Fully tiled bathroom. Bath with shower, wc, wash hand basin, window. Heated towel rail for cooler seasons. Extractor fan.

Fitted kitchen area (to one need of Living room) moroccan style units, equipped with microwave, 4 ring gas hob, fridge with freezer section, toaster, kettle and all necessary utensils, crockery and equipment.

Living room with kitchen area to one end. Sofa, chairs, table, Sky satellite TV (free to air channels), DVD stereo CD/radio, dining table & chairs, front door to patio, spiral staircase to first floor. Outside steps also lead to first floor & terrace.

1 lower patio with gas barbecue table with parasol & directors chairs. Upper patio with table and chairs sheltered from the direct sun.

Casa Limon

Casa Limon is a recently converted cottage adjoining our own Cortijo (with own private entrance + terrace) situated in a delightful rural setting with beautiful views over surrounding olive clad hills, with the tiny village of La Parrilla lying in the valley below. Nearby is the historic town of Iznajar with ancient Moorish castle high on a rocky outcrop overlooking its breathtaking 32km lake known as The Lake of Andalucia surrounded by hills and mountains. The charming town of Antequera with many buildings of architectural interest and the nearby stunning El Torcal parque natural lie approx. 30/40 mins away. For those interested in outdoor leisure pursuits, the Lake offers excellent fishing, birdwatching and watersports such as swimming, sailing, canoeing & pedaloes from its beach in the summer whilst this is the perfect walking & mountain biking country. Ideally situated for exploring the Andalucian cities of Granada, Cordoba & Seville. 18 hole Golf course 30 mins.

About Roger or Elizabeth

As ex Hotelier's from bonnie Scotland your hosts Roger & Elizabeth are here to ensure you get the most from your well deserved holiday. We will cook for you if required and also have added Paella cooking lesson or for something completely different why not try a Whisky Masterclass.

Our rural hideaway is also close to the main motorway arteries of Andalucia with each being some 20km. After many years here in Andalucia we have generated many leaflets from all of the interesting sites that abound.

Why Roger or Elizabeth chose Antequera (Costa del Sol)

We did not wish to be on the coast and required a small business prior to our retirements that was located in what we know as the real Spain, although away from the big cities we are located within an easy distance of Malaga, Granada, Cordoba, Antequera and Iznajar. The Scottish enclave of Teba where the heart of Robert the Bruce is buried is a short drive away, our village has some sort of ad hoc celebration on a fairly regular basis. Although La Parrilla is quire rural there is great access to the main motorways of Andalucia for the cultural cities of Cordoba, Malaga, Granada, Seville, Antequera and the pueblo blancos that Andalucia is famous for.

This is the world capital for the production af the very best Extra Virgin Olive Oil.

What makes this cottage unique

Located some 650 metres above sea level we have provided central heating for the few cooler months along with electric blankets for that cosy feeling.

No need for a 4 x 4 as all roads are covered.

From November through to March we can arrange tours of the Olive Oil refinery an unusual visit but one that will stay with you.

A formal translator is available at an extra cost although Roger has made several tours and can translate a little.

Try our cooking class for Paella in the old style not the tourist method.

Peace and relaxation within an area of Olive Groves and in a national park area, great walking with fresh air and no pollution from either cars or factories

August 2007 We came hoping for a week of relaxation to get away from it all and we were thrilled to have found La Casita A lovely apartment with fantastic views We did the Whisky tasting for fun, (as we really didn't like it, but guess what, we are now converted) highly recommended, as are the meals cooked by Roger & Elizabeth, traditional Spanish but with fantastic presentation and lots of taste. We do thank you both for helping us have a fantastic holiday.

Notes on accommodation: Highchair and cot available upon request (subject to small charge). Central heating is supplied via radiators and for cool periods, mobile elecric heaters for winter lets if needed to boost central heating. Electric blankets are also included. Casa Limon has Ceiling fans in both bedrooms. Although Casa Limon adjoins our Cortijo it enjoys a good deal of privacy with its own private entrance and terraces. Rental is inclusive of gas and electricity and an essentials welcome pack is provided on arrival. We also offer Sunday Brunch served on the Cortijo patio or inside the Cortijo should the weather not permit al fresco dining. Please advise when booking should you wish to partake of brunch, we also cater for guests in the Spanish style. Outside: Casa Limon has access from the first floor to a private sun terraces where you can sunbathe or enjoy the shade under the olive trees in the owners olive grove. Table, chairs, sun loungers and sun parasols included. There is also an enclosed terrace to the front again supplied with chairs, table and parasol as well as a gas BBQ. A short distance away from the property is the 8x4m swimming pool with Roman steps to one end & tiled terrace set in the olive grove from where lovely open views can be enjoyed. The pool is normally available April-October inclusive or longer subject to weather. Pool terrace lighting for evening swims. Sun loungers, chairs, tables, large bamboo pergola for shade and parasols supplied.

Compact, clean and comfortable accommodation in a stunning part of Spain.

We love Andalucia and spent a number of summer holidays there. This year we had a lovely, relaxing holiday in this beauitiful, unspoilt part of Spain. Roger and Elizabeth were perfect hosts; they were available if we needed them but they also left us to our own devices, so we had privacy, peace and quiet. The little Casa was compact but very comfortable. It had all the essentials and was immaculately clean. We made good use of the covered terrace and also very much enjoyed the lovely pool. We really appreciated that Roger was conscious of the environment and that he kept the pool covered when not in use. That maintained the water temperature, and also helped to keep the water clean and reduced the need for chemicals. We tried both of the village bars, where we had delicious tapas and beer, and the locals were friendly and welcoming. The surrounding area is spectacular and we visited Iznajar and Antiquera as well as a number of other, smaller towns, each of which had its own character. Highly recommended.
