the car before returning it). You never really know how good or bad service is till something goes wrong and have to say that Sue from the management company was excellent. Would have no hesitation whatsoever going back to this villa. It is also worth mentioning that the communication from Dave, the villa owner was also first class.

Highlands reserve villa

property was in an excellent location for commuting to the parks, approx 30 mins to the disney parks. Very quiet location when we were relaxing, heated pool was excellent and the villa was very spacious. The pool was cleaned during our visit.

HOME FROM HOME

The villa was absolutely fantastic, being clean, comfortable, well-maintained and providing us with a wonderful retreat after our fun-filled days. The landau, pool and sun terrace area also provided a welcome and relaxed contrast to the hub-bub of the theme parks. Everyone felt very much at home from the outset and we all enjoyed having the peace of the neighbourhood, at the same time, being within a few minutes drive of all the parks and amenities.

Restaurants we would recommend are Applebey's, The Olive Garden and Carraba's. If you want a good steak, try Manny's or Outback.

We would happily return to this particular Florida home and would have no hesitation in recommending it to family and friends, Sarah, Mark, Sam, Alex and Jade (June 2016).

Convenient location, close to markets, gas, restaurants, golf course and other attractions.

Overall, our group had a good time and enjoyed the home and especially the heated pool. There was lots of room for four people, everyone had their own bedroom and TV. For me, the property was cleaned, however we had some issues with the TV/cable remote control in the living room as some of the channel up and down buttons did not work, the ice maker was trying to make ice cubes but it was clogged with frost, garbage disposal leaking water under the sink (discovered on the last day when getting rid of food), and the shower control in the upstairs bathroom was not installed correctly. It did work once we figured out where the set it for the correct temperature. That being said, there was plenty of hot water which was great. Then, after only using the grill for 1 1/2 meals, the gas ran out. We ended pulling the ribs off of the grill and cooked them in the oven. I called the property owners and they said that I would have to fill it a local store at my expense. I asked why I should have to pay to refill the tank and indicated that it should have been filled before my arrival. Overall, I did not want to pay $20 to fill up the tank for possibly one or more uses and leave the remaining gas for the next guest. Why should I pay to fill a propane tank if I wasn't going to use most of it? I would recommend the property if the above issues were resolved. Overall, the group enjoyed our stay but we expect everything to work correctly.

Owner's Response: Hi John, Thankyou for providing your feedback. I am glad that you enjoyed your stay but obviously disappointed that you only rated us at 3 stars. We are very proud of our villa and our property managers work hard to ensure that guests enjoy their stay. We have therefore taken the issues you had very seriously. I have listed those issues and the actions we have taken since your stay to try and ensure that they do not re-occur. - TV/cable remote control in the living room - some of the channel up and down buttons did not work. "It appears that the remote was out of sync with the TV which can sometimes be caused by human error by pressing too many buttons. However a Brighthouse engineer was called out and found because the TV sensor is one side and the cable box sensor is on the other and the two are wide apart, the remote may miss and only turn on one item therefore going out of sync. He therefore placed a sensor blaster next to the TV which will take out this problem in future. We have also left an instruction sheet showing all the channels for guests. - The ice maker clogged with frost "The fridge and ice maker do work properly but the fridge does frost up from time to time due to its age. To prevent this happening to other guests and due to its age we have decided to replace the fridge". - Garbage disposal leaking water under the sink "The Garbage disposal unit was found to have a crack in it and it has been replaced". - Shower control "The shower control was fitted when the house was built and has never been changed. Sue our property manager has checked the shower and it is working as it always has. We have never had anyone mention this to us before and we have never had a problem with it. No further action is being taken". Gas BBQ "We provide the use our own gas BBQ free of charge. We do however expect guests to provide gas when needed and leave it in the state they expect to find it. We believe this is the most cost effective approach for our guests as not everyone wants to use the BBQ. We can provide gas on arrival, which we are happy to do, and clean the BBQ when you leave but this would incurr additional cost. I think the problem was that this was not made clear in our listing and our communications with you. I am updating our listing and will ensure we cover this in our response to enquiries" Best Wishes Dave

Location

Coast/Beach:

Both the Gulf coast and the Atlantic coast are about an hours drive away. The Gulf Coast has unlimited fine, white, sandy beaches and is generally much safer and warmer.

Travel:

Use of a car is essential to enjoy the many attractions of Central Florida. The house is located about 30mins drive from Orlando International Airport and about an hours drive from Sanford International Airport or Tampa International Airport.

Distances:

The house is about 15 minutes from the Disney theme parks, about 30 minutes from Sea World, Universal Studios or Gatorland and about one hour from the Kennedy Space Centre.

Further Details:

There is a Publix Supermarket adjacent to the site and numerous banks are nearby. Central Florida is a Retail therapist's dream with many outlet malls etc. Since most Americans dine out, there is a wide choice of restaurants around from fine dining to buffets and fast food.
