Lovely villa set on a well established private estate, with beautiful pool, tennis court and well maintained gardens. The villa benefits from a private rear terrace to have breakfast in the sun, and to the front, a terrace to sit with a chilled glass of wine as the sunsets over the mountains, an experience not to be missed.

The villa's sunny lounge on the first floor has light from both sides of the property with views over the mountain, the kitchen is set to one side which is fully equipped, a further kitchen area can be found downstairs which incorporates an oven. There is also a barbeque for alfresco dining.

Close to beaches and Calpe town which has many shops, bars and restaurants

Flights into Valencia maybe cheaper than into Alicante and well worth checking both as your airport to fly into.

Valencia is about 1hr 15 mins travelling time Alicante is about 50 minutes to reach the villa by car. Hope this helps to save some money towards your holidays. Happy hols..

Places of Interest: Places of interest a must to visit on your holiday is the beautiful village of Guadalest, occupying one of the most stunning positions in Spain, this small village is perched on the pinnacle of a granite mountain, giving fabulous views across the valley carved out by the River from which the village takes its name.The old village and castle is accessed through a tunnel carved from the rock and when you reach the other end and see the ancient houses, you seem to have been transported to another age. The jalon valley and the safari Parks at Aitana and Vergel are a must for the kids along with the theme park Terra Mitca and the water park of Agulandia.

Don't forget a look around the market at Calpe on a Saturday til 1pm and weekly at Moraira and Altea.

Nightlife: Whether you prefer to chill out, watch the sun go down with a glass of wine at the villa, or head for Calpe where you will find a range of pubs, and restaurants from all nationalities, English, Chinese, Italian, Dutch, we recommend the Argentinian Steak House, along with the Japanese by the marina. Also about 30min south is the town of Benidorm, where you can enjoy an evening out at the Benidorm Palace, and watch a spectacular show with meal, wine and champagne included.

Fiesta's: The three biggest summer fiestas takes place on June 24th (the Feast of San Juan), July 16th which sees a celebration in honour of La Virgen del Carmen and August 5th when the town stages a fiesta in honour of La Virgen de las Nieves.

If you're holidaying around these dates you'll be able to enjoy the riot of colour, noise and chaos which typifies a Spanish fiesta. The streets become the stage for a musical extravaganza of bands, processions, parades and fireworks.

And the party continues even if you visit Calpe out of season. January 5th sees one of the biggest celebrations of the year - the Feast of the Three Kings (Los Tres Reyes) which is more important to the Spanish than Christmas Day.

Fabulous villa

The villa provided excellent and comfortable accommodation. The owners' additional touches of providing a dvd and video collections, games and playing cards filled the quiet moments. The villa is in a quiet residential location, although we were early in the season - end of March 2009. Despite the time of year the weather during the day was very warm. We were able to catch the sun all day with the front and rear courtyards. The rear courtyard is very secure and private. The town/beach are within easy walking distance subject to a reasonable level of fitness. The area is a little hilly. There's a great choice of local and international supermarkets close by. Its a beautiful area of Spain that is worth exploring. Would have no reservation whatsoever about booking this villa again.

Lovely Villa , Great Views

I visited with my family with older children (20 & 15) and we all enjoyed our stay here. The villa is spacious and very well equipped, clean and tidy as described. The pool area is great, we mostly had it to ourselves and on the odd occasion that others were there, everyone was polite and friendly but kept to themselves. A car is a must to visit the supermarket and tour the area however we did walk into Calpe without any trouble. The climate is great for sun worshippers. Great food, great wine and lovely accommodation. The owners were lovely to deal with, providing good information about the villa and the surrounding area. Considering re-visiting with my parents in 2017.

Wonderful villa with beautiful views!

The villa provided clean, excellent and comfortable accommodation...very much a homely feel with all that you need....even an exercise bike! With a couple of teenagers with us, it was brilliant that we had access to TV and DVDs. The villa is in a quiet residential location, with beautiful views of the mountains. The pool, which we visited every day was a delight, we especially liked the "sloping beach" area which was perfect for staying cool without swimming. The weather, of course, was fabulous! Sun or shade was provided in the outside areas of the villa, with chairs or sun loungers all setup and cushions available to provide extra comfort when having a siesta. A short car trip to the coastal town of Calpe was easy and we experienced a number of fantastic restaurants that served excellent food with a friendly welcome. This was our first experience of holidaying in Spain and we would have no hesitation in booking this villa again. Thanks to Steve for his unwavering customer service before, during and after the holiday.

Lovely Villa in Quiet Urbanisation

Really enjoyed our stay at Blue Moon villa. The villa had everything we needed and more to have a relaxing family holiday. Close to Calpe centre and the beaches, we found it a great location to explore the coastal towns. The owners were very attentive with the information provided. Highly recommended!!

Our Home Away From Home

This was our 4th year of renting the lovely "Blue Moon Villa".... a beautiful traditional style Spanish villa on a peaceful urbanisation just outside of the bustling town of Calpe. The villa is spacious and well maintained with a lovely mature garden/patio at the rear which offers privacy for those lazy sun-worshipping days and a large front garden to relax in on the way back from the delightful communal pool. The house itself is well stocked and has the added bonus of a downstairs kitchen area if you decide to eat outside in the evening. We can't recommend it enough if you're looking for somewhere tranquil to just sit and enjoy the calm that the villa provides. Plenty of beach toys/sports equipment stored in the garage if the mood takes you to visit beach or the tennis court. Highly recommended and we'll definitely be returning again. Thank you Steve and Chris..... see you next year !!!! WE LOVE IT !!!!

Pre visit support/advice from owners was quick and comprehensive. Villa is great and situated in a lovely complex with plenty of shrubs and palm trees. A very well furnished and comfortable home with a lovely patio at the rear. Stunning views from lounge/dining room. Our party consisted of four adults and there is ample room for six. Local shops, supermarkets only two/three minutes drive away and five minutes to the beach. We plan to return next year! Tom and Margot. Leeds.U.K.
