A beautiful relaxing place to spend a holiday in Italy
We loved this place.
Sometimes the careful selection of photos can flatter a location, leading to disappointment later. However in this case, this villa is actually every bit as lovely as it looks on the website.
We were given a very warm welcome by Elena who gave us all the advice we needed, and we were immediately delighted by the setting and the villa - both inside and outside.
The villa sits in extensive grounds and is very tranquil, there are so many different places where a family can spread out and relax and then come together to dine and play.
We were a large group of 7, with older children ranging from 16 to 23 in age and there was so much to do whilst staying at the villa. In addition to the generous swimming pool - the pool table, table football and table tennis table all provided extra entertainment.
Our older children made a project of learning how to prepare and cook pizza in the oven and this made for an all around great and very memorable family activity.
(As well as giving us added respect for those in this world that can routinely turn out perfectly even and circular pizzas.)
As stated in previous reviews, it is indeed only a simple one hour drive toRome, and it made a great place to relax after a day sight seeing in the big city. (Although with the villa being so delightful we only went twice.)
The nearby town of Casperia makes for a lovely afternoon or evening out stroll too, and Cantalupo is also worth a quick visit.
We are certainly very pleased we found this place, and we have very good memories.
Although we rarely return to the same place for a holiday, in this case we would really consider it.
