Another fantastic holiday

  • 5 of 5

We have just returned home after another fantastic holiday at villa hibiscus. Nothing has changed and the villa was just as we remember it from last year. Olympia works her magic daily with clean bed linen and towels changed daily along with cleaning the villas until they are spotlessly clean. Diana is such a wonderful host and nothing is too much trouble. The Olive Tree restaurant in Tsilivi is still the best Greek Taverna in town and the food served is outstanding along with great attentive service. We have booked again for 2017 as these villas are amazing and we are so glad that we have discovered them. They are perfect for a peaceful holiday, yet close enough for restaurants, local bakery, beaches and the local small waterpark in Tsilivi. You will not be disappointed if you book one of the villas - they are all lovely. We can't wait to return for another truly enjoyable holiday.

Fantastic Holiday

  • 5 of 5

We stayed in Villa Hibiscus for 2 weeks and it was the best holiday ever. The villa was kept spotlessly clean by Olympia who cleans the villas daily, the bed linen and towels were changed daily as well. She also tends to the gardens and she really cares about this beautiful place. Diana is a wonderful host and visits the villas each day to ensure that all her guests are having a good holiday. She is so helpful and nothing is too much trouble for her. She also owns an excellent Taverna with her husband Lakis called the 'The Olive Tree' in Tsilivi and the food here is outstanding. We ended up eating here a lot and they also give you a 10% discount if you are staying at the villas. We did not hire a care and it is not necessary as everything is on your doorstep. There is a well stocked supermarket, fabulous bakery, butchers and a handful of Taverna's all within walking distance. Diana gave us the number of a local taxi company and we used them a lot. A trip that is a must is Captain Spiros Levante speed boat. It goes fast and you will get wet. He was so good with the children and had them sitting up the front all the time. We went to Turtle Island and it was great to see the turtles. This was a great end to our holiday. I could not fault the accommodation, location etc at all and it was all first class. Everything has been thought of and it was a truly relaxing holiday. I have already booked up for next year as we just cant wait to come back again. The Greek people were all so friendly and we were in no way affected by the Greek crisis - it is business as usual.

Absolutely wonderful

  • 5 of 5

Stayed in Villa Hibiscus for 10 nights with my husband and teenage daughter. Lovely Villa, kept spotlessly clean everyday, beautiful pool. Diana, the owner, visited everyday to check on everyone and organised car hire for us and would assist with anything if she could, local knowledge and recommendations very helpful. Also, Diana and her husband own a local restaurant, The Olive Tree, in Tsilivi, which was welcoming, friendly and served wonderful food.

We cannot praise Diana and all her staff enough - at the villa and at the restaurant - all were warm, friendly and helpful.

If anyone is worried about visiting Greece with the current uncertain situation with the referendum etc, we would say do not worry. The Greek people were their usual welcoming, friendly selves, there was no problem with getting money from ATMs, no problem with food supplies anywhere we visited on the island it was business as usual everywhere.

The Villa more than lived up to all its reviews. It also had many extras like games & books. Diana & Lakis were terrific and Olympia is a gem giving daily service which is very unobtrusive but includes clean bed linen & towels daily.Local butcher, veg shack, bakery, supermarket and filling station met all our needs. Local tavernas Vardioli and Roulis were very good and Psarou a little further away with stunning location and very good menu, however Diana & Lakis,s Olive Tree in Tsilvi was outstanding.

Nothing was too much trouble for Diana. She fixed us up with taxis & car hire.

And I am sorry that I did not get time to hear the full and facinating story about the pool man. I suppose we will need to return - no great hardship

Hard to tear ourselves away

  • 5 of 5

Family of four (2 adults, teenage daughter and her friend). We stayed in Villa hibiscus and were very very happy with it but would have been happy to have stayed in any of the others as they all have their own characters in how they are positioned and detailed. The gardens and pool are lovely and are looked after with care daily. Olympia comes daily to clean the villas and a guy comes each evening to attend to the gardens and pool and they are both friendly and clearly take pride in their job.

5 mins walk in one direction gives you a small supermarket, butcher, baker (candlestick maker) and a taverna that also does lovely freshly made takeaway. 5 mins in the other direction gives you the sea with a couple of tavernas and lovely evening sunsets. A little further up the coast has great beaches and bays but you could be perfectly happy staying put so a car is not essential unless you want to see more of Zante which from what we saw has plenty to offer.

Last but definely not least there is Diana. She is a lovely host, she loves Zante, she designed Olive Tree villas and it shows. She also cares that the people who come to stay have a great holiday. She was fantastic when we arrived, immediately we relaxed and we looked forward to seeing her during our stay which was for a chat pretty much every day.

We loved our time here and it was a genuine escape from hustle and bustle without feeling isolated, it was all we could have hoped for.

Villa Hibiscus

  • 5 of 5

I have just returned from a wonderful stay at Villa Hibiscus. I went there with my husband and 2 children (3 and 1 year olds) and my Mum stayed in the villa next door with my sister, her husband and 2 children (8 and 6 year olds).

The welcome we received from Diana and her team was warm and friendly and the service we received throughout our stay was excellent. There were people in the other 2 villas during part of our stay and the atmosphere on site was always friendly.

There is a selection of well stocked shops within short walking distance providing everything you need and there are some excellent tavernas within walking distance.

The island has plenty to do for young and old and the scenery around the island is spectacular.

I highly recommend a visit to Diana and her villas.

The gentle pace of life in Kypseli lends itself beautifully to simple, relaxed tourism. The predominently agricultural countryside spreads right down to the sea & tourist accommodation is sprinkled between olive & citrus groves, vineyards & farm gardens. The villas are ideally situated to enjoy all the simple pleasures that Kypseli has to offer. The beach is a 3min stroll away down a quiet, narrow road. It is mainly pebble, with some sandy parts & remains peacefully unspoilt. The sea is clean and clear & great for snorkelling. 2 of the best fish tavernas on the island can be found at the water's edge here. The local, well-stocked supermarket is 300m away at the crossroads, as is the nearest taverna. Nightlife is traditional and simple, informal & impromptu, but there's plenty of choice. There are 2 excellent fish tavernas, 2 restaurants, a beach-side garden bar and 2 grill-houses. The more touristic resorts of Tsilivi (4km) and Alykes (7km) offer more lively and varied nightlife.

Other Activities: great snorkelling at the local beach; mini-golf; bowling and laser-games 4km away in Tsilivi.
