Perfect Lake View

It was very cozy and inviting. There’s a lake view everywhere you look. The owners are very sweet and informative. The house can use some upgrades, but for the time we spent there it wasn’t a big deal. The Dollar General down the street was pretty fantastic and saved our Thanksgiving meal.

Spectacular Scenery & Wonderful Hosts

We rented this property for the lakefront location, and the views were truly amazing! Most of our time was spent on the deck, admiring the fall colors reflected in the water, and listening to the waves lapping against the shore below us. We could never get enough of the beautiful scenery surrounding us! The house was clean and comfortable. The layout was a little quirky, but added to the overall charm of this lovely retreat. We had plenty of room to spread out and relax with family members. It was such a wonderful place that we only left once, for a couple of hours, to go check out the casino nearby and stop at Walmart for groceries. We cooked and ate every meal at the house because we didn’t want to leave the property. We had such a great time that we hope to return again soon! The hosts are delightful! Mark called two days before our arrival date to give us driving directions, entry access, and tips about the area. He offered to let us check in a few hours early because he knew we were driving from a long distance away and would be tired upon arrival. He communicated with us through texts a couple of times during our stay, and then again when we were getting ready to check out. We felt like old friends by the time we left! Many thanks to Mark and Eva!

Absolute Must See

All I can say is what an amazing getaway place. As described, the lake is visible from nearly every room. Sittng on the deck at any time of day was so relaxing. Also you can literally fish off the deck. Mark was an awesome host...quick to respond and full of information about the area. Speaking of which, there is so much in the town of Wetumpka (much to my surprise). I will definitely make my way back to this amazing plce!!

Wonderful house, beautiful location on lake

We had a great time staying at the Lake House. We were in town on a golf trip. The house turned out to be a great spot for us to gather when not golfing. The house itself had everything we were looking for ... , easy check-in/check-out, comfortable beds, very clean, well-stocked kitchen, etc. The best part was the communication with the owner. From the quick call beforehand, to the restaurant recommendations during our stay, to the offer of late check-out since no one was checking in that day ... Mark is one of the great Vrbo owners to deal with. Thanks again Mark for helping make our trip so great.
