Casa Margarita is a large holiday villa built on a hillside overlooking the sea. This lovely villa is built over 3 floors with 6 bedrooms sleeping up to 12 guests in comfort - and with magnificent sea and inland views. It has its own private pool set in a large terrace with covered barbecue and outside dining area overlooking the bay. Wi-Fi available throughout. Lots of space. 2 kitchens a bar area with stools and plenty of seating. Lots of storage and large bedrooms. Magnificent far reaching views. Lots to do in the area from beach combing and caves to castle ruins and local markets. Aqua parks, Go-Karting, Safari Zoo and great golf courses. Wine Tours and fantastic bars and restaurants.

Costa de Canyamel is an established residential area within minutes of beach and 4 excellent golf courses. Close by a fishing port, hill villages, hidden coves and a large, unspoilt area of national park.

A fantastic villa with a great position well equipped for a perfect holiday.

The photos on the website do not do this fantastic villa justice . It is high up overlooking canyamel bay. The outdoor areas are perfect for sunbathing , eating and you won't want to leave the villa. There are good sized bedrooms with good bathrooms . There are two kitchen areas and it is well equipped with everything you need. You do need a car and it's a long walk up the hill from the beach . The views are amazing . We would definitely book this villa again . It is absolutely perfect for two families. There is no air conditioning but excellent ceiling fans . There is always a pleasant breeze as it is high up. I would strongly recommend this villa for a wonderful family holiday.

The beautiful and ever-changing views from the terrace are just spectacular. The local area has everything a holiday maker could wish for - including 4 excellent golf courses within a 15 minute drive, an active, popular small beach resort with an ATM, supermarket, beach bars, restaurants and tennis courts just minutes away. There is much to do in the area from mountain biking, numerous water sports, lively nightspots, safari zoo, caves and castles. The terrain is varied with coastline, hills with walking trails and small private coves to find and explore.There really is something for everyone!

Casa Margarita overlooks the bay.

The nearest small beach and restaurant is 3-5 min drive.

Canyamel village and resort - with a large sandy beach, water sports, tennis courts, bars, banking and shops and reasonably priced restaurants - is approx. 5 min drive.

Cala Rajada a fishing port (and ferries to Menorca) with a promenade, excellent shopping, nightlife, good bars and restaurants etc - approx 10-15 min drive.

There are many other small and delightful sandy coves and beaches close by.


Palma International airport is approx 50 mins drive.

Car hire is strongly recommended.


Nearest village Canyamel approx. 2.5 miles.

Capdepera and Arta approx 5 miles.

Cala Rajada nightlife and port approx 8 miles.

Arta caves lie just across the bay.

Further Details:

Public tennis courts, bars, restaurants and beach snacks, bank and small supermarkets in Canyamel.

Large supermarkets, hill top castle and weekly market in Capdepera.

Boat hire, diving centre, nightclubs, bars, restaurants, shops, ferries etc in Cala Rajada.

Large weekly market, shopping, hill top cathederal in Arta.

Large areas of Natural parkland and many small coves are close by.

The NE of the island is the most 'unspoilt' coastal area with lots of small almost private coves. The pace of life is gentler and excellent for outdoor pursuits of all kinds.

Four excellent golf courses with very good facilities and public dining in beautiful settings are within a 10 and 20 min drive.

Prices in shops and restaurants are also more reasonable than in most other areas of the island!

  • Notes on accommodation: In summer there are wonderful sea breezes but in addition most bedrooms have ceiling paddle fans. Free standing electric fans are also provided. In the cooler months there is oil fired central heating throughout and an open fireplace. Satellite wi-fi is provided. We also have a large reserve water tank. Owing to the two staircases and the proximity of the pool to the house, we do not recommend Casa Margarita - apart from infants - to children under 5. Outside: Outside at pool level: A large terrace with a private swimming pool. A covered barbecue and outside dining area plus shower. There are sunbeds and parasols with areas of shade at all times of the day should you need it. A traditional built in barbecue and an outdoor fridge are also there for your convenience. Most bedrooms have a balcony/terrace with wide views of the bay and to the mountains beyond. The villa also has a roof top terrace with absolutely amazing views. Utility Room: Washing machine, iron and ironing board. Cleaning / Towels / Linen / Maid service: Weekly cleaning and linen change included in price for bookings of two weeks or more. Towels (but not swimming/beach towels) and bed linen are also provided. Charged extra services can be arranged. Other: 6 Bedrooms: large and comfortable all but one with large fitted wardrobes. All rooms with good sized drawer units. 3 en-suite bathrooms plus one shared shower room with twin basins. All newly refurbished. A highchair and cot for infant included in rental.
