Only a short drive from downtown Jackson, Teton Village or Grand Teton National Park, this home will have you centrally located for whatever adventures are on your vacation agenda year-round. This original log cabin provides modest comfort with its giant fireplace, second wood burning stove and pretty, private setting frequented by moose and other local wildlife due to water feature and natural scape in back yard off big deck

Vaulted ceilings and a custom stone-surround wood burning fireplace create an ambiance of elegance and warmth. French doors make for easy access to the rear private decks and a beautifully landscaped yard with a summer water feature and spectacular mountain views. Keep your eyes open for a view of the neighborhood moose, too!
Loft area is closed off by a chain and marked as Not suitable for Children and attached apartment is also not suitable for young children since it is detached.

RENTER BEWARE

We have rented in Jackson through VRBO multiple times and never had such a fraudulent listing. We felt so unsafe with our two young families - 5 kids under 5 - that we vacated within 24 hours. List of concerns below but there are both safety and inaccurate problems: Safety: * A long floating staircase, not shown in the listing, that did not have railings and fails to meet building code (confirmed with local Wyoming building authority) * Unfinished space with outdoor access that cannot be locked adjacent to the kid's bedroom (terrifying) * carbon monoxide/ smoke detector was broken * baseboard heating was missing the appropriate safety coverings and hot to touch (god speed with littles) Inaccurate listing: * Listing was for 5BR/ 4BA; The house is 4BR/ 3BA. There is a back house hundreds of feet away. * Listing stated one car garage but random other car was in the garage * Neither fireplace worked (both broken with do not use signs) * Toilet in the downstairs bathroom was broken and did not flush * Shower in the downstairs bathroom was dirty with brackish film * Listing states new with wood floors; not new and no wood flooring in the house (pretty funny actually) The location is good but if you can find something else, strongly encourage renters to go that way until improvements are made and safety concerns addressed.

Perfect for larger groups

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: This house was a big hit for the eight of us on our family trip to the Grand Tetons and Yellowstone. Beautiful home, great location, plenty of space, 5 bedrooms, and a huge dining room table worked perfectly for us!!! Like many before us...we were only there less than an hour before we saw a moose in the backyard! Honestly, I am hard-pressed to come up with any negatives. Wouldn’t hesitate to come back next time we are in Jackson.By Guy T. Manchester, CT, US

Family fun in Jackson

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We enjoyed our time together at this unique cabin. There are two spacious living areas that gave our extended family room to visit. The water feature in the back was beautiful and one of the highlights was a moose coming to the water to drink while we were on the back porch. The cabin was clean and furnished with what we needed to relax. We had trouble with the internet connection to the TV; we could only watch in the morning. Our initial arrival was a little problematic because a tree service company had taken all of the parking. That was resolved by the next morning.
