About Barry Vernon

The name of the villa is JABBERT... The initials of my family

J julius, A aimy. B barney, B barry, E eilleen, R reuben, T toby

Why Barry Vernon chose Javea, Moraira and Denia Area

JABBERT is a family home and mainly lends its self to a fun time with the children. We have tried to make the garden area interesting as well as beautiful and as safe as possible for the infants. There are just 2 steps into the front of the house, 6 out of the back. The pool and garden are all step free , ground level.

Perfect blend of home and away

  • 5 of 5

Property as described, fully equipped, plenty of linens, kitchen equipment and outdoor facilities. We had a party of 8 and had plenty of space inside and out - lots of seating choices outside & places to eat, in or out. Nice clean pool, shaded seating areas and loads of sun bathing areas - although there were 8 of us we could really spread out. I looked at loads of villas (mostly more expensive than this one) but specifically wanted somewhere with private parking, 3 showers, all on one level, full air condidtioning and obvious shaded seating areas outside & that's exactly what I got. If I was suggesting any improvements it would be to update the soft furnishings outside (although they fade really quickly in the sun so maybe not worth it) The location overall was ideal - 5 min drive to the beautiful beach front - loads of places to eat, drink, play, great for kids and adults. You could walk/cycle to the beach at a push but the journey home up the hill would be a killer. There's an indian restaurant (which we all thought was really good and good value for money) less than a 5 min walk away and an Italian (also quite good) a 2 min walk away. There's a small supermarket a 2 min drive away with a cafe next door and loads of supermarkets a 5 min drive away. If you're a prosecco drinker find the Masymas supermarket and pick up bottles of Crystalino - there's 2 on the way to the beach :) Overall a great villa in a perfect location.

Owner's Response: Thank you Nancy , it's so pleasing when guests tell you that they have had a wonderful holiday and that everything was as expected. I think the large private garden helps by providing plenty of outside space especially when its a large party.

The villa meets all the requirements for a large family. The private pool is a huge bonus and its location offers easy access to local area. Arenal beach front is a must and Pecados restaurant offers easily the best in food and service. One of our party is a wheelchair user and the villa lends itself well to wheelchairs. In the past the bars and restaurants at Arenal offered little in the way of facilities for wheelchair users but this is now not the case there are plenty of disabled bays and the local police keep check on them. A word of caution however the access to the front is not always the best with often scooters or cars blocking ramps but that's the only negative.

Owner's Response: I'm so glad that you found the villa suitable for all your requirements and that it was a great relaxing holiday. Yes the sea front does get busy with cars, lets hope, in time visitors will begin to respect the parking restrictions and it makes life easier for all users.

Great Villa near Javea

  • 5 of 5

This villa is excellent with outstanding features. The villa is no more than a ten minute drive to the lovely Arenal beach in Javea. The villa is spacious with gardens all around the property and a gorgeous pool. Their is a BBQ at the rear and three separate sun bathing areas around the villa. The villa is a home from home with a large lounge and dining areas and a lovely kitchen area. Our party consisted of 5 adults and there was ample space. The villa is up an hillside so a car is necessary but even in high temperatures there was a nice breeze to cool you down. There was air con and fans in the villa that helped with sleeping at night in over 30 degree heat. Javea is excellent and we had a great visit to Valencia by car and train. All in all a really enjoyable holiday. John and family from Manchester.

Villa - Javea. Exactly as advertised.

  • 5 of 5

Had a fab time in Javea. This villa has everything you could possibly need and exactly as it was advertised plus exceptionally clean and well maintained. New kitchen was a delight. There are loads of sunbathing spots too, around the pool, in the Spanish garden etc. Also there is an outdoor bar area with gazebo which was lovely to have a drink in the evening. We had a car and found lots of lovely places within easy reach, local beaches, local markets. There is a bar just around the corner and a couple of local restaurants. Also behind the villa are some tennis courts. I would definitely recommend this villa to my friends and relatives - excellent!! My thanks to the owner for providing a lovely villa to stay in..

Excellent facilities & location

  • 5 of 5

Quiet location but with access to restaurants/bars/sports within walking distance & only a short drive to the coast & all the facilities that Javea has to offer. The villa is everything you would want with enough bathrooms (3) you would need even when the villa is full. The kitchen/dining area is fully fitted with all facilities. and the lounge is a pleasant room for relaxing. The well tended garden is a lovely place to sit and relax and to eat outside, with an undercover pergola and bar if you prefer to sit out of the sun. I will be returning regularly if available.

Owner's Response: Hi there Mr G, Thank you for your kind review. If I can remember correctly it was an all male holiday and I must compliment you and your friends on the cleanliness in which you left the Villa. Also not to forget to thank you all, for the superb bottle of Cava you left for my own visit. Please come back ASAP.

Nice villa in a lovely part of Spain.

  • 5 of 5

We much enjoyed our 2 weeks in this well-equipped villa, which proved to be easily big enough for our party of 6 adults plus an infant. We particularly liked the open naya at the front of the house, overlooking the pool, and the alternative eating area, complete with barbeque, at the back. The garden and, of course, the pool were delightful and well-used.

We made good use of the various restaurants, of which there are many within easy reach, and particularly two within a few minutes’ walk: La Guardia for informal dining (try the fish soup!) and L’Echalote which is superb if a little pricier.

A car is strongly recommended since the nearest supermarket is a long walk, at least for me! In any case, there are many delights in the area that can only be explored with some wheels.

We very much appreciated the owner’s helpfulness in arranging to provide a cot and high-chair for our little one. In fact, the whole process of making the booking was simple and trouble-free, as was our holiday.

Villa JABBERT is situated just a few minutes drive from the main Arenal beach front. Cabo La Nao is a beautiful bit of coast running along the peninsula to the south of the town. There are numerous private beaches nearby where you can sit or laze and taste the local tapas and vinos. Four good quality restaurants and a bar are within easy walking distance from the villa. Javea is a small fishing town, split into three areas, the Old Town, Port, and Arenal Beach. Nature has been so generous to this area that it is difficult to find a similar place with such mixed beauty. The sea is pure blue and clean. It reveals a rugged coastline which has been washed to a pure and crystal sheen. Summer months provide the added attraction of beach front traders and many regional markets are available most days of the week. Javea boasts of having two very splendid and unusual churches as well as its own museum..
