Ground Floor Apartment in Fowey, Cornwall - Beautiful Location, 3 Minutes to Nearest Sandy Beac

Beautifully decorated ground floor, spacious 3 bedroom, 2 bathroom flat in a classic Victorian house. Situated in an outstanding position close to the harbour entrance and boasting magnificent views. Come for Regatta week (august 11th) and have front row seats for the amazing RED ARROWS - which according to press will be back on this summer but focused on the harbour mouth area which is right outside our window!!

The flat benefits from a front terrace, rear garden, private parking and free wifi, docking station and freesat.

Large open plan sitting room and kitchen with plenty of seating and wonderful window seat overlooking estuary. 3 Bedrooms, 2 double, 1 twin. 1 Bathroom, with bath, basin and WC, 1 shower room with large enclosure, basin and WC.

Sorry No Pets allowed.

Check in 4pm on arrival day.

About Alison

We have been visiting Fowey for over 40 years as a family and love it, my parents bought the property in 1973 and over the years we have had fantastic holidays, from very small- sailing our little toy boats in the tidal sea pool by the ferry steps, to great teenager nights out on the town quay during Regatta week, sampling the odd glass of scrumpy. Now we have gone full circle and our children are enjoying the boat sailing, rock pooling and picnics on the local beaches.

We still enjoy our nights out too - but tend to lay off the scrumpy and stick to a good bottle of wine. I have never tired of the fantastic views over the harbour, across to Polruan and out to sea.

Alison purchased this apartment in 1973

Why Alison chose Fowey

My parents bought it (that's handy!) in 1973.

It has the most amazing position, with no other houses between us and the sea. The children love it as it is so close to Ready Money Beach, and for us its any easy walk to town and there's no hiking up to the car park every day to pay and display as we have a free space right below.

Even during the busy summer months we are not overlooked as the property is above road level. Its got the most fantastic terrace facing directly to the water which has the ever changing views of the sea, boats and across to Polruan.

What makes this apartment unique

Fantastic unhindered views, Parking space. Terrace overlooking the harbour and out to sea. Fowey still has that picturesque Fishing village feel to it, beautiful little streets with some fantastic restaurants and pubs. The children can go crabbing off the Albert Quay, play on the nearby beaches and everyone can enjoy the beautiful coastal walks.

For the golfers - plenty of great courses nearby.

Notes on accommodation: The flat is on one level, although there are 3 internal steps to reach two of the bedrooms and both bathrooms. Externally the property is set above the road and car park level, access is up two flights of steps - 1 to get to a private drive shared by all houses in the terrace (this can be driven up and reversed back down), the other steps to the level of the house, both have approx 10 steps. The back garden is again up a flight of steps and has split level. Railings and gate have been fitted for safety. Children on the front terrace need to be supervised at all times. The property has night storage heating. Outside: Front terrace, with direct views of the sea and harbour. Back garden which gets the evening sun and has use of dining table and BBQ. Now fully enclosed with railings and gate so can be shut when small children are using it (for safety). Small children would need supervision in both gardens. Cleaning / Towels / Linen / Maid service: Pillows, duvets, bed linen, hand towels, tea towels are provided. Bath and beach towels are excluded. There is no telephone for use but there is free wireless broadband access.

Unfortunately being right on the coast the damp sea air is a problem we try to overcome with double lined walls and the dehumidifier but it would seem this has not been successful from your point of view so apologies for this. Thoroughly enjoyed several family stays here over many years. Apartment in unbeatable position, excellent views of estuary, cliffs, shoreline & village of Polruan opposite. Private parking v. convenient. Large terraces, front & rear. Short walk into attractive, interesting Fowey centre & to Polruan ferry; 5 minutes walk in other direction to small beach. Spacious lounge/diner/kitchen, 3 good sized dble bedrooms, 2 bath/shower rooms. V. well equipped & nicely furnished throughout. Lovely walks from the door, around the estuary, on the cliff path etc. Lots to visit nearby. Extensive views - from town harbour area right out to the open sea.

Great apartment, great location, stunning views.

We had a fabulous week in this lovely spacious and well equipped apartment. We didn't venture far but then there was no need with everything on the doorstep and the wonderful view from the window, we just totally relaxed and wasted hours watching the boats of all shapes and sizes coming and going. We would highly recommend this lovely apartment as a perfect holiday base in Fowey.

Wow what a view!

Arrived here today & were very impressed with this apartment. A short walk out of the main town area but comes with parking which is a real bonus. But the absolute main bonus is the view. Fabulous. 180 degree view across the estuary & out to sea.

Apartment is very spacious. Lovely decoration. Very clean & nicely presented. Lots of home comforts, great storage space & very reasonable price for what you get. Milk biscuits tea & coffee left for our arrival. Very thoughtful. Highly recommended.

£200 deposit on booking, full payment 6 weeks before holiday. Payment to be made by cheque or bank transfer unless very last minute booking where cash will need to be given to manager on arrival, or direct bank transfer.

Changeover Day:
Peak season available Friday to Friday. Occupation cannot be taken before 4pm on arrival. Departure by 10am.
Low season, Sat - Sat. Some long weekends available during low season.

Prices shown are for the property per week (Friday to Friday) from late March in till late Sept, (others sat to sat) in UK Pounds. Prices are inclusive of all services and linen and hand towels, bath and beach towels excluded. If you are interested in off season long weekends this can often be arranged please contact me.
