The villa consists of 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms, furnished to a high standard and boasts fabulous views of the Atlantic ocean from the lounge and bedroom and even better from the roof terrace. Fully fitted kitchens including washing machine, dishwasher, microwave, oven and hob.Home from home.

About The Owner

Have lived in the Algarve for 11 years, have had 3 children at school here two of them now in Uni back in the UK, have had Vila Vita since new (2001). I still live here full time and love it,i find the Portuguese people very accommodating, always willing to help. I am more than willing to help you with any questions you may have about the Villa or Algarve in general. I receive many repeat bookings so must be doing something right!

Why The Owner chose Carvoeiro / Lagoa region

Quite frankly I loved the location of the villa, I bought it off plan and can honestly say it was a good decision I have many repeat bookings year after year especially long term during the winter months,our Canadian cousins seem to love the place,the villa is one of the closest on site to all the facilities,pools,restaurants,snack bar,kids play park etc.another benefit is that there is a supermarket a couple of hundred metres away selling everything you could need.

What makes this villa unique

I don't stay here I live close by but the benefits I receive is that friends and family can come to see us and stay locally in comfort with such fantastic ocean views stretching literally for miles,the restaurant has possibly the best view in Carvoeiro with the Lighthouse directly in front being the focal point,security wise the area surrounding the pools and children's facilities is fenced off with gate only access.

I'm just back after 2 weeks at this villa. We had 3 young children age 5,4,2 with us. The villa was ideal for all of us. Very good standard and the small garden was a bonus.it was equipped with everything we needed. The pool area is only 200 yards out the door. It's a fabulous pool area of very high standard. And The staff there are as nice as it gets.

It's very relaxing there and the children's pool is fantastic and quite big. The little playground is also ideal.

There was good entertainment in the complex about 3 times a week.

We didn't rent a car and I do feel we could have done with one. You would need one to get to a supermarket and to the beach if you have small children. However we did get by without it.

All in all we had a fantastic holiday.

Basic Apartment - needs redecoration

We have stayed at Golf Clube de Mar three times previously and the place and facilities of the estate and surroundings are wonderful. Unfortunately this villa is not to the standard of others on the estate, although it is also not as expensive to rent. The villa is fairly basic but is immaculately clean. However the decoration is tired and it is clear that the owner needs to get some structural work done as there is some settlement problems on the rear patio where some of it has fallen out of line with the rest of the patio. The paint is peeling on some of the walls. When we arrived the patio doors would not lock and were broken, which we had to get sorted by visiting the Genesis Key office onsite, only to be told that they only provide the cleaners for the property and are not paid to manage it for the owner, which is different to what he said to me via email?!!! However they did kindly arrange for this to be fixed for us at no charge. The gate leading to the roof cannot be locked due to a rust problem on the gate locl meaning that anyone can walk onto your roof if they like. Also none of bedroom doors open or shut properly and the one in the smaller bedroom we had to leave open as it was too stiff to slide along where it has come off its runners and has not been fixed. The downlighter in the smaller bedroom was also hanging out of the hole in the ceiling and could not be put back in place. There is a TV and Sky Box in the living room, none of which work. Although there is free wifi at the local bar it is so slow that you cannot access anything via the internet on a iphone or ipad. Despite the problems with the general upkeep of the villa we did have a fabulous holiday as we were only really sleeping there. However if you want a higher standard holiday then choose another villa. If you want a cheap holiday in a basic apartment, then this is the place for you!

Booking Notes:
A holding deposit of £100 is required to reserve your booking. This is fully refundable up to 12 weeks prior to your holiday. A security deposit of £100 is required pre-paid for any breakages or damage which shall be fully refunded on your return from holiday, a cheque will be sent to your home address. The balance and full payment is required no more thman 8 weeks prior to your departure date.
Payment can be either by cheque or bank transfer.

Changeover Day:
Usually Thursday or Saturday depending on our bookings,but also flexible where at all possible check in time is 2pm and check out 10am.

Notes on accommodation: The villa is furnished to a high specification including electric roller shutters for those bright sunny mornings. Freeview TV. Dimmer controlled lights in all rooms. Double glazed throughout. Theres a safe for your valuables and a log burning fire for winter nights and oil filled radiator. Outside: A spacious roof terrace with magnificent 180 degree views of the ocean. There is a BBQ and sunbeds. Patio doors lead to spacious sun terraces that look onto beautifully manicured lawns and tropical gardens with the ocean clearly visible . There are 2 communal pools, one for toddlers with showers and sunbathing areas with tropical gardens and magnificent views. Utility Room: Drying area outside, hose. Cleaning / Towels / Linen / Maid service: The cleaners will supply all linen and towels and they will be changed on a weekly basis,long term guests have access to the linen cupboard to use at there leisure.laundry is offered by our cleaners to long term guests payable directly to them if desired. Other: The villa has a large roof terrace which houses several high quality sun loungers, the terrace has stunning views of the ocean and looks directly at the lighthouse.
