Villa in Oliva, Costa del Azahar, Spain - Quiet and Secluded Location Close to Local Amenities

Situated near the coast in the Costa Blanca, the villa offers stunning views and luxurious accommodation. Situated on a large private hillside plot with panoramic views of mountains, orange groves and the sea at Oliva Beach. Within safe walking distance of the local town of La Font Den Carros and 5mins drive to Oliva with many shops, restaurants, bars and award winning 'Blue Flag' beaches. Recently refurbished to a very high standard. All bedrooms have ceiling fans and direct access to a large breakfast terrace, where you can enjoy a morning coffee while soaking up the sun and views. The lounge/dinning room has access to a large covered dining terrace with outdoor table and chairs for alfresco dining. Steps lead down to the lower gated pool terrace. The pool terrace also features a WC, shower and pool bar room, whilst the pool itself is solar heated. The Roman style pool features a spectacular grotto and waterfall.

Notes on accommodation: Pool area gated and lockable. Access not suitable for infirm or disabled. Outside: Private Roman style pool with grotto and fountain (approx 5m x 10m). Includes solar pool heating. The open and covered terraces on three levels are ideal for alfresco dining, sunbathing or a poolside barbecue. Facilities include a large gas powered barbecue, outside dining tables, chairs, sun loungers, etc. Utility Room: Iron, ironing board, vacuum cleaner, hair dryer. Cleaning / Towels / Linen / Maid service: Towels and linen included, pool and villa cleaned between lets through a local property management company. Other: Pool terrace has separate wc, shower and pool bar kitchen including fridge, freezer, microwave and sink.

Beautiful villa for a relaxing holiday.

We had a wonderfully relaxing week at the villa. The pool is superb and the house very well equipped. The air conditioning in the bedrooms was extremely welcome and the beds were very comfortable.

We would love to return!

Beautiful House with everything we wanted

We're a family of 6, with 3 teenagers and a younger child.

We all loved the house and the kids really enjoyed the pool.

The views were beautiful and the house was stocked with all those extras from kitchen paper, washing-up liquid, tea, coffee etc. that you normally have to run out and buy on your first day.

Plenty of room and only a 10-15 minute walk to the nearest town.

Really hope we get back someday

Excellent spacious villa with beautiful pool

We loved this place the moment that we walked into it. It's so spacious, the photos don't do justice to it. Overall, a cracking villa and great value for money.

All three bedrooms were large and each has air conditioning which was a welcome surprise and made for very comfortable nights. The lounge/dining area was very clean and comfortable with English TV audio which the kids enjoyed during the heat of the day. The kitchen was modern, clean, spacious and well equipped with far reaching views.

There are so many places to sit in the sun or in shade with three levels of outside seating. Being high on the side of a hill often meant a gentle breeze would keep the heat down and the views from the dining terrace were lovely with distant nightly fireworks, mountain thunderstorms or overlooking the comings and goings of the orange groves below.

The pool and pool area is wonderful with sufficient seating/lounging and shade, and a kitchen with fridge for cold drinks during the day. The pool is so much fun for floating around on one of the many rings/lilos that have been left by previous guests and being 7 feet at the deep end shallowing out to less than 3 feet in the grotto it's perfect for all activities. There's simply no need to leave the pool terrace from morning to night if you're planning a day at the villa.

In reading other guests reviews I'd comment that we didn't have any problem with stairs. The villa is on a hill so we expected stairs. Didn't notice them being steep or dangerous in any way.

The supermarket in the nearest town, La Font, is a decent size and only 3 minutes by car. We could always park on the street within meters of the shop so found it very convenient. Didn't really find anywhere appealing to eat in La Font however but there's plenty of other lovely towns around. Gandia is well worth a visit with easy underground parking, lots of nice shops and alley ways and a lovely wide leafy avenue similar to Las Ramblas in Barcelona only without all of the drunks, beggars and street sellers. The beach at Oliva is a classic Mediterranean sandy beach but you need to take your own sun shade and something to lie on. We found a beach umbrella and beach mats in the pool kitchen at the villa which I presume were left by previous guests. Get to the beach early as it can get quite busy. Head to the North end of town for a lovely lunch under shade at the marina restaurant.

Excellent villa with great views

Just returned from a week at Casa Soleada which the whole family really enjoyed. The kids loved the pool which the pictures do not do justice of. A lovely covered seating area where we had breakfast and bbqs off the first floor. Off the 3 bedrooms there is a large sun terrace with table and chairs and sun loungers. Very peaceful but within close vicinity of local towns and great beaches. Great views of mountains and sea. Highly recommended.

Not for vertigo sufferers

We booked this villa only a few weeks before we went. It is a very good size and the pool is lovely.

A few negative things though - stairs, these really need to have handrails, I don't do heights at all well and ended up going up the stairs like a child!!

Inside - the crockery and cutlery could do with replacing, people have been putting the cutlery in the dishwasher making the plastic handles all sticky and horrible, sam,e goes for the chopping boards.

Air conditioning in all bedrooms didn't work sufficiemtly, to ensure a decent nights sleep too the waterproof sheeting had to be removed.

BBQ - a good sized gas barbeque but on lifting the lid we decided against using it - Vere gave it a clean when he came to clean the pool but even so we still felt it would be a health hazard to eat anything cooked on it.

Even with the above negatives we still had a pleasant week, fireworks in the disance to watch when each village had a fiesta, so much so we booked another villa in Javea and extended our holiday

Owner's Response: The few negative points have been discussed with Vere, the owner of Parasol Property Services who maintains the Villa and looks after guests. Vere mentioned that the only point raised during the stay concerned the BBQ. The BBQ was cleaned before arrival, and as said, it was given another clean Involving degreasing and then cleaning with hight temperatures while the BBQ was turned on. No issues with the air conditioning were reported during your stay. The units are checked regularly to make sure the remote controls work and the units are operating sufficiently. It was phenomenally hot during your stay (over 30 degrees at night). The units will be checked again and serviced if necessary. I agree the cutlery and chopping boards need replacing and they will be replaced before the next guests arrive. I'm not sure what can be done about the stairs. Most holiday villas are located on hills or mountains around the coast and have steps.
