Casa Boa Sorte is a spacious and beautiful air-conditioned villa nestling in the tranquil hillside of Cerro da Mesquita. The villa has recently undergone an extensive programme of refurbishment for the enjoyment and comfort of our guests. All bedrooms are now ensuite and furniture and furnishings are of a very high standard. Specification includes Super King Vi-Spring mattresses, solid walnut low-end sleigh bed, rosewood and metal bedsteads and under floor heating to all bathrooms. Outside the villa now benefits from a large Kamado Joe BBQ, in addition to the traditional Portuguese BBQ, and rattan outdoor furniture. Bicycles are included in the price for 1 week maximum 6 available for bookings June - September 2017.

The new pool cover ensures that the large roman ended heated salt (slight) water pool maintains the perfect temperature between use. The villa affords total privacy making it an ideal place to spend a family holiday, honeymoon or romantic break and enjoys spectacular uninterrupted and panoramic views across the valley with views out to the sea. Easily accessed from the main road and situated on a made up and lit private lane with off road parking for two cars, Casa Boa Sorte is just a few mins drive or bike ride from the delightful unspoilt town of Sao Bras de Alportel, once the cork capital of Portugal with its restaurants and all the facilities you'd expect to find in a small town including a choice of supermarkets including an Intermarche. Pavement cafe's are a plenty for times when you just want to enjoy a mouth watering cake and coffee and do a bit of people watching. Sao Bras is a favoured destination of some very well known celebrities who have come to relax and enjoy the laid back atmosphere, so you never know who you might be sitting next to, as you widen your eyes and whisper "is that who I think it is" and the answer we can tell you is probably yes. But everyone respects their privacy. Leaving Sao Bras an easy 20 minute drive will take you to Loule, the coast and beaches, golf courses and Faro airport. Tavira and the Spanish border town Ayamonte are also within easy reach and Lisbon is a 2hr drive. With its unique microclimate and sheltered positon, Sao Bras is one of the Algarve's best kept secrets and the location couldn't be more ideal for exploring the best the region and the Algarve has to offer.

About Michael and Donna

Me and my wife are originally from London and like most people living amid the hustle and bustle of busy cities, longed to spend days in more tranquil surroundings. We first holidayed in the Algarve some twenty years ago and it quickly became a favourite place above all other European destinations.

Why Michael and Donna chose Algarve

When we walked in and saw the amazing panoramic views we just looked at each other and knew it was perfect. The unspoilt local town of Sao Bras de Alportel is ideally situated for touring the Algarve and is just fifteen minutes from Loule, twenty five minutes from Faro airport and close to Tavira and the Spanish border. Lisbon is an easy two hour drive.

What makes this villa unique

The villa is truly a home from home.The location is peaceful with breathtaking views over the valleys, yet the town centre is just a couple of minutes down the road. We love eating alfresco on the upper terrace where there is a traditional Portuguese barbecue (or our fantastic Kamado Joe) and then relax with a glass of something chilled under the pergola beside the lemon and orange trees in the garden or then again you could go for a bike ride.

Notes on accommodation: A complimentary bottle of wine is provided to get your holiday off to a good start. If pool heating is required, there is an additional charge of £250 per week. Highly recommended for swimming at night with the pool lights on under the stars. Air-conditioning is included in the advertised price. 6 month rentals available October - March. Full air-con, fogo montanha log fire, wi-fi, Solar Hart (as well as conventional heating facility). Outside: Upper terrace with 8 seater patio table,chairs and traditional Moorish style barbecue. Swing seat. Lower terrace with sun loungers, parasols and large 12m x 5m salt water (latest and safest desalination process which is kind to your skin) swimming pool with pool heating (not overlooked) and pool cover. Extensive and beautifully landscaped private gardens with tranquil seating area under the large pergola, great for whiling away the evening with a drink (Complimentary bottle of wine provided) and watching the sunset with its superb elevated views across the valley. Separate children's play area including swing and slide. The upper terrace looks down onto the lower swimming pool terrace and is separated via a gate with a shoot bolt from the upper to the lower terrace, so young child have no access to the pool. We also have an internal stair gate built in along with baby monitoring devices and a stroller. Pool toys incl. floats,lilos,inflatables,baby bch igloo & bkts & spds. Utility Room: Washing machine, laundry basket, airers, iron and ironing board.beach wind-breaker, beach balls etc. Cleaning / Towels / Linen / Maid service: Maid service once a week. Exceptional property, stunning views, great pool

We were 5 people staying in Casa Boa Sorte for 2 weeks. We can't express well enough how happy we all were in the villa. The owners have certainly put a lot of effort, care, thought and love in the villa and we could feel it in every corner. The pool is a real gem. We couldn’t get out of it during those hot days.

The furnished terrace is the place to be for breakfast and dinner. But be careful! It will make you drink a lot of G&Ts, admiring the views and the sunny sky. The 3 bedrooms with an ensuite each were furnished with taste and great quality.

The owners really cared for us providing all we needed from directions to the property to answering promptly to any inquiry we had.

Stunning and peaceful

Villa Boa Sorte is a wonderful villa, situated up a quiet lane. There are lovely views across the valley towards the sea. The owners Michael and Donna were extremely helpful - helping our holiday go like clockwork! Nothing was a problem to them. The Villa is a credit to them...extremely clean and beautifully decorated. Impressively equipped also. The pool area is ideal and two of the bedrooms open straight out onto it. There are a few good restaurants and a quality supermarket nearby...very handy! I travelled with three friends and we had a brilliant holiday... totally chilled. We cant recommend it enough and certainly wouldn't hesitate in returning. PERFECT...thank you to Michael and Donna (once again) - Angie

Quiet, safe, stunning views, great location.

It's a recently fully refurbished villa with air conditioning and underfloor heating. High standard furniture. High spec kitchen. Bedrooms very comfortable. Lovely bathrooms. South facing pool with wide tiled terrace. The location is very good. Just a couple miles from downtown of Sao Brás it's though a quiet area overlooking the fields with the sea in between the hills. São Brás is a little town with all the amenities and very central. Great restaurants! Just 30 minutes from the coastline and majors golf courses.

Firmly recommend!!!

30% non-refundable deposit and the balance be paid in full, 8 weeks prior to commencement of holiday. There is a £250 (payable with balance) fully refundable damage/breakages deposit after a satisfactory inspection by our villa manager and the return of the keys. Pool heating is charged at £250 per week and Under floor heating, to all bathrooms, at £50 per week(In those cooler months). (Alojamento Licence 12219).

Bike Hire available £10 per day 3 days minimum hire. £50 returnable damage deposit per bike. Includes Helmet, bike locks and puncture repair kit.

Cot available free of charge. Free child car seats available both (booster and full car seat).

Changeover Day:
We are flexible on changeover days. Departure times are 10am on day of departure for clients and arrival is 3pm.(unless otherwise arranged by management).
