Fully modernised old stone Villa In Hvar Town With Terraces And Sea View

Updated: 11-Aug-2016
Villa Santorini 36 Boze Domancica Hvar Town, Hvar - Stone villa set in the heart of old Hvar town, peaceful location- only 5 min walk to the centre

With the Spanish fort above and the town square below you couldn't be more central. There are numerous coffee bars on the square where you can sit out and watch the boats coming in. Known for its excellent seafood restaurants Hvar has gained a reputation for gourmet eating. There are beautiful beaches on the Pakleni islands which are accessible by a fleet of small ferry boats. The legendary nightlife starts after 11pm and goes on till morning. This is cleverly organised to be either on the islands or in convenient locations at the edge of town so that there is no disturbance to the night time peace of the Old Town.

Villa is fully air conditioned and there is a lovely shady terrace with ancient wine above. You can relax on a sun lounger in the garden surrounded by lemons, oranges and lavender or make you way to one of the many beaches.

You could walk to the main square and relax with a cup of coffee while you watch the world go by. There is a great diving centre nearby and many other activities such as parasailing, sailing, windsurfing or cycling. You can hire a car and drive to explore the island, visit the local wine producers and restaurants in the smaller bays.

Awesome villa, Gordana couldn't have been more helpful with the arrangements. The old terrace with shady vine and sea view was the perfect place to relax and eat in.

Amazing stay in a beautiful villa

  • 5 of 5

After a weeks stay in Villa Santorini with a party of 12, we are counting down the days to our next trip back. An absolutely stunning, spacious, modern and luxurious villa turned our trip to Hvar from an amazing one to the trip of a lifetime! Throughout booking Gordana was extremely helpful and flexible and put us at ease from the first inquiry. When we arrived we were blown away by the villa (don't forget to find the last room, it's separate in the courtyard with a different key- we almost had people doubling up in beds) and its beauty, especially for such a reasonable price! Hvar itself was one of the most beautiful islands I've been to, with great activities, views, food and nightlife and so anyone will have a great trip there, but to make the trip even more special- book Villa Santorini, you won't regret it!

Wonderful house and location

  • 5 of 5

The house was exactly as described although it seemed nicer in person. It was very clean and well-stocked with basic things to make us comfortable upon arrival. There were very clear instructions as to how to access the wifi, use the appliances, etc. It was great working with the owners prior to our arrival as they had transportation suggestions and local contact information and activity suggestions that made for a very memorable vacation. We were a large family so the house provided wonderful space in the kitchen and outside patio to all be together. Yet the rooms were on different levels so we never felt crowded. We traveled a long way (from the west coast of the USA) and it was such a delight to arrive and see the house so comfortable in such a fantastic location. I would love to have the chance to stay there again. Thanks!

From the Owner

An old stone house in the medieval town, with an ultra modern interior. 5 minutes to Hvar town square , 5 mins to the beach

Activity and Interests

Nearest Airport : Split at 40 Kilometres Nearest Barpub : Hvar Town at 200 Metres Nearest Ferry : Hvar Town at 200 Metres Nearest Train : Split at 40 Kilometres Nearest Motorway : Split at 40 Kilometres Nearest Restaurant : Hvar Town at 100 Metres Nearest Beach : Hvar Town at 200 Metres Car: not necessary

There are numerous beaches at the edge of town on the main island with sun loungers. Most people make day trips to the smaller islands where there are beaches with restaurants and swimming in the beautiful, warm, clear adriatic waters. These restaurants on the islands of Palmizana, Stipanska and Zdrilca

prepare freshly caught fish and seafood and serve it with local wine. There are many boats going to the islands during morning and bringing people back early evening.

Split is the nearest airport and there are regular ferries and hydrofoils to Hvar. Gordana can make arrangements for you with a taxi driver in Split who can pick you up from the airport and get you boat tickets for Hvar. Alternatively we can organize a speed boat to pick you up and bring you straight to Hvar, it takes and hour. A car is not necessary but the island is 70 kms long and there are many interesting places to go if you have or rent one.

All restaurants ,shops, beaches and the main square are only a 5 minute walk

from the villa.

Further Details:

Hvar was a Venetian port and has the oldest people's theatre in Europe above the beautiful boat house. There are 2 monasteries one of which has a stunning courtyard where outdoor concerts are organised all through the summer. There is a huge variety of cloths and jewellery shops as well as outstanding restaurants, bars and coffee shops. There is a good local supermarket and green market with local produce. You could take a day sailing trip with a local company or go diving, exploring nearby islands or cycling.
