Apartment in Central Vilamoura, Algarve - Centrally Located, Quiet Position, 2 Mins Stroll To Marina With Shops, Bars And Restaurant

Edificio Porto Marina. Spacious second floor apartment in residential block, close to all amenities in the popular resort of Vilamoura. The property is equipped to the highest standard, with modern kitchen and bathroom. Two minutes to the marina, 10 minute walk to either of Vilamoura's two beaches. Mini golf and post office just across the road. Two well stocked supermarkets are a 5/6 minute walk away. Ample free car parking at the front of the building.

About Neil

Apartment owned jointly by Sue and Neil Collinson from Leicestershire, UK. Both now retired, Neil was in financial services and still does bookkeeping for a few people on a regular basis. Sue retired from teaching in August 2008 which means we are not restricted to school holidays any more when we decide we need some sun. We have 2 children who are both grown up and have left the nest.

Neil purchased this apartment in 2002

Why Neil chose Loule region

We originally holidayed here in summer 2002, our first visit to Portugal. We loved its location, atmosphere, people and facilities. It is right in the centre of the Algarve and only a 20-25 minute drive from the airport. We returned in October that year to earnestly look for an apartment somewhere close to the marina which would be rentable, yet provide us with a bolthole. Having looked at a few we found this one which had only just come on to the market and never regretted it.

What makes this apartment unique

2 minutes to the marina (no taxi fares.) Swimming pool on-site. 6 golf courses close by. 2 superb beaches within 10 minutes. Quarteira fish and veg. market a real bonus and 2 supermarche’s very close by. We have and will continue to improve the facilities within the apartment to make it a home from home for anyone who stays here.

Well maintained property in a good location

Fantastic beaches in a good location near Marina. The apartment is well maintained, clean and well stocked with a number of extras to make your stay comfortable. We did find things a bit quiet so unless you enjoy golf it is probably not the best time of year to visit here.

Lovely apartment in great location

The apartment was lovely and clean on arrival. All the information sent through prior to our arrival was really useful and Neil had helped us with our taxi transfer. It is very well equipped accommodation and everything was in good working order. The close proximity to the marina was fantastic. We had a great stay and look forward to coming back soon!

Home from home close to the marina

We have now stayed several times at Neil and Sue's lovely apartment and have just returned from a wonderfully relaxing week long break.

The apartment which is ideal for couples really is a home from home, nicely decorated and kept in a spotless and tidy condition

The apartment is also ideally located...just a five minute stroll to the marina where there is a wide choice of bars and restaurants and is also the ideal place to watch the world go by. We also had the pool virtually to ourselves.

There is also a Jafers supermarket nearby for all those essentials.

Neil and Sue make the whole booking process easy and are very helpful. They even booked a local taxi for transfers from and to the airport.

A wonderful apartment in an ideal location, we would highly recommend staying here and will definitely be booking again.

Like most people when they go on holiday, you want to find you apartment is clean, safe and in a good location. Well this apartment ticked all those boxes. On top of that, the owners send you a lovely introduction pack giving details of all the local attractions. The apartment had everything you need for an enjoyable stay. I would highly recommend to anyone and I will most certainly be back.

This apartment is very well cared for and very clean. The facilities were just what we needed.

We had a wonderful two weeks here, returning yesterday. The apartment had everything we needed - exactly what was listed , and is in a great location for the marina near restaurants, bars, shops and two supermarkets. This apartment is obviously well loved by its owners, who provided great customer service throughout. Really helpful info was provided right from the point I signalled my interest - Neil and Sue have clearly tried to think of everything their guests would like to know, and sent out an information pack prior to our holiday. Excellent communication. I would be very happy to recommend to family and friends. The only improvement would be some kind of air conditioning, however this is not a huge problem as there is a lovely breeze that blows through the apartment once the windows are opened. Many thanks for the fantastic communication Neil and Sue. I hope to book again with you in the future.

Fantastic apartment

This apartment is in a great location for exploring Vilamoura and the surrounding areas with the bus stop across the road and the little train stopping on the street too. It is spacious, clean and well equipped, perfect for a self catering holiday. We were very impressed with the equipment and facilities in the apartment, it was like home from home. We would recommend this apartment to anyone wanting a great base to visit Vilamoura and Portugal and will be returning soon.

Neil and Sue provided us with great information prior to our visit and ensured our holiday went with no hiccups.

Outside: Balcony overlooks the garden/swimming pool at the rear of the building, yet is quite private. It has the usual furniture with parasol. The pool area has plenty of shade and a large grassy area. There is a separate child's pool. Cleaning / Towels / Linen / Maid service: Towels and linen are included. Maid service and towel change for 1 week stays Longer stays include a bedding change. Other: The unit in the lounge contains hanging/storage space for guests sleeping in there.
