Hi our names are Joe and Cath and we have been managing holiday lettings in Spain since 2002. We have a local on site manager who takes care of the day to day running of the villas for us. This gives our guests great peace of mind, who feel reassured they have someone at hand who speaks spanish, english etc.

We now have an established clientele who come back to us year after year. What our guests seem to like about our villas are: the cleanliness of the accommodation and pools, the very close proximity of the villas to the beach and the local airport, their convenient access to local restaurants, bars, a bank, supermarket and pharmacy, our secure parking arrangements, the spaciousness of our villas, their family orientation and quiet, realaxing and peaceful location.

Why c twine chose Axarquia (Costa del Sol)

We bought Villa Rocio 1 because of its close proximity to the airport(35 mins) and beach which is only 200 meters away from the house. We also wanted to get away from the over developed and over congested concrete jungles to the west of Malaga where its difficult to move easily from one place to another in summer. In contrast we liked the quiet and peaceful location of Benerjarafe, which is situated within a popular and traditional Andalusian fishing village. We wanted a house which was easy to get to and from, but was also sufficiently well located for our guests to get everything they needed within walking distance ie banks and cash points, a good selection of reasonably priced restaurants and bars, a range of supermarkets, good beach facilities, and an excellent local bakery etc.

What makes this villa unique

The main benefits of our villa is its close proximity to the beach (only 200 meters away) and its easy access to and from Malaga airport and other tourist hot spots e.g. Caleta marina (5km), golf courses(2km), large shopping complexes like Eroski in Velez Malaga(5km), Water park near Eroski (5km) etc. Day trip proximity to Malaga, Marbella, Grenada, Nerja, Gibralta, Mjas, Tariffa. Other benefits include good value (Villa sleeps 12), the private pool, plenty of internal and external space, 3+ bathrooms, the indoor and outdoor alfresco BBQ and dining areas, a huge outside terrace and garden area, secure on site parking, on site Spanish speaking staff, a table tennis table, satellite TV, free wi fi, all mod cons/dishwasher/washing machine, private and quiet location, air con in main lounge plus fans in all rooms, good security on site/own safe etc, disabled access, wet rooms etc.

We had a great week in Spain.Villa Rocio 1 was superb.It was even better than we expected.There were 12 adults in our group and we had plenty of space both inside and outside the Villa.It is maintained to a very high standard and was very well equiped.The fact that it was in walking distance to the beach,bars & restaurants was a huge bonus.Alina was very friendly and helpful and her english was reasonably good.We did trips to Nerja,Gibraltar and went up the mountains on a few occasions.Getting about was easy with the motorway network and the scenery was fantastic.Benajarfe is beautiful.The restaurants were very good and great value.The staff were friendly and we were welcomed as if we were regular customers. Already some of our group are suggestion that we return to Rocio 1 next year. Regards E Keogh

Notes on accommodation: Disabled facilities and equipment available on request. Outside: Very large patio garden with pagoda and fountains overlooking a range of fig, lemon, banana and other citrus trees. In addition the villa has sole use of a large 10m x 5m private pool with a lovely barbeque and sunbathing area. Outside area includes table, 12 chairs, 12 sun loungers. Private parking for 2 cars. Utility Room: Washing machine and separate washing lines. Cleaning / Towels / Linen / Maid service: The villa will be cleaned on arrival and will include all linen and towels. (Guests will need to bring beach towels). An additional premium can be made for additional chamber maid services. A member of staff is available on site most days.

Great location and pretty good overall, but some disappointing aspects about the villa and pool

As a group of 8 adults and 4 children the villa was a great size, and the location superb - just a short walk to a clean beach; fantastic little cheap supermarket and amazing bakery. Nerja is a great day out as is La Herradura and Malaga, and only a 90 minute drive to the Alhambra in Granada. Figs and oranges growing in the garden...... However, the pool area is not private as described, but it is for the sole use of the villa. The housekeeper and her husband live in the little villa beside the table/oven area by the pool; they had their door open throughout our stay so we could see/hear them most of the day. They pretty much kept to themselves but the husband occasionally walked past which was not what we were expecting. Also, there were no ceiling fans, only some floor standing ones, and in August you need something a bit more efficient. The terrace for the master bedroom was locked and housekeeper had no key. The place was a little tired in places, however, the outdoor space was brilliant, and the gas barbeque and seating area and table tennis table were well used in the evenings.

What a beautiful place!

Coast/Beach:

The villa is ideally situated in a quiet 'second line' position only 200 meters from the local blue flag beach and promenade. The beach stretches for 10 km to both the east and west with a range of excellent sea food restaurants and local tapas bars.

Travel:

The villa is 35 minutes drive from Malaga airport and is easy to access via the motoway and N340 coast road. The village is also well serviced by local bus routes to Malaga and Marbella to the West and most major towns to the east. Use of a car is recommended but not essential.

Distances:

There are many of places of interest within easy reach of the villa incl. Malaga, Marbella , Puerto Banus (20-40km) and Gibralta to the west and the Caves of Nerja and many traditional 'white' villages (20-30km) to the east including the city of Grenada to the North east (120km) . There are several shopping malls and excellent entertainment complexes only 5-10 km away. Inland there is the beautiful Lake Vinuela and great opportunities for walking, climbing and cycling. To the west is the historical town of Malaga with its Cathedral, Botantical Gardens and designer shops and a number of popular coastal resorts, including Marbella.

Further Details:

The traditional seaside village of Benajarafe has a range of good local facilities including excellent seafood restaurants, tapas bars, supermarkets, bank, wonderful bakery, newspaper shops etc which are only within a few minutes walk of the villa.

An initial payment, the deposit of £500 is required to secure the villa. The full villa rental payment is required 2 months prior to the date of using the villa. The deposit is then returned minus any damages after you leave the villa.

Changeover Day:
