Guestbook comments from the manager

My family had an amazing weeks weather last week and enjoyed our stay at Scandale Bridge Cottage, where my wife and I were celebrating our 30th Wedding Anniversary.

Scandale is a lovely house, the position is very good and enabled us to enjoy leisurely strolls into Ambleside as well as climbs up a few of the fells.

We were very grateful that there were ample supplies of coal and we had a roaring fire every evening.

We will definitely be visiting again in the future.

Thank you for a lovely stay.

Great location, facilities. Will revisit!

  • 5 of 5

We had a wonderful time staying here on Christmas. . The cottage was clean and very well equipped. It was a real home from home. Views are lovely. The town of Ambleside has all the shops you need and many good places to eat out. We were never at a loss for something to do and wished we had more time. The cottage has amazing views and was comfortably furnished and well equipped for 3 adults and 2 children. We will definitely be back next year.:)We never forget this wonderful time in this Miraculous house...

Nice house, good location

  • 5 of 5

Two double bedrooms, one single, and a twin. Big lounge and kitchen all located on the outskirts of Ambleside (a nice 10min stroll into town). Stayed here for a week and enjoyed it. The only one negative is the parking. You can park just opposite the house, or in the drive. The drive is extremely narrow though, so its not a case of driving straight in. Its more annoying than anything, and I wouldn't let that put you off.
