About Roger or Elizabeth
As ex Hotelier's from bonnie Scotland your hosts Roger & Elizabeth are here to ensure you get the most from your well deserved holiday. We will cook for you if required and also have added Paella cooking lesson or for something completely different why not try a Whisky Masterclass.
Our rural hideaway is also close to the main motorway arteries of Andalucia with each being some 20km. After many years here in Andalucia we have generated many leaflets from all of the interesting sites that abound.
Roger or Elizabeth purchased this apartment in 2007
Why Roger or Elizabeth chose Antequera (Costa del Sol)
We did not wish to be on the coast and required a small business prior to our retirements that was located in what we know as the real Spain, although away from the big cities we are located within an easy distance of Malaga, Granada, Cordoba, Antequera and Iznajar. The Scottish enclave of Teba where the heart of Robert the Bruce is buried is a short drive away, our village has some sort of ad hoc celebration on a fairly regular basis. Although La Parrilla is quire rural there is great access to the main motorways of Andalucia for the cultural cities of Cordoba, Malaga, Granada, Seville, Antequera and the pueblo blancos that Andalucia is famous for.
Become part of the village and meet some interesting characters. Welcome to La Parrilla.
This is the world capital for the production af the very best Extra Virgin Olive Oil.

Beautiful location, lovely hosts and stunning veiw
Stayed in La Casita which was just ideal for my wife and I. Rodger and Elizabeth are a lovely couple and were only to pleased to help us if we needed advice. Pool area and gardens are well kept and such a nice place to relax. Local tapa bars are only a ten minute stroll away and the locals are so friendly. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay.
Fantastic accomodation, friendly hosts and a breath-taking view!
Our hosts Roger and Elizabeth made us feel very welcome as they are a lovely couple and extremely friendly. When we arrived in Spain, it was late at night, despite this, Roger stayed awake, ready to greet us with a happy smile. Lovingly, Roger and Elizabeth upgraded us into casa límon, moreover we are very thankful. Casa Límon is a two floor two bedroom house, complete with access to Wi-Fi, English television and games. The living room is very cosy and warm, with two sofas, the lounge can fit all the family. The kitchen holds all the supplies and utensils we needed – and more. The fridge was freshly stocked up with groceries such as: eggs, milk, juice and even beer and wine. The cupboards were loaded with tea, coffee, water and much more. The classic spiral staircase near the kitchen leads up to the master bedroom, bathroom and the one children's bedroom which has two twin beds. The master bedroom has a calm and tone to it as the room was neatly presented. Also the Children's bedroom has a lovely floral theme, suitable for girls. Both bedrooms are equipped with a hairdryer and the plenty of wardrobe space. The bathroom has a shower, bath and sink. Further more, towels, tissues, washing equipment and a medical kit is provided. Leading out of the door on the second floor is a patio, with chairs and a coffee table, suitable for family bonding times. Additionally, one of the many great features of Casa límon is the private swimming pool at the back, open 24/7. When we wanted to enjoy the hot weather at dinner time, we were able to open the outside table and comfortably eat.
The view from the house is absolutley stunning, endless olive groves surround the roads, making the sunset and sunrise even more beautiful than it already is.Also, the attractions and activities are just a kne hour drive away. One of the nights, Roger made us delicious, traditional paella, which we paid little for him to do. He let us observe his cooking and learn from him which was very interesting.
Finally, I would like to say a massive thank you to Roger and Elizabeth for making our stay so wonderful and for the love and hospitality. They are such outgoing and delightful people. I would highly recommend staying at Casa Límon or any accommodation of Roger and Elizabeth's to anyone as it is affordable and genuinely astonishing.
Beautiful spot, great hosts
Hosts Roger and Elizabeth provide two self-contained rental properties adjacent to their home in beautiful hillside a few miles south of Lake Iznajar. We stayed in La Casita which has a bedroom and a kitchen/lounge/dining room that can also be used as an extra bedroom. It has its own spacious private terrace facing south across the olive groves and receiving full sun. La Casita had everything we needed - shower, four-ring hob, combi-microwave/grill, some UK TV channels and a very strong internet connection. Roger and Elizabeth are excellent hosts, helpful and friendly, happy to chat if you want to chat or to leave you to your peaceful contemplation of the idyllic surroundings as you prefer. Birders will be delighted to find an abundance of azure-winged magpies right outside the door. It was too cold to swim in the first week of April but the attractive pool in the well-tended garden will be very enticing to summer guests.
