Acequias is a small village situated about 2 miles from the main road between Granada and the coast. With the Sierra Nevada mountains behind, Orgiva, Las Alpujarras, Granada and the coast all within a 30 minutes drive, and an excellent road network, the village is an ideal base to explore this unspoilt area of Spain. The house has been fully refurbished to a very high standard. The roof terrace is the ideal place to relax and admire the beautiful scenery.

About the Owner

We are a semi retired couple who live in the Lecrin Valley. Our interest in Granada was sparked after visiting the area on holiday.

We bought our first property in Acequias in 2001 as a holiday cottage, but we soon found that the relaxed life style in Spain suited us better than the hectic life in the UK.

In 2003 we made the decision to take early retirement and move to Spain.

We bought another property in Chite which we converted into two holiday apartments and an apartment for ourselves.

We have many interests and have integrated into Spanish village life.

The mountains of the Sierra Nevada are on our doorstep and we take every opportunity we can to explore and walk the footpaths and tracks of this beauitful area.

Town house in quiet village

We spent a peaceful week in this sleepy village, visiting Granada and enjoying walks in the Lecrin Valley. A clever renovation makes use of limited space, where the owner has thought of everything. The house is located up a narrow road which requires parking in the village centre. But if you are here for the walking, don't let that put you off! The views are fantastic from the terrace. The village does not have a shop.

Casa Eras is a village house in Acequias, a quiet, unspoilt village on the edge of the Sierra Nevada Natural park. The area is outstanding for the wide diversity of life that is on the door step. Whether you want the high peaks of the Sierra Nevada or the beaches of the Costa Tropical, the city life of Granada or the villages of the Alpujarra, they are all a short distance away from the Lecrin Valley. We have extensive knowledge of the area and we can help you plan your holiday. There are extensive details of the surrounding area with maps and guides to the Sierras, many we have produced ourselves to help you get the best from your stay at Casa Eras.

Durcal is the nearest town 5km away. Granada and the Alhambra Palace are a 30 minute drive.

Further Details:

The local village of Talara/Lecrin is 3km away and has a good selection of Banks local shops and bars.

The area is ideal for walkers of all abilities, and we offer maps, guides and detailed local knowledge for guests wishing to explore the area.

There is a 10% discount per week for Couples, £20 discount for the second and subsequent weeks.

  • Notes on accommodation: The property is not suitable for children under 12 or the infirm. There is a wood burning stove and electric panel heaters for the cooler winter nights. Hot water is provided by a gas water heater. All fuel is provided. No pets allowed. Outside: The roof terrace is comfortably furnished with reclining chairs and table. Cleaning / Towels / Linen / Maid service: Prices include all linen (except beach towels)and cleaning.
