Hi our names are Joe and Cath and we have been managing holiday lettings in Spain since 2002. We have a local on site manager who takes care of the day to day running of the villas for us. This gives our guests great peace of mind, who feel reassured they have someone at hand who speaks spanish, english etc.

We had a great week in Spain.Villa Rocio 1 was superb.It was even better than we expected.There were 12 adults in our group and we had plenty of space both inside and outside the Villa.It is maintained to a very high standard and was very well equiped.The fact that it was in walking distance to the beach,bars & restaurants was a huge bonus.Alina was very friendly and helpful and her english was reasonably good.We did trips to Nerja,Gibraltar and went up the mountains on a few occasions.Getting about was easy with the motorway network and the scenery was fantastic.Benajarfe is beautiful.The restaurants were very good and great value.The staff were friendly and we were welcomed as if we were regular customers. Already some of our group are suggestion that we return to Rocio 1 next year. Regards E Keogh

We bought Villa Rocio 1 because of its close proximity to the airport(35 mins) and beach which is only 200 meters away from the house. We also wanted to get away from the over developed and over congested concrete jungles to the west of Malaga where its difficult to move easily from one place to another in summer. In contrast we liked the quiet and peaceful location of Benerjarafe, which is situated within a popular and traditional Andalusian fishing village. We wanted a house which was easy to get to and from, but was also sufficiently well located for our guests to get everything they needed within walking distance ie banks and cash points, a good selection of reasonably priced restaurants and bars, a range of supermarkets, good beach facilities, and an excellent local bakery etc.

The villa is ideally situated in a quiet 'second line' position only 200 meters from the local blue flag beach and promenade. The beach stretches for 10 km to both the east and west with a range of excellent sea food restaurants and local tapas bars.


The villa is 35 minutes drive from Malaga airport and is easy to access via the motoway and N340 coast road. The village is also well serviced by local bus routes to Malaga and Marbella to the West and most major towns to the east. Use of a car is recommended but not essential.


There are many of places of interest within easy reach of the villa incl. Malaga, Marbella , Puerto Banus (20-40km) and Gibralta to the west and the Caves of Nerja and many traditional 'white' villages (20-30km) to the east including the city of Grenada to the North east (120km) . There are several shopping malls and excellent entertainment complexes only 5-10 km away. Inland there is the beautiful Lake Vinuela and great opportunities for walking, climbing and cycling. To the west is the historical town of Malaga with its Cathedral, Botantical Gardens and designer shops and a number of popular coastal resorts, including Marbella.

Further Details:

The traditional seaside village of Benajarafe has a range of good local facilities including excellent seafood restaurants, tapas bars, supermarkets, bank, wonderful bakery, newspaper shops etc which are only within a few minutes walk of the villa.
