Fantastic stay

Had a wonderful week at Buds amazing home. We were five adults and very comfortably accommodated in 4 ensuite bedrooms. The house is very well appointed with everything you need. Although we did eat out a bit, we loved getting home pouring a glass of wine, preparing a meal and enjoying being together in the open plan living area. It doesn't matter where you are in the house ...you just want to look at the view!! The view is stunning, ever changing, and one you simply never tire of. The outside space has been created to make the most of an incredible panorama, wether you are swimming, hottubbing or relaxing. The pool and tub were spotless. Both were set at the right temperature. I loved an early morning quiet swim everyday and with 'that view' I could just keep doing laps for ever. Bud was quietly attentive from a distance, we knew he was there if we needed anything but he just left us to enjoy our stay. You really feel like The Fels is 'yours' for the short time you are there. I have thought about it every day since we left.....so that says it all really!! Thanks Bud for providing a great home for us to enjoy. We Recommend!! Visiting the CIA for a varied and fun restaurant experience. A tour of FDR's home, it's really interesting...if you have binoculars you can see 'your' house across the water...quite thrilling. Walk the Bridge across the Hudson into Poughkeepsie. Amazing Early evening to dusk have a stroll up the drive to see 6 to 8 deer grazing in the grounds....we saw them everyday. If you are quiet they just ignore you.

We had an absolutely wonderful time at "The Fels." "The Fels" is a stunning property perched on a dramatic curve above the Hudson River. The house is spacious, sun-lite, and well designed for both group activities and privacy. And with a media room, game room, hot tub, seasonal swimming pool, tennis court, and great river overlook decks with a fire pit, you can be as active (or just chill) as you want. We spent 8 nights including Christmas, gathering around the fireplace in the "great room" after sunset cocktails on the deck, and dinner at the large oval table looking out over the river. The kitchen is smallish but well appointed. The house is 10 minutes (or less) from both New Paulz and Poughkeepsie, and just 15 minutes to Kingston for restaurants and shopping. And the owner is helpful and responsive if needed, so we could simply relax and enjoy our special holiday visit.
