About the property

3 Bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, sleeps 6

Lovely villa set on a well established private estate, with beautiful pool, tennis court and well maintained gardens. The villa benefits from a private rear terrace to have breakfast in the sun, and to the front, a terrace to sit with a chilled glass of wine as the sunsets over the mountains, an experience not to be missed.

The villa's sunny lounge on the first floor has light from both sides of the property with views over the mountain, the kitchen is set to one side which is fully equipped, a further kitchen area can be found downstairs which incorporates an oven. There is also a barbeque for alfresco dining.

Close to beaches and Calpe town which has many shops, bars and restaurants

Flights into Valencia maybe cheaper than into Alicante and well worth checking both as your airport to fly into.

Valencia is about 1hr 15 mins travelling time Alicante is about 50 minutes to reach the villa by car. Hope this helps to save some money towards your holidays. Happy hols..

Places of Interest: Places of interest a must to visit on your holiday is the beautiful village of Guadalest, occupying one of the most stunning positions in Spain, this small village is perched on the pinnacle of a granite mountain, giving fabulous views across the valley carved out by the River from which the village takes its name. The old village and castle is accessed through a tunnel carved from the rock and when you reach the other end and see the ancient houses, you seem to have been transported to another age. The jalon valley and the safari Parks at Aitana and Vergel are a must for the kids along with the theme park Terra Mitca and the water park of Agulandia.

Don't forget a look around the market at Calpe on a Saturday til 1pm and weekly at Moraira and Altea.

Nightlife: Whether you prefer to chill out, watch the sun go down with a glass of wine at the villa, or head for Calpe where you will find a range of pubs, and restaurants from all nationalities, English, Chinese, Italian, Dutch, we recommend the Calpe Steak House, along with Puerto Blanco by the little marina. Also about 30min south is the town of Benidorm, where you can enjoy an evening out at the Benidorm Palace, and watch a spectacular show with meal, wine and champagne included.

Fiesta's: The three biggest summer fiestas takes place on June 24th (the Feast of San Juan), July 16th which sees a celebration in honour of La Virgen del Carmen and August 5th when the town stages a fiesta in honour of La Virgen de las Nieves.

Later in the year normally in October is the Moor's and Christian's carnival, we have been and thought it was awesome.

If you're holidaying around these dates you'll be able to enjoy the riot of colour, noise and chaos which typifies a Spanish fiesta. The streets become the stage for a musical extravaganza of bands, processions, parades and fireworks.

And the party continues even if you visit Calpe out of season. January 5th sees one of the biggest celebrations of the year - the Feast of the Three Kings (Los Tres Reyes) which is more important to the Spanish than Christmas Day.

Amazing property, huge pool and great location!!

  • 5 of 5

We stayed at the Blue Moon villa in April and it was fab! The weather was good for the time of year, the villa was perfect and the pool & villa location were amazing!

The villa was perfect for a family or a couple - it was just me and my other half who stayed in April and we had loads of space, you could easily accommodate a family of 6 here!

The pool was lovely and so close, I was really surprised! The villa's location was great Calpe was only 5mins drive away and we could easily drive up or down the coast to other area's. Calpe itself is beautiful with loads of bars, restaurants and shops!

We have now booked to go back in September and we can't wait, fingers crossed the weather is ok!!

Owner's Response: Hi Kristen Thanks for your kind review. We are pleased you enjoyed your stay, happier still that you intend to return again next month. I guess the villa and surrounding area kind of grows on you and welcomes you back as if it were your holiday home. The weather in April and all the way through to November can be lovely, very like summer in the UK. Sometimes a lot hotter and occasionally cooler. The average daily sunshine hours in April is 9 hours a day, although a jumper maybe required in the evening. In October the sea temperature is a warm is 22C or 72F with an average of seven hours of sunshine per day. Please check the temperatures and sunshine hours for when you have booked.

Nice place to stay

  • 5 of 5

The house is situated in a small residential area near Calpe. The surroundings are quiet with nice views and a communal pool. We travelled with there young children, for which the house is good to stay in. (Although there is no stairgate, so keep toddlers in sight...) The house offers enough space, is well equipped and features two beautiful gardens. The house was cleaned very well before our arrival.

Although you could walk to the city center a car is very handy, since the beach and supermarkets are around 1,5km away. We found the south-beach the best for small children, the east beach has a little more shops.

While you are in Calpe be sure to check out La Picaeta for authentic tapas :)

A welcome break in Calpe.

  • 5 of 5

Had a really nice break and great weather, in a lovely villa on an ideally located urbanisation, in Calpe, convenient for town shops and restaurants. It was quiet at this time of year and the stunning pool was a great attraction. The villa itself provided a homely atmosphere and all the facilities you could need. The local contact was English and provided convenient assistance should it be needed and even Steve, the owner, was at the end of the telephone, and only too willing to help. A very pleasant experience, right from booking to leaving the villa.

Lovely villa, great location, near the town and beach

  • 5 of 5

We had a fantastic time at the villa and Steve was so helpful with brilliant driving directions and restaurant recommendations. It has everything you need for a great family holiday. The pool was lovely, a good size and always very clean. The villa was perfect for us (2 adults, 2 teenagers) and the kitchen is well equipped if you want to cook any meals. The location is ideal, 2-3 min drive from Calpe town and the beach. We used the free parking by Lidl and just walked across the road to the beach. We also visited the water park in Aqualandia which is an easy 30 min drive up the road. Also for amazing views of the bay I recommend climbing the 'rock' - Penon de Ifach. Took us about 1 hr to climb up and another 1hr back down but the views are stunning. Best climbed early evening around 6pm ish in summertime as it's pretty warm!
