Town House in Los Alcazares, Costa Calida - 5 Minutes Walk to Beach, Lovely Unspoilt Spanish Town.

Our privately owned semi-detached town house is by the beautiful Mar Menor in a garden complex in the midst of open countryside and only five minutes walk from the sea. Completed in March 2002 the house is very light and airy and has a roof top solarium and shares two very large pools in a garden environment. Very near the home you will find several weekly markets and two of the largest shopping and leisure centres in the country with many cinemas, bars, restaurants and all kinds of shops. Try the new shopping complex in Murcia with over 200 outlets - a MUST for shoppers! As everyone knows the Mar Menor is a paradise for sunbathing and water sports which, due to the special climate of this area, can be enjoyed all year round. Free brochure is available.

About the Owner

I am a Hypnotherapist based on the Isle of Wight and purchased the Lola Town House some seven years ago. We fell in love with Los Alcazares and found the Mar Menor to be a delightful area to visit frequently and rent out in between. This keeps us up to date with the property and any necessary repairs or amendments! My family, partner and five children, have all visited the house, and my daughter, Lucy, the co-owner, visits often with her two lovely children, Lee and Freya. In this busy life it is great to take "time out" and as Spain is only a couple of hours away, this is made very simple. We hope that any one visiting will have a lovely time and we will do everything possible to make their holiday memorable, for the right reasons!! Warm wishes, Den.

Location

From the Owner

The property is only just over two hours from London with reasonable flight prices and a regular service. The area is lovely and flat, safe for walking, cycling, taking children, and the Mar Menor, beautiful. The square has an amazing selection of restaurants, as has Los Alcazares, a very Spanish town. There are enough English people there to be sociable but not overwhelming and the Spanish atmosphere is carefully guarded. Home from home, lovely climate, safe and colourful. Both major cities are but twenty minutes drive away, Murcia and Cartagena, well worth a visit. We searched extensively before finding this little gem, hope you can enjoy it, too.

Activity and Interests

Coast/Beach:

We are five minutes walk to the lovely Mar Menor, all the beaches in the area hold the coveted blue flag award. They are cleaned regularly and are a pleasure to behold! Crystal clear water, soft sand and elegantly tiled walk ways link most areas.

Travel:

Murcia airport (At San Javier) is a mere five minutes drive, Alicante about fifty five minutes away by car. We arrange for our visitors to be collected for a nominal charge and can provide hire cars from the airport with an International Company, all fully inclusively insured.

Distances:

You are minutes away from the beach, a large Mercadona supermarket, Los Alcazares town, two markets each week. The ancient cities of Cartagena and Murcia are each twenty minutes drive away and are well worth a visit to experience old Spain. Taxis are cheap and the local bus and train services are well worth the experience.

Further Details:

You can just relax or enjoy water sports, visit the marina, walk or cycle, go horse riding, swim or lounge in one of the lovely waterside tapas bars, soaking up the sun (On average 320 days a year). Play golf, enjoy the many fiestas, swim in the crystal waters as you visit the Island of Periguera, send for our free brochure for more ideas!

  • Booking Notes:
    25% deposit with booking, balance due eight weeks before departure. We can arrange flights and/or car hire and have you met from the airport if required. We will do everything to make your stay memorable and welcome you back hopefully year after year.

    Changeover Day:
    Saturday is preferable but we will be flexible and try to suit your individual needs.

Notes:

  • Notes on accommodation: The whole surrounding area is very flat and great for cycling, walking, the Mar Menor being very suitable for children for extremely safe swimming. British residents look after the house, clean and maintain, and are on call in the immediate vicinity for any queries. Lovely selection of restaurants in this unspoilt part of Southern Spain. Outside: There is availability to two very large pools surrounded by grass and palm trees and kept peacefully under control. There are rules which are supplied with booking to facilitate an enjoyable environment for all. There are loungers on the sun roof and table and chairs on the front patio, most time is spent out doors! Utility Room: Washing machine, hoover, dust pan and brush. Cleaning / Towels / Linen / Maid service: All towels included except beach towels.
