This impressive, recently built two bedroom apartment is presented to a very high standard, situated within a five minute walk of the beautifully conserved, award winning and white washed Andalucian village of Frigiliana. Accommodation overlooks, a large shared swimming pool, within well kept gardens, which provides peace and seclusion, with spectacular mountain views. About Tony Clarke

Hi, My name is Tony and my lovely partner is Lorene, we both live in Derby. Lorene works for the local government and I own a small engineering company along with two other directors. I have one daughter who works for a local housing association, who I am proud to say with a little help from her husband has given us two grandchildren - Madison Paige and Penelope Grace.

We fell in love with Frigiliana back in 2004 and we visit 3 or 4 times every year, we never get fed up and feel at home every time we visit. The locals are very friendly and make you feel welcome. Our property is located in the old town of Frigiliana and is only a few minutes walk to centre of the village.

We thoroughly enjoyed our holiday to Frigiliana, it's a very unspoilt and pretty village with everything you need to hand. We loved exploring the village and seeking out all of its hidden restaurants and bars. We enjoyed shopping in the local shops each day for fresh bread, cheese, ham etc and the English run wine shop was great and the owners very helpful and friendly. We found the apartment very clean and well equipped with everything you need. We had a very relaxing time and have recommended it to our friends. M Poulter, Yarnton, Oxfordshire.

'It was wonderful as you know, we can’t wait to go back. All the restaurants were so reasonable (even those deemed to be ‘up market’! The photos don’t do the town justice: the views are spectacular. We found everyone (residents and Spaniards) to be really welcoming. Frigiliana is such a safe place; we were quite happy for our three to go off by themselves.' R Hilton, Mickleover, Derby.

Notes on accommodation: There is a ironing board and iron also heaters for winter use. For your safety a smoke alarm and small fire extinguisher have been installed. It is preferred that our guests do not smoke within the apartment. Outside: Adjacent to our apartment, is the swimming pool which is set within enclosed gardens benefiting from spectacular mountain views and all day sun. Two sun loungers and parasols are available for your use. Bed linen, towels and tea towels are provided.

Great apartment, in great location.

This is a really good, spotlessly clean apartment right in the heart of the beautiful village of Frigliliana. The pool is also really well looked after and was really quiet, even in mid August with some really nice areas of shade provided by the Banana trees. The communication with the owner, Tony, was also really good with responses to all queries within 24 hours. We would definitely recommend this apartment as a great place to holiday in Frigiliana.

Quality as always

Seventh visit to Frigiliana and this apartment. Great location, very clean and tidy, ideal for 3-4 people. The village has character and is very quiet, outside fiesta time, with many fantastic places to eat out, all with amazing views. I'm heading back as soon as I can !

We had a wonderful stay in Frigiliana in March 2017, beautiful and picturesque village with awesome views! Tony & Lorene's apartment has everything you need, and is the perfect base for exploring this fantastic village and it's surrounding areas! Definitely coming back!! :)

Marvellous - book it!

This apartment took us by surprise because it's inexpensive yet perfectly situated, has a fantastic pool, is tastefully furnished, very secure and immaculately clean and tidy. It's also just five minutes on foot from the middle of the old town yet we had no problem parking, even in high season.

And although there are no mountain views from the apartment itself and the double bedroom is admittedly tiny (so there's no room for a bedside table on either side or the bed), it's a good size for a family of four thanks to the open plan kitchen/living room, and has everything you need for a week's stay or more.

The best part is that it's on the ground floor, looking out at the huge pool and gardens (from which there ARE views), so we could keep an eye on our children (9 and 12 at the time) while they were splashing around - if we weren't in there with them!

Conversely, we felt safe sitting by the pool ourselves with a beer or coffee while they had a siesta in the afternoons, in preparation for an evening out in beautiful Frigiliana - it took seconds to check on them or they could call to us from the window. Bear in mind that many apartments in this village are on huge complexes several minutes' away from their pools or on high floors. We were so pleased that we chose this one.

Don't be worried about the lack of air conditioning. We were, but Tony explained that the mobile turbo fan would be really effective and he was right, even though the temperature was in the 40s all week. Actually we found that the flat being warmish helped us to acclimatise because we weren't stepping outside to the heat from an artificially chilly apartment. None of us found it a problem.

However there are quite a few stairs to reach the apartment from the road or to get into the village, so it's probably not suitable for those with walking difficulties.

I definitely recommend it. It's not luxurious or grand but it's extremely comfortable and well looked after, the price/value ratio is exceptional and Frigiliana's the most beautiful village we visited in this region by some margin, minutes from Nerja and its beach and an easy day trip to Granada and the Sierra Nevada by car.

Don't hesitate - it's a bargain so book it before someone else does!

The coast is a 10 minute drive away. Burriana beach at Nerja and Torrox Costa being only 15 minutes away.


Local airport is Malaga, approx 45 mins away. Taxis available from Malaga airport. Regular bus service also from Frigiliana and Nerja. Malaga is well serviced by the cheap airlines ~ Easyjet.com ~ Ryanair and Jet 2. Watch out for their offers, flights can be purchased for as little as £65 return ~ inclusive of airport taxes.


Nerja and the Balcon de Europa only 10 minutes away.

Nerja Caves - 10 minutes away. Almijara National Park - 10 minutes. Granada - 90 minutes. Go-Karting at Torre de Mar -15 minutes away. Bowling Alley at Velez Malaga - 15 minutes away.

Further Details:

The village has a wide selection of fine restaurants and bars hiding away that you must seek out. You will find ample tiny shops in which to buy local handicrafts which include fine basket ware, linen and lace as well as beautiful ceramic ware.

Frigiliana is an excellent base for walkers with easy short and circular walks in and around the village. There is a market on Thursday mornings, three banks, a chemist, and a tourist information office. Further a field, activities include guided walks, water park at Velez Malaga, scuba diving at Burriana beach, and a large shopping complex also in Velez Malaga.

For those of you who like to keep fit during your holiday there is a very well equipped modern gym which is only a two minute walk from the apartment.
