This house filled all our expectations and more. We had a most wonderful holiday. Thankyou
We stayed in this lovely house for 3 weeks in March waking up to the changing views of the mountains.
We walked in the mountains, skied and went to the beach, enjoying wonderful sunshine and great snow.
Jujols is a very special village.
The mountainside location is quite and relaxing and the views are incredible. The walking is superb and it is also a great spot to relax in the sun.
The house was very clean and comfortable. It is well equipped and delightful to live in.We really enjoyed our stay.
Many thanks,
Guy and Carmel
First of all, words will not adequately describe what a fabulous home this is! It is amazing!!! Our family of four came to the Pyrenees to ski for our February Break. We couldn't have asked for a better place to call home at the end of a long day of skiing. The house is very charming and the layout was perfect for our family. Upon arriving, we were let in and very graciously shown around by the caretaker of the property. All the beds were made up very nicely, the house was very clean, and well-stocked (toilet paper, food items, fire wood, etc). There was even firewood in the fireplace already, ready for our first fire and a bottle of wine waiting for us! We called the caretaker right before our arrival and she had the heaters going, so the house was nice and cozy upon our arrival. Did I mention that there is a heated floor in the kitchen?!?!? Super nice! The kitchen was very well-stocked and we were able to cook and enjoy quiet dinners for the four nights we stayed in the home. Everyone slept very well as the beds were super comfortable and were made up with flannel sheets so we were nice and warm as well. We skied at a resort called Les Angles which was about 45 minutes away. We didn't even mind the drive as it was gorgeous! There are closer ski resorts, so if you were hoping for something not so far away, you have other options. I have been told that it is fairly close to the beach as well. Would love to come back in the summer and explore nearby beaches as well! All in all, a fantastic vacation! Thank you, James and Jennifer, for helping our family have one of our most memorable (if not THE most memorable) vacation our family has enjoyed together! You have a lovely home!
The house is in a stunning and quiet location on the outskirts of the village. The car park is about 100 m from the house which can only be reached via a footpath. The last 20 m of the footpath are down a steep cobbled slope.
The garden is small but attractive with great views over Mount Canigou. In June the main terrace had sun from late morning till 6 pm but there is a very small terrace at the back of the house which is in the sun from early in the morning.
The kitchen is spacious and well equipped but do watch out for the fridge freezer which will freeze your vegetables if it is set on 4!
The main bedroom is in the basement and has a very small window which makes for a dark room. It has no door only a bead curtain. The window does not open and the door had a board in front of it - not sure why. The most off putting thing was a stained mattress and duvet. They were horrible and smelled musty.
The bathroom was functional with a walk in shower. There was plenty of hot water.
The second bedroom was upstairs but again this did not have a proper door either. The third bedroom was just an alcove off the sitting room upstairs. This was fine for just the two of us but it does not offer much privacy.
We did contact the owner regarding the dirty mattresses after our visit but she failed to respond to our email.
