Equipped with High Speed Internet and Cable TV. Linens and Full Service Kitchen! Convenient and easy!

Spring, Summer and Fall book up quickly in New Buffalo! Schedule a weekday visit even for a change of “work from home” scenery. It’s quite lovely taking a lunchtime stroll through New Buffalo, maybe stopping in at the lakefront for a peaceful moment. In the Fall / Winter, enjoy kayaking (we come equipped with 2 kayaks!), hikes in Warren Dunes, cross-country skiing, long beautiful winter walks simply downtown are delightful as well!

Restaurants aren’t busy in the spring, winter and fall, and every time you choose to take a small day trip to a different neighboring town near us, there will be a cozy, peaceful vibe - no need to rush and no worries about waiting in lines. Spring, Fall and Winter happen to be our very favorite time in New Buffalo.

Rates are lower in the Spring and Winter months as demand is lower - you will be pleasantly surprised by a cozy getaway to SW Michigan in the off-season or anytime!

New Buffalo Fun

Our stay in New Buffalo was fabulous. The house was clean, organized, and a perfect location. Lori answered any questions we had in a timely fashion. We have already recommended this location to a friend that will be visiting New Buffalo next summer.

The perfect location for a girls getaway!

We had a wonderful time at 222! Everything about our stay was easy and comfortable. The house is close to all the restaurants, shops and beach, but still in a quiet neighborhood. This house also has one of the best porches in the neighborhood for drinking coffee in the morning and catching up with good friends at night!

Close to everything

My spouse and four little ones enjoyed our stay so much! We appreciated that there were 2 adult bikes at the property to use, and our children all brought their own. We could bike to the beach, restaurants, shop, you name it.. so easy. You could also walk, but our children loved that they could bike everywhere. The pool was very close to the house which was perfect. Very cozy neighborhood setting. Everyone we met was very friendly. The house was very comfortable and clean.

Mr. Philip and Mrs. Lori Simon are the owners of this slice of heaven. We live 30 minutes from our Merchant Street Cottage and love spending time here, even if for an evening to get away from the busy lives we lead.

Why they chose this property

We spent many years coming up to New Buffalo and the surrounding area for vacationing in the summers and holidays. We found ourselves coming back to this cottage in particular year after year - perfect fit for a carefree getaway so close to home. When the loving owners and developers of Merchant Street Cottages decided to sell this home to us in fall of 2015, we were absolutely thrilled to make it our own and share it with many others! Enjoy it as if it is your own and please come back again and again!

What makes this property unique

The beach is a short 5-8 minute walk away and offers a beautiful view of the marina along the way. New Buffalo has a quaint feeling about it and even the Amtrak train stop seems to be a backdrop that only adds to the charm of it all. Bike rides to the beach, Stray Dog Bar and Grill and down to the Bentwood Tavern for a happy hour with friends on the rooftop are simply the best! We could go on and on, but hope you'll come and see what all the buzz is about experiencing a getaway to New Buffalo, Michigan!
