Farmhouse in Colmenar, Andalucia - Peaceful Location, Easy Reach Of Many Of Andalucia's Attractions

Casa Carrasco is a haven of peace and tranquillity, located approximately 6 km from the authentic small Spanish town of Colmenar and an easy drive from Malaga airport. Once a typical working farmhouse, we have fully restored Casa Carrasco, retaining many of its original features. The detached house is fully equipped inside and outside, and has south facing terraces leading down to a private swimming pool set amongst olive and almond covered hillsides. The house lies at the end of a good unsurfaced track of approximately 2 km at the head of a valley looking south towards the mountains backing Malaga. The nearby small town of Colmenar is an authentic working Andalucian town with a surprising number of shops, bars and restaurants. Within easy striking distance are the cities of Malaga, Granada, Cordoba and Antequera. The coast is a short drive away, as are other traditional white towns. Also nearby are the Montes de Malaga and El Torcal National Parks.

About Ralph Gaines

We moved to Spain from London 11 years ago after a long love affair with Andalucia. Having already restored one farmhouse (where we now live) we discovered Casa Carrasco, another farmhouse once abandoned and set about a two-year restoration to turn it into a perfect Andalucian retreat for people to enjoy the real Spain.

We love living here with the mix of rural living combined with easy access to fascinating white-washed villages and cultural highlights of Malaga, Cordoba and Granada. Our aim is to provide a great place for people to relax and unwind in total peace and seclusion. If you can drag yourself away from Casa Carrasco and need ideas of what to do, where to go and how to get there easily, we are happy to help.
