About this property

We, Kor and Nynke, run for 20 years, the traditional restaurant 'Eetcafe de Kalkman' in Wierum.
Our small fishing village with about 350 inhabitants lies lovable directly on the North Sea and is a popular starting point for cycling, boat tours, mudflats and trips to the surrounding picturesque towns and the charming rural landscape of our homeland Frisian.
Due to many requests from our daily visitors we have bought a small but very cozy fisherman's house, which is open all year for a comprehensive renovation and redesign as a holiday house.
Our house can accommodate 2 to 4 people. The sleeping area in. 1 Floor is a new fixed stairs accessible with a romantic double bed and in the rear area with 2 single beds. Bedroom renovated is new !!
Our house is fully furnished and equipped with central heating.
A parking space, a small barbecue area, bicycles, garden chairs, barbecue, etc. is available to our guests free of charge.

We ask our gesture that bring needed linens and towels,

Osterferien 2024

Es war eine perfekte Woche - die Lage des Hauses, das Haus selber waren super. Es war alles genau wie beschrieben und hat unsere Erwartungen mehr als erfüllt! Wir (zwei Erwachsene und unsere 9jährige Tochter+Hund) können das Objekt und die Vermieter und auch ihr Cafe/Restaurant nur empfehlen!!!

Uitwaai weekend

We hebben het heerlijk gehad in dit knusse huisje. Alles was aanwezig en het was netjes en schoon. De eigenaar is ontzettend vriendelijk en behulpzaam. In zijn restaurant kun je heerlijk eten voor een goede prijs.

Süßes Häuschen für entspannten Urlaub

Sehr gut gelegen. Der Ort ist klein und lädt zum Abschalten ein. Das Haus ist sehr sauber gewesen und bot alles was man braucht. Wir haben sehr entspannte und erholsame Tage gehabt!

Klein und gemütlich

Unser Aufenthalt war sehr erholsam. Man kann Ausflüge unternehmen (z.B. Wanderungen, Fahrradtouren, Museen, Stadtbesuche in Leuwarden und Groningen, Tagesausflug nach Schiermonnikoog), man kann aber auch die Ruhe und Abgeschiedenheit des Dorfes genießen. Die Fischerhütte ist wirklich klein, aber alles vorhanden und gemütlich. Lediglich die Betten sind nicht gut, vor allem die zwei Einzelbetten sind so schmal direkt unter der Dachschräge gelegen, dass es für Erwachsene unbequem ist. Der Vermieter ist sehr freundlich und unkompliziert, er betreibt auch das Gasthaus "De Kalkman" in unmittelbarer Nachbarschaft, das wir unbedingt empfehlen (urige Kneipe, deftige Hausmannskost).
