About this property

This Florida cottage is a converted shrimp house. The decor is tropical with tile floors and ceiling fans. This 1 bedroom, 1 bathroom (shower, no tub) air conditioned cottage is well -furnished and sleeps only 2.
The quaint cottage is on Cow Creek overlooking a small bay. Manatees, dolphins and many water fowl frequent the area. Enjoy your coffee from the waterfront seating area. Fishing is available from the attached floating dock. Mullet, jacks, snapper sheephead are in the creek. The creek is tidal and his spring feed, and that attracts the manatees. The manatees go by the cottage daily and it is a short paddle up to the springs where they hang out. If you bring your flats boat, Red fish, snook and trout fishing areas are both north and south. Grouper, grunts, hogfish and cobia are west. Coopers Bait Shop is next door. The Gulf Waters of Hudson are shallow and typically offer protection from high surf conditions, making it ideal for kayaking and canoeing.. There are many artificial and natural reefs for fishing and diving off Hudson . The creek is tidal and it is to shallow at low tide to get a boat out. The boat ramp is less than a mile away and is not constrained by the tide.
Users of kayaks or canoes are responsible for the safety of all those in his or her craft. Operation of the kayak or canoe is solely at the operator's own risk. Paddles and life jackets are provided.

Heaven as always

Our third stay in this beautiful property. So full of character, such wonderful hosts. If our trip has to finish, this is the best way to do it. Last morning spent kayaking to the spring to see manatees. Heaven

Relaxing few days in Hudson

Our second time staying in this property and it was as good as the last time. Chuck and Jarry are great hosts and the property has everything you need ( and more) for a relaxing trip by the water in Hudson.

Tranquil Escape

This is truly a tranquil escape.. the property itself is even better than in the pictures, the bedroom was large and very spacious..It offers more than most rentals with amenities, toiletries, coffee, tea and lots more. The hosts were lovely and offered good recommendations for food/ local area. Being able to use their kayaks was what made our trip.. we will hopefully visit again some day. Loved our stay. Thank you.. 😁

A place we call paradise

We have thoroughly enjoyed our say. We spent many a day on the porch or dock. The cottage is absolutely perfect for 2 people, comfortable and very well kept. Air conditioning is fantastic. We had never used a kayak before this holiday and now we're addicted. The view from the porch is a constantly changing interactive image. We saw several Manatees just off the dock plus numerous types of fish, and surprisingly Sting Ray's. Chuck and Jarry the owners are right next door and were fantastic, showing us how to use the kayaks and they took us out in their lovely boat. Gave us great advice only the locals would know which meant we didn't miss out on anything. Jo and Rick England
