Vale Santa Maria Apartment is a spacious 2 bed apartment ( Special long winter let rates also available on request ), which consists of a large bedroom containing a double bed and a single bed, the 2nd bedroom has a double bed. It comfortably sleeps up to 5 people ( approx. 80sqm plus a 15m long balcony) and therefore represents excellent value for holidays looking for economy and that bit of extra comfort. It has satellite tv connected to the TV in the living area and the main bedroom. Music is available through a modern cd stereo unit, a video and dvd player are also included, so bring your cds and videos! If you want to keep the kids occupied there are cartoon channels too! All the home comforts you just don't get in a hotel room, it is really homely. Situated 4/5 mins walk (400m) to the beach and the picturesque old town square of Albufeira.

Willing to spread payments into 3 installments if reserved long time ahead.

We have been coming for 8 years, twice a year to the same apartment, We love the decor, location, absolutely everything, the owner is brilliant, any problems he is so quick to attend and gives total privacy if not needed, personal pick up takes all the worry away also. Frank and Lil.



Really large beautiful apartment, pictures dont do it justice, our 3rd year, Owner on call slightest problem attended too with efficiency. We love the balcony, sun all day and oh so big! Rachel, Craig and kids.

Fantasic place to stay in Albufeira!

This is our 3rd stay through Andy's apartments, he is courteous, polite and efficient and each of our trips has been without any problem. Its like home from home.

Santa Maria is a lovely, clean, spacious, has everything you need and conveniently close to shops, restaurants and bars. There is a little shop across the road for everyday things.

A ten minute walk takes you to the swimming pool also run by friendly owners Dave and Lynn with a little snack bar too (beds included in Andy's price!!)

Andy or Dave can do Airport transfers at a good price too and have in the past helped us get to other places during our hols, both very helpful, nothing is ever too much trouble. Andy is always contactable via mobile too before and during your holiday.

Great beach, watersports, restaurants (we like Bravo in the square) and then fab night life with live music and entertainment in most places.

So definitely would recommend Andy's apartments if you are travelling to Albufeira.

Great spacious Apartment

Had a very pleasant stay at Andy’s apartment in the Old Town. We had originally looked at the one bedroom but this wasn’t available so Andy offered us his two bedroom apartment. Main bedroom is a great size with plenty of storage space. All cupboards in the bedroom lock and there is a safe within the cupboards too, so felt comfortable about leaving valuables stored there. A fairly compact kitchen but everything you need for self-catering (you certainly don't cook much with all the restaurants so close by!). The balcony definitely has to be the main feature, it’s huge! It was great for having breakfast in the mornings and a drink in the evening looking down into the old town. We would have no hesitation to recommend this apartment to friends and family. It’s very handy for the Old Town, which is awash with great restaurants. The beach isn’t too far either, about a 10 minute walk. However, this resort might not be so suitable for the elderly and those less mobile as it is quite hilly and there are quite a few steps. However, absolutely fine for us. We didn’t get round to using the pool (which is a short walk away) so I can’t comment on this. Andy himself picked us up and dropped at the Airport and he couldn’t have been more helpful. A pleasant holiday all round.

A great value apartment for a family stay

My wife, two teenaged daughters and I stayed here in August 2016 and we had a truly enjoyable week. The apartment was more than spacious enough for the four of us (my wife and I shared the smaller, double room while my daughters shared the master bedroom, with the two beds). The lengthy balcony was where we ate breakfast each morning in the sunshine and relaxed with a drink at and after sunset. Andy (the very courteous owner) picked us up direct from Faro airport when we arrived - at midnight! - and and explained all about the town and the apartment as we drove to it. Albufeira is built on the side of a very steep hill (there's no escaping that) but the apartment is only around a ten minute walk downhill into the main old town square and the beach, and (for me at least) a fifteen minute walk back up, via two sets of steps and the square around the old church. There is a (seven storey) elevator straight down to the beach, that you can reach in around a ten minute walk on a flatter route from the apartment, but to be honest after doing it a couple of times I didn't find the walk back up that difficult at all. Just a little further along the same road that leads to the elevator (so along that flatter walk) is a big supermarket where we went to stock up the fridge at the start of the week, but right opposite the apartment is a smaller off-license type store stocking bread, cheese, ham, tins and importantly water, milk, wine, beer etc, so you don't need to cart any heavy items all the way back from the larger one. There are also a couple of bars with free wi-fi access just around the corner, and the restaurant next to the apartment was one of the nicest we found in town (we ate there twice). Andy's TV gets all the English channels (BBC etc) so we could even watch breakfast TV while getting ready to go out. We soon settled into a routine of going to the pool in the mornings, then going down for the beach and old town shopping in the afternoon. The pool was lovely, a bit of a snaking (ten-minute) walk along, up, and along the hill but not busy - we went every morning and had it to ourselves twice. It has a little pool bar run by a retired English couple, Dave and Lynn. The beach is ideal for swimming - very warm water. We did go out on a "dolphins and caves" boat trip excursion one day from the Marina (a half-hour walk around the headland) and were lucky to come across a huge shoal of them! Highlight of the trip! In short, highly recommended!

Perfect stay!

Had another great time in Albufiera Old Town, our 9th visit in 10 years ( missed a year in Australia ). Our 7th visit to this Apartment, so you could say We like it! Other 2 visits in Andys other ones which are also very good, but this one our favorite. This one tips the balance because of its huge balcony, love it for sunbathing in total privacy, and super for a take away in the evening, our favorite Indian take away opposite.The apartment pristinely clean and well maintained. The beds the most comfortable we have ever had whilst on holiday! The apartment is very big and well located with only a 5 minute walk to the beach, restaurants and a large supermarket that contained a butcher, great fresh fruit and veg selection. You will not want for anything. Andy was as good as gold as always. He personally picked us up and took us back to the airport. Such a nice attentive chap. He is always on hand should you need him and takes great pride in what he does. Nothing is too much. The apartment has everything you will need for a self catering holiday. I would not hesitate to recommend this or any of Andy's apartments. You will not be disappointed, its all it says it is in the advert and more, very good value. Pam and Steve.

Activity and Interests

Coast/Beach:

5 min walk (500 m) to Albufeira's 2 local beaches.

Travel:

Faro Airport is some 30 minute drive away. Customer collection and return is arranged for a small amount and you are taken right to the door with the apartment keys (handed to you at the airport). If you wish to hire a car direct from the airport, then arrangements are made to meet with key etc.

Distances:

Many local towns and villages are within driving distance but Albufeira has countless bars, restaurants and shops ( incl supermarkets) within minutes walking distance, a car is not necessary if you prefer to take it easy.

Further Details:

Albufeira offers a superb range of shops, bars and restaraunts to suit all tastes and budgets. Should a car be required We can provide information on local companies who offer a good service and competitive rates. There is always someone on call, usually the owner himself who personally makes sure everything runs smooth and is available should you need help or advice about local activities or amenities during your stay.

Free to reserve for first 48 hours while you sort your flights out. Then 50% deposit payable (non-refundable), size of deposit negotiable if reserved a long time ahead, other 50% balance (non-refundable) due 8 weeks before arrival.

Security deposit of 100 pounds or its equivalent in cash is required on arrival in the event of breakages. An inspection is carried out on departure and your monies refunded if no breakages..

Wi fi in the apartment is optional from 15 euros for duration of your stay, paid locally.

Will consider less than a weeks stay, but may involve a surcharge which will be quoted in full and in reply to the Customers inquiry!

Optional payment methods, bank transfers or cheque.

Changeover Day:
There is no preference for a changeover day and we do take part weeks, ie 8/9/10/11 day. Check in 1400 at latest and check out is by 1100 at earliest, however we do try to check in on arrival and check out as late as possible.

Prices are inclusive of energy costs except for long winter lets.
Special Winter let rate of 115 pounds per week is available on 6 week lets or more between November & March, electric & water are charged at cost for winter lets, meters read on arrival.

Prices are based on up to 4 persons, for each person over 4 there is a 25 pound per week supplement.

Air con is optional in the main bedroom at 30 pounds per week, you can choose this option when you are here if needed!

Euros also be accepted at competitive conversion rates.
