Townhouse in Denia, Costa Blanca - Peaceful Location, Great Views of Sea and Mountains

Casa Failte is a stylish townhouse located on the beach at Playa Almadrava in the village of Els Poblets which is 8km west of Denia in the Northern Costa Blanca. The villa is set amongst a small development of 40 similar properties. In the centre of the complex is a large communal swimming pool and childrens pool which are set in pleasant and secluded gardens. The villa comprises 4 levels. The basement garage is accessed directly from the living room. The ground floor includes a front terrace/garden, large living/dining room, fully fitted kitchen, shower room and utility. On the first floor there is a master bedroom with balcony, plus twin and single bedrooms and a bathroom with shower. The roof terrace boasts a built-in barbeque. When dining alfresco you can enjoy the awesome views of the Segaria Mountains and Mediterranean coast. There is a couple of local supermarkets plus a number of restaurants and cafes nearby.

I would highly recommend this Property, it totally suited our needs, From the moment we had early discussion with Mr Drumgoole until we had to reluctantly leave everything was perfect. This was our first family holiday abroad with the Grandparents and it was an absolute joy. We thoroughly enjoyed the holiday and wouldn't hesitate to return to this property.

The Townhouse was spacious, clean and tidy and located in a quiet complex. It had a shared swimming pool which felt like our personal pool which our 18month old daughter really enjoyed.

It was located on a pebble/stone beach but only a short walk to a lovely sandy beach with a number of restaurants within walking distance.

In summary this place has it all and in my opinion would suit everyone's needs whether it was a first family holiday to a quiet relaxing holiday I would recommend here.

Great Location.

Property was as described,however one of the bedrooms was to small to have had 2 single beds in which made being in the room very tight, it was hard to get between the beds, which lead to several bruised legs, there was not enough wardrobe space for 2 either. The shower downstairs was great very large and roomy. The linen for the beds was very poor and needs updating, it was all bubbly, and none of it matched, which did look and feel very poor. The TV must be at least 10 yrs old, and sofas don't match, when you are there for a long time it is nice to have good things around you. The space that you have in the house is great, plenty of room, the garage is great as it keeps the car so cool, just a shame the house does not have air con, it really needs it, and maybe a good shelter at the front of the house as it gets so hot you can not use the patio area until at least 8pm in evening. Lots of books there to read, and the kitchen is well stocked, everything you need, maybe new pans that work on the NEW oven. Had a great time, the pool was always clean, and the area was very clean. Very near to shop and plenty of places to go and eat and drink. Best place we found to drink and eat in the center of town was Quelcuttis run by couple of English lads, think it was also on Gordan Ramseys show. Great place, would recommend x

Owner's Response: Thank you for your review. Our comments are as follows: Not sure which bedroom you are referring to but the 2nd bedroom has two single beds and plenty of space between them. Did you move the beds together? The room is not designed for two single beds to be put together and we request that the furniture is not moved. The 3rd bedroom has one single bed. There is a large wardrobe in the 3rd bedroom and small wardrobe in the 2nd bedroom and two sets of chest of drawers. The bed linen will be replaced this year. The television is in good working order. We also have plenty of DVD/videos available. The sofas aren't designed to match. One of which is a fully sprung sofa bed which allows us to accommodate upto seven people in one rental. We have a freestanding a/c unit and a number of electric fans. The front terrace does get hot in the afternoons. We provide a parasol with the garden furniture which does provide shelter. There is also a Bouganvilla which normally covers the pergola above the front terrace. It could have been cut back prior to your stay. We are glad you enjoyed you enjoyed your stay at Casa Failte. We agree about the great location close to shops, bars and restaurants and of course the beach. Further, to my previous comment I can confirm that all bed linen, sheets, pillows and towels have now been replaced with new. We have also purchased 2 No sun-loungers, new parasol and seat and table covers for the garden furniture. We would also confirm that the Bouganvilla which covers the pergola on our front terrace provides a good sun shading, particularly when in full bloom.

Casa Failte is located on the beach at Playa Almadrava. This is a fishermans beach and it is possible to watch the locals catching octopus in the early morning and fishing off the beach at night. The water is clean and very clear. There are safe and sandy beches from Gandia to Denia. Oliva and Javea also have excellent beaches.


Casa Failte is located halfway between Alicante and Valencia Airports. 1 hour drive from either Airport. Car Hire is strongly recommended however, it is possible to reach the villa by train, coach & taxi from Alicante.


10 min drive along Las Marinas road to Denia. Or 15 min drive to Oliva. Village of Els Poblets 10 min walk. 20 min drive to Javea. 2 championship golf courses 10 min drive.

Further Details:

Well-stocked local supermarket, bank with cash machine, numerous restaurants including Spanish, Italian, Chinese & German varieties. Public telephone, Pharmacies in Els Poblets, Hospital in Denia. Leisure activities include swimming, windsurfing, fishing, tennis, horseriding, quadbiking etc. Exploring the Moorish castles and sampling local cuisine. Safari park nearby. Aqualandia, Mundomar, Terra Mitica only 30 min drive.
