Our attractive and peaceful apartment (with free WiFi) is located in the delightful Haute Savoie village of Combloux, only 4km from the lovely towns of Megeve (the St. Tropez of the ski world) and St. Gervais, where you can catch the tramway up Mont Blanc. Chamonix is nearby (20 mins), and Geneva and its airport are easily accessible. The spacious apartment (46sqm) sleeps up to 4 and has breathtaking views of Mont Blanc and the Chamonix Needles from its large south facing windows and balcony.

The apartment has been comfortably furnished to a very high standard in Haute Savoie style, and is only a couple of minutes walk from the ski lifts, ski hire shops, ski schools and very extensive network of superb ski slopes, which cater for skiers of all abilities. Restaurants and cafes are nearby, most with panoramic mountain views. This apartment is also ideal for summer use, with a wide choice of adrenaline packed activities or leisurely rambles through fabulous alpine scenery.

A variety of games are provided, together with a TV, DVD, CD, radio and a selection of DVDs and CDs.

Please note that there is a Z-bed alternative for the 4th person.

The apartment has a large south facing balcony with breathtaking panoramic views of Mont Blanc - it has a table and chairs. There is a large private car park adjacent to the apartment.

Summer activities: In summer the apartment is ideally located for activities ranging from walking, horse riding, swimming, hot-air ballooning, canyoning, mountain-biking, white-water rafting, sailing, canoeing, fishing, golf, parakiting, tennis, luge ete (summer sledging), karting, quad biking, and rock climbing. The village of Combloux boasts a rare biotope lake which has panoramic views of the Mont Blanc Massive range – what a place to sunbathe and swim!

The apartment is also ideally situated for summer touring, with numerous quaint towns and villages, not to mention lakes, rivers, glaciers, and mountains to visit. The Mont Blanc Tunnel to Italy is situated only 20 min away at Chamonix.

There is an excellent 18 hole golf course nearby at Megeve - see the Megeve Snow Golf Cup in March. There are excellent courses within half to one hours drive at Chamonix (designed by Robert Trent Jones), Les Gets (45 mins) with superb views in wooded surroundings, Annecy, Giez, Geneva (Evian Royal Open in June).

Superb apartment with fabulous views.

My wife and I have used this apartment, both Summer and Winter for numerous years (2017-week booked in March and two weeks in July) and have never been disappointed. It is accurately described and excellently located for skiing and walking, with some great restaurants on the doorstep. Moreover, the friendly and helpful attitude of the owners is second to none.

I thoroughly recommend this apartment and the owners to all.

Lovely area, but find something else...

A very lovely area for active holidays and extremely open and friendly local people.

But the safety deposit works as a maintenance account for the owner in a farfetched manner. Suspicion and false accusations is an unwelcome aftermath to an otherwise enjoyable holiday. So we would not recommend this particular appartment to anybody.

A concept like "Owners Direct" is based on mutual trust. It is a shame when it does not work that way.

Owner's Response: During 10 years of renting our lovely apartment we have never had to withhold any security deposit for damage caused by our guests. But after this family admitted to causing some damage, we think in the spirit of mutual trust that we should not lose out financially. We have a lot of people who return year after year to our apartment due to the quality of the accommodation and our very good relationship with them.

Spacious, well equipped apartment with superb view

This is a very spacious, well equipped apartment with wonderful views of the Massif from the sitting room, bedroom and large balcony. We found it to be very comfortable, clean and tidy.

It seems well located for a skiing holiday being a very short walk from the pistes, lifts, and bus stop.

We had very good communication with the owners regarding the booking, and were provided with comprehensive details about all aspects of the apartment - how to find it, local amenities, etc.

Highly recommended.

Golf: The nearest golf course is Mont d’Arbois Golf course, Megeve. It is about a 10 minute drive from our apartment.

Situated at an average altitude of 1,320m, the golf course is the oldest mountain stylised golf course. The slightly undulating golf course was designed by Henry Cotton in 1964.

The golf course has 18 holes and 5,994m yardage, it is Par 71, and is open from 15th May to 15th October. It serves lunch, bar snacks, tea & coffee and has a club bar, changing rooms and pro shop. You can hire clubs and a motor trolley, buggy or trolley. It has a driving range. Tariffs vary from 36€ to 75€. Reservations by non members must be made 24hrs in advance. And the views from the course are stunning.

Ski: There is superb skiing to in the Combloux/Megeve area. Combloux-Le Jaillet slopes, covering 90 km, and ranging in height from 1100m up to 1930m. There is a flood lit slope for evening skiing on Tuesdays and Thursdays. From Combloux there is direct access to the slopes of Megeve and beyond to St Gervais and Les Contamines-Mont Jolie – in total there are 450 kms of ski slopes, which range in height from 1100m to 2353m. There's a fabulous variety of traditional restaurants and cafes scattered along the tree lined slopes. Many are perched high on the crest of a hill offering exhilarating views of the mountains and valleys beyond. There are many other winter activities on offer such as ice-skating, heli-skiing, tobogganing, dog sledging and cross country skiing and walking in picturesque winter wonderland alpine scenery.

Equipment hire (we offer 20% discount), ski lessons, ski school, crèche etc are available within a 2 min. walk from the apartment.

The apartment must be left in a clean and tidy state for subsequent guests. Bed linen is included. Optional additional charges: towels at £5 per person; departure clean of the apartment 40€.

Prices are for the property/week in UK Pounds for 2 people. Additional people charged at £20 per person/week. Bookings will be confirmed once deposit of £100 or 20%, whichever is the greater, has been paid. Saturday to Saturday bookings are preferred in high season, although there is flexibility at other times. A security deposit of £200 is required with the final payment (refundable if no damage)

Superb view of Mont Blanc through the large panoramic window (an exceptional way to start the day!) New luxury en suite bathroom with bath, shower, basin, loo and washer/dryer. Separate loo and wash basin off the hall. Separate well equipped kitchen, with hob, combination microwave/ convection oven, fridge, freezer, dishwasher, iron, ironing board. Living Room: Spacious, cosy and comfortable living/dining room with double sofa bed, finished to a very high standard in Haute Savoie style. WiFi internet provided for your use. There is a patio door leading onto a large south facing balcony with beautiful views over the valley to Mont Blanc. Ski locker for storing skis and poles. Access to the apartment from the private car park is at ground level. Due to the hillside location, the apartment and its balcony are on the 2nd floor.
