Lovely Cottage, Great Location and all the amenities on site to make a great holiday.

The owners of the property have made this cottage a delightful place to stay and I would recommend it to anyone seeking peace and quiet in a beautiful setting. The cottage overlooks the loch and is one of the best holidays I have ever had in Scotland.

Owner's Response: Wow - Steve, thanks for the fantastic review. The Cottage certainly worked its magic on you. We agree that it is a unique place, right on the Loch (no road in front of the cottage like so many others) and are delighted to hear you feel we thought of everything to make it a place for unforgettable holidays. That's our aim. Many thanks - Turan

Quiet little cottage close to the shore of Loch Ness. A small shop and café in Foyers, the next village along, plus nice walks to the Falls of Foyers, and in Farigaig Forest. Inverness is about 25 minutes drive away, Ben Nevis about an hour.

Kids and dog loved the beach, not so happy about the midges, but that's Scotland.

Well appointed kitchen so didn't need to bring sharp knives or caffetiere.

Owner's Response: Thanks for the great review Ben. Delighted you all loved the beach and the cottage and that you found the kitchen well-equipped. We tried to think of everything guests might need. I see you met the Scottish midges - yes - that's Scotland - but some years are better than others. This year is not so bad actually. They don't like everyone, and Skin So Soft from Avon keeps them away from many people who don't like using insect repellent. Many thanks for your visit and we hope you take away many happy memories of this magical place. Thanks - Turan

Fabulous getaway

  • 5 of 5

We have just returned from a mon-fri break at the cottage. The location and views of Loch Ness are simply stunning. The Cottage itself is very well equipped to cater for your stay. It really is like a home from home. The steps down to the pebbled beach were a little steep but safe. Our son and pup both had a little paddle in the Loch!

The garden is fully enclosed so ideal for pets. Communication with Turan was excellent. All our queries were answered promptly and our special requests were accommodated. All in all the Cottage was a fantastic place to spend some good old fashioned quality time with our teenage children and we hope to return one day.

Owner's Response: Dear Elaine, How kind of you take the trouble to write a review - and such a wonderful review too. We're really pleased you found The Cottage at Inverfarigaig as magical as we promised it would be. We're impressed your son and dog went into the water at the private beach in April ! And thanks also for the kind words about our customer service - we try to be as prompt and helpful as possible. We're delighted to hear you'd like to return and we'd love to welcome you all back some time. with many thanks and best wishes - Turan

This was an amazing holiday perfect location. The cottage was lovely and warm when we arrived. We visited the Black Isle and were lucky enough to see some dolphin's and seals. Foyer Falls is well worth a visit but is quite a climb back up. Our boys aged 5 & 9 loved the beach building dams with the stone and wood. It was also perfect for our dog who was the only one who took a dip in the Loch. I would recommend this cottage we loved it so much we have book one of the other cottages that Iain and Turan own for April before with left this one.

Cosy, relaxing cottage

  • 3 of 5

A very relaxing place to stay on the shores of Loch Ness, highly recommended for the peace and quiet. Cottage small but cosy with everything we needed.

Spent most of our time relaxing in the conservatory watching the wildlife. Looking forward to our next visit.
