3 bed / 2 bath condo to sleep 6 right on the beach in quiet, charming location

Lovely 3-bedroom / 2-bathroom condo on the second floor of a quiet 15-unit complex, away from the crowds. Your balcony directly faces the Gulf of Mexico, so you can enjoy georgeous views of the sea and white sandy beach, the pelicans and other fascinating sea-birds, and the stunning sunsets. A private stairway leads to the heated pool (fenced all round to keep children safe) and the beach. The unit is fully equipped for all your holiday needs including towels, bed linen, and much, much more. Plenty of shops, restaurants and activities for the whole family are all within easy reach. Unit size approx 1375 sq ft. Air conditioning & central heating throughout, plus ceiling fans in the master bedroom, second bedroom and lounge.

New lounge furniture added in February 2011 (a sofa and loveseat). There are also two high back cushioned chairs giving comfortable seating for seven. New dining furniture May 2011. New washer/dryer December 2011. New Frigidaire Cooker September 2012. New mattresses and quilt covers November 2012. New quilts and bedroom carpets May 2014.

Visitors return year after year to this stunning complex, on one of the most beautiful parts of Florida's gulf coast. The condo has its own covered parking, private elevator access and private access to the pool area and beach directly from its own balcony. The home has been thoughtfully furnished and equipped for the perfect holiday getaway. The unit sleeps six: King in the master, Queen in the second bedroom and two twins in the third, and all three are provided with full linens and have masses of storage.

There are two stand-alone bathrooms; both have WCs and basins, with vanity units and wall cabinets providing good storage. Bathroom 1 has a combination bath and shower, while the second bathroom has a huge walk-in shower. The kitchen is fully equipped for all your holiday needs (see below) while a separate utility room has a washing machine and dryer, iron and ironing board, and a large sink for rinsing sandy beachwear.

The lounge / dining area is a lovely, airy space with two pairs of sliding doors leading onto the balcony. High speed internet with wi-fi is provided, together with cable TV and a DVD/CD player; an ipod dock/speaker system which is compatible with other mp3 players (Walkman etc); and a small library of books, family games, and DVDs. On the balcony there is a chest of beach activity items. At the last check-up, there were also beach chairs and an umbrella.

The pool area has plenty of sun loungers, tables and chairs, and a barbeque. The complex also benefits from a private fishing pier across the road on the intercoastal waterway. The local trolley-bus stops just outside and runs throughout the day and evening from Clearwater to St Pete Beach with connections to Passe-a-Grille and Downtown St Petersburg.

There are a few restaurants within easy walking distance, with a full range of shops, restaurants and activities within a few miles.

Great location, no en suite master bedroom

The view of the gulf and sunsets is outstanding. However, my definition of a master bedroom is one that is en suite, so when the website advertised a master bedroom, that is what I expected. Big disappointment that the unit had

2 stand- alone bathrooms in need of an update. Although the unit is meant to accommodate 6 people, we only had 4 bathtowels and 1 bathmat for 2 bathrooms. We looked forward to playing some of the boardgames on the shelf, but when we opened the boxes, they were all empty. We were early to check in. The unit wasn't ready yet, but 3 Palms thoughtfully offered to call us when it was ready. The call never came, although the staff was friendly when we finally got the keys.

Owner's Response: Thank you for your feedback. We are sorry that there was some misunderstanding about the bathrooms, we will review the listing description to see if we can make this more clear. The linen service usually provides 8 sets of towels - two sets hung in each bathroom and the rest stored in the vanity units. Our agent is always very prompt at providing additional towels if any are missing. Unfortunately some items, such as beach toys, board games, etc, get damaged or go missing during the rental season; we will check these on our next maintenance visit.

Summer 2015 vacation

This makes the 2nd time we have stayed at wcv 2d. The unit has a perfect view of the beach and ocean. We like having the stairway directly to your room from the pool as well as the elevator (kids and groceries are heavy). The unit is nice with plenty of room. Plenty of sand toys to enjoy as well. Sara is great to work with as well. We'll definitely be returning!

Wonderful experience!

We had a wonderful vacation here. Property is right on the beach. Having morning coffee on the balcony overlooking the ocean, walks on the beach was just what we were looking for. There are no hotels around so beach is yours! If you want more hustle and bustle, drive to John's Pass. There are restaurants, shops, tours that way. Publix is in a different direction. Everything is within 10 minutes drive.

Condo itself is spacious, had everything you need for your stay. My only complaints were a/c and faucet knobs in one of the bathrooms. A/C was making a rattling noise in the bedroom next to the kitchen and wasn't efficient enough to get rid of the humidity inside. Faucets had to be cleaned. We left our comments to the management company so hopefully it's all fixed.

Overall, definitely recommend this property. You will enjoy your stay.

Ideal location

A stunning location for a relaxing holiday. A lovely view of the Gulf coast from the rear of the property, particularly when the sun sets. Also a nice view of the brackish waterway at the front, from the master bedroom. We particularly liked watching the wildlife including dolphins and pelicans. Shame we never got to see a manatee, which can sometimes be seen in the waterway.

The accommodation is particularly nicely furnished, providing all the amenities you could require. It is well maintained and the agents provide a helpful service if you do have any questions. Once you have mastered the intricacies of the TV remote controls, there is also a good selection of satellite channels.

There is a nice selection of restaurants ,featuring locally caught fish, within a few miles either direction and not the usual chain restaurants that you see all along the main highways.

I would certainly recommend the property to others and would hope to return ourselves one day.

Brilliant Beach Holiday!

If you are interested in a brilliant beach holiday - look no further. This condo at West Coast Vista is very well kept, comfortable and has a beautiful view. We stayed there with our family of six - parents, grandparents and two teenagers - during Christmas 2011 and we just booked again for Christmas 2012! Sara, the owner, has always been accommodating to our needs and very swift in replies and the management company, Three Palms, has been quite helpful and expedient in fixing small things for us. Indian Rocks Beach is probably one of the best kept vacation secrets and is full of Old Florida charm, complete with delightfully casual bars or a slightly upper scale restaurant (e.g. Guppy's) where after a day at the beach you can enjoy a cold beer or a Chardonnay and the best fresh seafood on the planet!

condo is in a beautiful location, beach is wonderful, layout of condo is nice. Upkeep of condo needs more attention from 3 palms management, day we arrived there were ants all over kitchen counter called 3 palms they were aware there was a problem but thought it was fixed, never sent anyone to look even though they said they would call back(checked in Sat called office right away, never got back to us at all although noticed they tried to call wed at 5pm, by then we had bought spray ourselevs) Also the shower curtain in bathroom closest to kitchen had mold all accross the bottom, for $20 they should change it!

Owner's Response: Thanks for your feedback. We’re sorry there was some miscommunication with our management company; they arranged for the pest control company to call, and assumed the problem had been solved. Unfortunately ants can be a problem in this part of Florida, and the pest control treatment can take a few days to take effect. The regular treatment which is applied usually keeps on top of this issue, but sometimes the climate conditions mean there is a problem which needs some additional attention. Regarding the shower curtain, we would obviously replace this as soon as we are aware there is an issue, which is usually spotted by our housekeepers. However, they may occasionally miss things, so we are always grateful to our guests for advising the management company of anything that needs attention. This has now been replaced.

Tourist Information 2 miles away. Busch Gardens about 30 miles, Orlando and Disney parks about 95 miles. Local activities include: golf, fishing, wildlife, shopping, restaurants, cinema and theatre, museums, sightseeing, walking, swimming, boating, jet-skiing and various other water sports.

Nearest restaurants (5-10 minute walk): The Pub Waterfront Restaurant, offering a wide range of seafood and American cuisine. Villa Gallace, upmarket Italian restaurant. JD's, great for breakfast plus full range of American food. Crabby Bills, great seafood. Many more restaurants within 5-10 minute drive: My Place, Brewmaster, Keegans Seafood Grill, Tapas Garden, Guppy's, Thai Pan Alley, Jimmy Guana's, Red Lion Pub, Los Mexicanos.

The nearest grocery store is a 7-eleven, about a mile away. Publix supermarket a couple of miles away along Walsingham Road.

There are several other shopping malls on the road towards St Petersburg, with a wide range of shops including Macy's and Sears.
