Hamilton Estate is a private development of villas and apartments adjacent to Jolly Harbour, the premier marina, golf and leisure resort in the Caribbean, situated on the beautiful west coast of Antigua. Hamilton House stands in its own tropical garden with a large 30 feet long swimming pool and comprises four well-appointed and delightfully furnished 2-bedroom apartments.

We are situated next to the new luxury Sugar Ridge boutique hotel which offers a spa, a gym, two restaurants and sophisticated nightly entertainment.

Jolly Beach is about a 7 minutes walk away; a long sweep of soft white sand and turquoise sea fringed by palm trees, and the entrance to the marina is also just a ten minutes walk away.

There are so many places to explore around the coast of Antigua that each day on board offers new sights and destinations. You can choose to take it easy and relax for the day, leaving our crew to take care of everything, or you can actively participate in sailing the yacht. Snorkel over coral reefs and observe the Caribbean marine life - exotic fish, rays, turtles and dolphins - or laze on deck and enjoy freshly prepared meals with a choice of drinks. To end the day, drop anchor in another secluded bay, and enjoy canapés and cocktails as the sun goes down.

Hamilton House stands at the back of the Estate behind the villas. Access to the apartment is on the ground floor at the rear of the house. The long open-plan living area of the apartment includes a fully equipped kitchen and plenty of space for comfortable everyday living. An open arch leads to an inner hall accessing the bedrooms and bathrooms. The apartment features a spacious, covered veranda enjoying superb hillside views to the side and towards Jolly Harbour to the front and has a charcoal barbeque. The master bedroom has an en-suite bathroom. French doors lead from the master bedroom and the living room directly on to the veranda and can be secured open during the day to take full advantage of the cooling breezes and glorious sunshine. The guest bedroom also has a full bathroom. Ceiling fans and air conditioning are fitted in the bedrooms and the living area. The apartment is serviced with cable television, DVD player, hi-fi, and high-speed wireless Internet connection.

We absolutely love Antigua. We came on a visit and hardly seem to have been away since. Antigua is the heart and soul of the Caribbean, an exotic tropical island with an abundance of palm-fringed beaches, warm sparkling seas, English-speaking and life-loving locals, a wealth of land and water based activities, a huge choice of delicious international cuisines, and a background soundtrack of calypso and reggae. No wonder we decided to make Antigua our second home.

Beautiful aparment

Could not fault this apartment, great position close to supermarket and restaurants and 10 mins walk to 'picture postcard' beach.

The apartment was well equipped with everything a family of four would need for a holiday, the pool and gardens were well maintained and Jenny who looks after the guests really could not do more to make your holiday enjoyable.

Would recommend Antigua as an Island as the locals are fantastic and the beaches sunning.

Hamilton Apartments were perfect for our family!

Our family of four arrived June 25th, 2016 to begin our vacation for 14 days! We got picked up at the airport and driven to Hamilton Estates. It was exactly as the picture displayed it. The apartment was nice and clean when we arrived and half way through our holiday, housecleaning came in and changed all the sheets and towels. The towels were hanging dry on the line. I did laundry as I like things to be clean so I had washed some towels earlier in the week. The apartment had all the comforts of home...wifi, TV, air conditioners in each room, large ceiling fans, nice fridge, stove, dishwasher, microwave, coffee maker, toaster and plenty of pots and pans. My only complaint was that there weren't proper utensils or plastic storage containers. I almost bought a can opener as the one there isn't working.

The pool was nice and clean! We had the entire complex to ourselves for a week and a half. Being that it was July, there weren't as many guests. I am sure it is not always like that. The area was very quiet and felt safe. We didn't rent a car until three days before we left. We are a very active family so walking didn't bother us. We walked to Jolly Beach, Valley Church Beach and even home from Ffryes Beach. We walked to get groceries and my husband would carry large bottles of water while we carried the other groceries. Just a note, they have banned all plastic bags on the island so either bring cloth ones or buy them.

The grocery store was about a 5-10 minute walk door to door. If you don't have a car, it is pretty close. The bus is very convenient to each of the beaches and into town. Once we rented a car and drove to the other side of the island, we realized how fortunate we were to be staying in Hamilton Apartments. We really are on the most beautiful side of the island with beautiful beaches.

I would highly recommend Hamilton Apartment #4. I am sure they are all very nice. The furniture was lovely, especially in the master bedroom. The mattresses were VERY comfortable, as were the pillows. You will NOT be disappointed. If I could ask for a few things, it would be better utensils, more plastic storage boxes to keep dry food, can opener, and maybe replace the bathtub or fix the rusted section. Just all minor issues. Very pleased!!!!

Great Location and comfortable accommodation

This apartment is in a fantastic location (particulary in the off season) close to Jolly Harbour with its supermarket & resturants and a few minutes by car or a short walk to the best beaches on the island (Valley Church, turners and ffyes) It was a good value option for us travelling as a family of 4. and was a described on the website having everything you needed ,including some extras ,which are an added bonus like a dishwasher.Booking was quick and easy and having transfers included was great. The beds were comfortable and there were plenty of towels. We were the only guests there which was lovely. We were a little disappointed with the food at some of the resturants Miracles on the corner was one of the better ones and we had a final meal at Sheer rocks which was more expensive but delicious! Hiring a car is easy they deliver it to the apartment although you don't need one as the bus goes by the end of the drive and walking is easy too!

Home from home

Hamilton house is well located being close to Jolly Harbour and some beautiful beaches which lie within comfortable walking distance, or local bus journey, though we did hire a car for a few days so that we could see more of the beautiful island. The apartment is very comfortable, the gardens are attractive and the pool is a real bonus after a hard day on the beach!! We had a great week and would stay again without a doubt. Howard is very helpful and efficient during the booking process. Thank you also to Yasmine.

Hamilton Estate is situated on the Caribbean west coast of Antigua, a fifteen minutes drive to the capital St John's and twenty-minutes from the airport. The delighful setting is nestled under wooded hillsides and is just a 7 minutes walk away from Jolly Beach. The entrance to Jolly Harbour Marina and resort is also just a 10 minutes walk from Hamilton Estate. This extensive complex offers the largest and finest marina in the Caribbean and superb recreation facilities. A fine 18-hole golf course and a sports centre with swimming pool, tennis courts, and a squash court cater for the actively minded, whilst the commercial centre has a wide range of shops, restaurants, bars and a supermarket to sustain the needs for everyday living. For all its many amenities, Jolly Harbour remains a sophisticated and tranquil setting to while away the holiday hours.
