Towel rail heather in one of the bathrooms. The apartment is located on the top floor (2nd) of a building with no lift. Extra bed will be charged at 10% of the daily rate. A baby travel cot can be supplied free of charge but no linen or bath towel supplied for baby. Utility Room: Clothes washing machine located in 2nd bathroom. Cleaning / Towels / Linen / Maid service: Towels and linen included - please bring your own beach/pool towels. Change of linen and cleaning once per week. Other: Attractive private entrance patio with hand painted decorative tiles.

Excellent holiday apartment, great location

We had a wonderful stay in Helena's apartment. She provided excellent, prompt communication before the trip and this made for an easy, relaxing holiday. We found the apartment clean, spacious and with every convenience to make our stay comfortable and enjoyable. (I have to mention the drying area for the wet costumes and towels at the end of the day was especially convenient).

Our kids (9 and 6 years ) were thrilled with the pool, made friends with the other children and we were very happy with how accessible the property was to the shops, restaurants and the beach.

We had endless sunshine and enjoyed day trips out on a Catamaran and to Splash and Slide.

As a family we always like to try new places to visit, but I can see the appeal of why families would return and would definitely recommend the property and Alvor to others.

Great Apartment

Just returned from a great 10 days in Alvor. The apartment is clean spacious and in an ideal location being within walking distance of the beach and bars and restaurants. The bus stop is just outside so we didn't bother with car hire and we were able to get around. The pool was just a very short distance away and very quiet. All in all we would recommend the apartment without hesitation.

Several excellent beaches close by. Alvor beach is 800m in front of apartment (10min walk) which is very safe for children, has various beach restaurants and facilities. Sailing, fishing and diving are local activities and can be booked in Alvor harbour promenade.


Faro airport is an easy 45 minute drive away, mainly motorway. Car rental is advisable but not essential. Good taxi and public transport services available. The Alvor / Portimão-Praia da Rocha buses run every 10 minutes and stop next to the apartment.


Alvor village about 600m distance. Portimão approximately 4km. and Praia da Rocha (well known resort with beaches, casino, marina etc.) about 5km. Within 30 minutes, you reach Lagos, Monchique, Silves and several other places of interest. Lisbon is 2h30m distant by car and there is a very good bus or train connection for a one or two days trip.

Further Details:

Alvor is an attractive fishing village with many restaurants, banks, chemists, a daily market, supermarkets, newspaper and souvenir shops. Down by the harbour there is an elegant promenade where several boat trips are available. There you can find several restaurants serving fresh grilled fish as well as more sophisticated ones for a special night dinner! A short evening stroll for a pleasant night time atmosphere! The Zoo Marine, where you will be able to swim with dolphins and two Water Parks are a short drive from Alvor and children will enjoy a great day of thrills leaving the parents to relax a little.

Only 20 Km away are the mountains of Monchique with its spa and thermal water, where you can enjoy a fantastic view in a cooler mountain climate while enjoying the famous piri-piri grilled chicken or regional almond cakes! Silves and Lagos are two other towns worth visiting and a short drive away. In case of an emergency, there is a 24hours service private hospital right next to the apartment.
