All our 3 apartments are located in a small house in a quiet neighborhood, at most 15 walking minutes from the historical center. Each apartment has a private parking place in the yard, wifi, SAT TV, DVD, a well equipped kitchen, queen size beds, a safe deposit box and a baby cot and baby high chair. Common to the 3 apartments is a washing room on the ground floor with washing machine and tumble drier, for free use of our guests. In the little garden in the back you will find an open hut for bikes, in case you decide to rent one.

Bedlinen and towels are provided.

All apartments are non-smoking apartments. Smoking only on the balcony or in the garden.

You will find a folder on the table with a list of restaurants, coffee shops and supermarkets close by , on the way to the center and in the center.

You'll find several restaurants in the neighbourhood, at a walking distance of 2 to 10 minutes, also 2 supermarkets at most 10 minutes walking distance and a bakery about 5 walking minutes from the apartments.

Bus number 27, at about 3-4 minutes walking distance in Ganshofstrasse takes you to the center, to the central train station and to the airport. Bus number 2, about 5-6 minutes walking distance on Innsbrucker Bundesstrasse will also take you to the airport.

Check in time: If there are guests leaving on the same day, check in time is around 13-14 o'clock. It is possible to bring your luggage to the apartment from about 10:30 o'clock, but the apartment will be clean only at about 13-14 o'clock.

If there are no guests leaving on the day you arrive, you can check in anytime .

Check out time: 10 o'clock if there are guests coming the same day, otherwise 12 o'clock..

This apartment is in the same building and on the same floor as the 3 room apartment. It has a very well equipped kitchen (with dishwasher, oven, stove, microwave, refrigerator, deep freeze, coffee machine, toaster, etc. ) , Bathroom with shower and WC. hair dryer. In the bedroom there is a queen size double bed and a SAT TV. In the living room, a sofa which can also be opened up into a double bed, an arm chair, a table, SAT-TV, DVD, radio, CD player, a carpet and a romantic oven (additionally to the central heating) which can be heated with wood. Near the kitchen there is a dining place with a table and 4 chairs. All 3 apartments have in common a washing room downstairs with a washing machine and a dryer. This is a non smoker apartment. Safe deposit box in the large wardrobe in the hall.

Apartment Ruth

A friend and I used this apartment in June 2009. It is compact but the level of equipment provided is excellent. The apartment was in good condition and immaculately clean.

It is in a quiet suburb of Salzburgh with a nearby bus route both to the city centre and to the main railway station. There is a gasthof within two minutes walk which provided adequate meals and friendly service. There is also a small supermarket about ten minutes walk away where one can buy essentials.

The owner was extremely helpful, informing us and then arranging transport from Munich airport directly to the apartment.

Nice apartment

Apartment was in nice condition. Everything worked well. The walk into the old town was about 20 minutes as described. Bus stop was nearby. Basically, it was as described. I would stay there again.

Quiet & Homely

The Apartment is located in a very quiet residential neighbourhood yet reachable by public transport. It has all the amenities provided in a clean setting. The only downside was the lack of any English news channels like CNN, BBC, CNBC, etc on the Television. Otherwise I would strongly recommend the property for families.

Convenient with bus service(#27)

Overall it is good; a bit far on foot to the center but it's only 5-10 minuits ride with #27 bus. Better to check where is the bus stop and its time table when you arrive the site. Other buses than #27 also stop nearby. There are handwritten marks on the city map where is the #27 bus stop, supermarkets etc on the table inside the house. The rooms are very clean. No balcony for this property, which is a disappointment.

Comfortable apartment in a great location!

My adult daughter and I spent 3 nights in this apartment. With a long hallway (with large closet), kitchen with eating area, bedroom and a living room (with pull-out couch), it is larger than 2 rooms. Since I am up and about very early in the mornings, I slept in the living room, made coffee in the kitchen and did not disturb my daughter in the bedroom. I would say this apartment is suitable for up to 3 adults (or 4 if you spend most of your time exploring). With a rental car on the day of arrival, I parked in the provided space behind the house. After dropping the car off at Salzburg airport the next day, I took a very convenient bus to the stop just a few blocks from the apartment. After that, we did not use mass transit at all. We simply walked everywhere and were in the Old Town within 15-20 minutes. My daughter also greatly enjoyed her run along the Salzach River.

We did not find a local cafe, but we did eat at the pizza place just a few blocks from the apartment. The pizza was good, and the owner was very friendly.

Travel tip: the current refugee situation had no effect on our exploring, but if you plan to travel to Munich after your stay in Salzburg, avoid the trains. Consider taking the FLIX bus. If you book in advance online, it costs only €7 per person. Travel time is about the same as the train, and the scenery is beautiful. We took a taxi from the apartment directly to the FLIX bus stop (behind the central train station) and had a very enjoyable ride to Munich.

I highly recommend staying at this apartment. It was very clean and convenient. The owner, Ruth, was friendly and caring, and accessible by phone if needed. We truly enjoyed our visit.

Great Location

Dr Dicks apartment is well equipped, very clean and a great location. We were able to walk to the old town with baby and pram within 20-30 minutes easy stroll. It's in a quiet residential neighbourhood and the beds comfy! Highly recommended.

Location

From the Owner

I used to live in the 3 room apartment and I love it because it is so close to the center (15 walking minutes) but in a quiet residential area, in a small house with altogether 6 apartments, with a private parking place for each in the yard and a small garden in the back. What I also like about my apartments is that they have doors and windows in 3 directions so they are airy and there is almost always sunlight coming in somewhere. There are bus stations not more than 4-5 walking minutes away, still it is quiet, you don't hear the busses. And you can walk to the historical center in 15 minutes through pleasant streets. I also love the tall Magnolia tree in the back yard.

The apartments are at Ganshofstrasse 18, close to the historical center, in the part of the city called Max Glan, about 8 minutes driving distance from the airport and from the freeway and about 10 minutes driving distance from the train station.

How to get there: Coming form freeway A 10 EXIT Salzburg Airport, go ahead to the first traffic light, then turn left to the Innsbrucker Bundesstrasse. At the end of Innsbrucker Bundesstrasse turn right to Maxglaner Hauptstrasse. After having passed a small bridge, turn left to Straubingerstrasse. At the end of Straubingerstrasse turn left to Ganshofstrasse. It's the second house on the left side, a light green house. From the airport take either a taxi or bus number 2 to Hans Schmid Platz. Go back about 100 meters until you see a sign 'zum Gasthof zur Einkehr', Before this sign turn right , cross the little bridge and turn right into Ganshofstrasse up to number 18. Or take bus 8 to Glansteg, cross the street,, walk a few meters back, turn right the narrow way and cross the little bridge, then turn right into Ganshofstrasse and walk up to number 18.

Attractions and activities:

within a walking distance of 15-20 minutes you can reach most of Salzburg's main attractions. The Festspielhaus where concerts, operas and theaters are played, the Getreidegasse, a beautiful street in the historical center where you will also find Mozart#s birth place. There is now a museum in that house. The fortress Festung Hohensalzburg from which you have a beautiful view on the city. But my favorite place for a beautiful f view is going up the elevator to the Mönchsberg where the museum of modern art is situated, there you have the nicest view on the old town.. The Dom, Salzburg's biggest church, several other beautiful churches, the old cemetery with its catacombs, the Peter's Keller- which is supposed to be the oldest restaurant in Europe which offers good food and evening concerts with or without dinner. The mirabell garden, on the other side of the river and close by the Marionettentheater, a very artistic puppet theater for adults playing operas by Mozart. You can take a bus to the palace of Hellbrun and watch the water games which are really fun and take your kids to the zoo. Or take your children to the museum of science in the historical center, the 'Haus der Natur' . This just to name some of the most important attractions.

Ski: The closest Ski mountain is the Untersberg in Salzburg. With the car it takes about 15 minutes to get there. There are also busses going there and there is a skibus in winter that takes guests to different ski resorts.
