Beautiful villa in a beautiful location

This was the 4th time we had stayed at Can Pax. The family have always made us feel so welcome and it was lovely to see Toni and Miguel again. This was the most relaxing holiday. The property as always was clean with all the facilities required. The villa is ideally placed with Pollensa, Cala Sant Vincente and Puerto Pollensa close by. I have recommended this villa to friends and work colleagues.

Wonderful stay in a beautiful villa

We have just returned from Can Pax after a blissful 2 week stay and I had to write a review after we had such a lovely time. Even before our arrival Toni was so helpful sending all of the information that we needed and helping us to decide on everything and it was so easy to deal with her. I have had previous experience with other villa owners who take an age to come back to you or give very vague information and Toni was very quick to respond, helpful and thorough which makes all the difference when you are traveling with a 1 year old!

On arrival we were greeted with a beautiful, clean and welcoming villa. Outside is gorgeous, the pool is cleaned every few days and it is a great size and the gardens and terrace are lovely - we particularly loved the lemon, avocado and apricot trees! The owner's father came to tend to his orchard whilst changing towels and cleaning the pool and left fruit for us which was very kind of him, he is a lovely man and you don't even notice he is there when he is working on his garden and orchard.

Inside there are 3 really big bedrooms and 2 big bathrooms and the kitchen is really well equipped for everything. We particularly loved the electric orange squeezer which was used daily :) There is a fantastic BBQ outside also which was used regularly!

Location wise the villa is about a half hour walk to Pollensa and there are a couple of other restaurants about a 20 minute walk in either direction from the villa. There is also a supermarket and a Lidl a short walk away. I would recommend renting a car as there are some beautiful places to drive to - Puerto Pollensa and Port de Soller were highlights for us and Pollensa itself is a gorgeous old Spanish town with a beautiful square. If my boyfriend and I had been on our own we would have walked to Pollensa but with a little one it was best to drive as it was really hot and not the best time to be pushing him round in his buggy but it is definitely walkable as long as you don't mind a bit of a walk. Cala san Vincenc which is about a 10 minute drive away and the closest beach is also a gorgeous little place with a couple of beautiful beaches and lovely places to eat.

Overall we had the most wonderful relaxing 2 weeks and we hope to visit the villa again in the future. Very jealous of whoever is occupying it now!!! :)

Lovely house in a great location

We've stayed at Can Pax many times over the years - stumbled upon it on the OwnersDirect website.....and what a lucky find: a beautiful house, well-priced, in a quiet location away from the main roads, just outside Pollenca (20 mins flat walk to town), 3 good sized bedrooms, large garden & swimming pool - heaven! Toni & his dad who own the villa are so friendly & helpful - I do recommend this house. From David Chadwick, St Ives, Cornwall

Lovely villa in great location

Very nice villa in a super location. Clean and well maintained. Very nice saltwater pool which means you don't get stingy eyes from chlorine. Nice outside kitchen station with BBQ. Not the largest of gardens but big enough for the kids to run around in. TV and wifi weren't working when we arrived but Toni and has father Miguel sorted it for us.

The only downsides I have are the size of the double bed - if you are tall or broad you will probably not have the best night's sleep! (My husband is just under 6ft and his feet hung off the end). Also, no little extras left which make a big difference - things like salt, olive oil, pepper, herbs, coffee. The kind of things that everyone leaves behind after a holiday and would be really handy to have available on arrival.

Hence why 4 stars not 5. Otherwise, couldn't fault the place. Would definitely recommend.

Special interest holidays:

The villa is located on a very interesting area, not only to enjoy the beautiful local beaches, but also, to practice cycling or hiking, as well as for bird watching and many other activities (pleasant walkings around the area, golf courses, etc).

Coast/Beach:

Cala Sant Vicenç is just 3 km away, there you will find two excelent small bays.

Port de Pollensa beach is also 4 km away from the villa, with the wonderful seaside esplanade.

Formentor beach is 10 km away. One of the most beautiful places to visit in Mallorca.

Alcudia is 10 km away. Its wonderfuls large sandy beaches are special attractive to spend a full sunny day.

14 miles across the central plain SE to Can Picafort.

Travel:

The villa is very easy to find. A map will be provided when booking. Airport is 58 km far from our villa. You'll need one hour driving to reach it.

A car is recommended, but not essential. Bus stop is less than 1 mile away. Pollensa is just 1,5 km.

Distances:

1,5 km to Pollensa.

3 km to Cala Sant Vicenç.

4 km to Port de Pollensa.

10 km to Formentor.

10 km to ALcudia.

Further Details:

In the town of Pollensa you may find lovely old roads combined with typical squares where you may find wonderful shops, restaurants and cafes. The main square is situated in the centre of the town, where there is also a large church. Each Sunday there is a market and we may say that it is one of the best on the island of Majorca. On the outskirts of the town you may also find a large supermarket.
