This pretty villa with an open outlook and a private heated swimming-pool stands high above the unspoilt village of 'Le Val' near Brignoles, the capital of the preserved area called 'La Provence Verte'. Warm and welcoming, it is set in a 4000sq.m. peaceful garden which is attractively terraced with olive and pine trees, lavenders, oleanders. It enjoys panoramic views of the valley below. Although it is close to towns (5km from Brignoles), services and activities and not isolated, it is a true haven of peace and a lovely spot to relax . It is ideally placed to explore Provence which offers great sightseeing and less than 50 minutes drive from the coast (Hyères, Toulon), the Verdon, Aix. The villa, which is newly built in Provencal style and full of character, is equipped with all modern facilities. Thanks to its two kitchens and numerous terraces, it affords total privacy for two families.

Notes on accommodation: The accommodation has been configured so that the villa will comfortably accomodate two families. It is in a very safe environment for children. The house is set off the road and up an easy accessible driveway in a peaceful location. The grounds afford total privacy. The villa is thoroughly cleaned before your arrival and our our pool man takes care of the pool every three days. Outside: The villa is located in a 4000 sq.m. garden attractively terraced with olive and pine trees, lavenders, oleanders, rosemary... There are stunning views of the hillside and the valley below. There is a private heated swimming pool, pool toys, an area for playing boules and badminton, poolhouse, garden shower with hot water, 2 barbecues and private parking space. Utility Room: Washing machine, ironing board, iron, outdoor washing lines. Bed linen and towels are provided. Other: The villa is fully equipped for 8 persons with attractive furniture.

The most beautiful villa

A beautiful villa in a quiet area. The garden had lots of nice seating areas and was adorable.

The kitchens had everything you needed and the hosts were very nice and helpful.

We would gladly return!

Lovely spacious property

A very nice house with plenty of space both inside and out. The gardens and beautiful pool is what makes this property really special. Martine and Jean-Paul are lovely people and are on hand for any help and advice about the area. All in all a lovely place to stay.

This review is being written some 18 months after our family stayed at the Villa in Le Val and yet it stays fresh in our memory as one of the most relaxed holidays we have had. we are a family with 2 boys, then aged 13 and 4 years.

Perfectly positioned to explore the region and with easy access to the AUTOROUTE, the position was secluded and secure. Vast amounts of space and a flexibility of sleeping arrangements made it super value for money considering the price. The garden was good fun with lovely plants and an outside Bali type shower which we used a lot. The pool was clean and perfect for our needs and the adjoining pool room gave us space for games in the shade.

Our hosts were very welcoming and both Martine and her husband were invariably friendly and kindly provided us with everything we needed including great recommendations for local restaurants etc.

We would hope to return in the future if circumstances allow.

Fantastic Villa

What a fantastic place to stay -worth every penny! Martine & Jean-Pierre are wonderful people who make sure that every requirement you may have is catered for. The Villa is amazing, the location idyllic, the region is superb.

We are two families who stayed in the Villa and not once did we get in each others way and the layout is perfect for privacy. We would return in a heartbeat

Further Details:

The property offers a perfect base for exploring Provence and the Cote d'Azur. The Var is the true centre of Provence. It offers beautiful landscapes with mountains and hills covered with vineyards, pine forest, olive groves and lavender fields. There are many medieval hilltop villages nearby and most have a weekly market. You can go fishing at Lac de Carces (13km away). The lac Sainte Croix and the fabulous Gorges du Verdon (the Grand Canyon of Europe) with its many activities including sailing, white water rafting, kayaking, boating and swimming are only 50 minutes drive away. There is a Grande Randonnee along the Verdon and many good walks nearby.

Booking Notes:
There is a deposit of 25% on booking, payable in euros by bank transfer which is non-refundable unless we can relet (refund minus small administrative fee). The balance is payable 4 weeks before the beginning of your holiday. You also have the option to pay in full.

We also ask for a security deposit of 500 euros to cover damage or breakage. This is payable on arrival and will be returned to you less any charges.

Changeover Day:
Rentals run from 4pm Saturday until 10am Saturday; other times are only possible outside of high season and by prior arrangement. You will be greeted on arrival and shown around the house.

Notes on prices:
Prices are for the property per week in euros.
