The Methow Valley is a premier area for Winter sports such as Cross Country Skiing (right out your front door), Snowshoeing, Telemark Skiing, Snowmobiling & Ice Skating. The Spring, Summer & Fall also offer unmatched beauty and endless opportunities for Mountain Biking, Hiking, Mountaineering, Rafting, Fishing.
Along with all of the outdoor activities for sports enthusiasts, we have spectacular views of the North Cascades and wildlife is abundant.
New and nicely appointed house. Very comfortable. Great kitchen made it fun for our family group to cook together. 100 foot walk to the XC groomed trail, with a groomed loop in the meadow just below the house. Short ski into the town of Mazama for lots of skiing, snacks, hot drinks. Overall very nicely located to great ski destinations with access out the door. Park your car for the whole stay, and just ski out.
We were very pleased with this home – it is very large, clean, spacious and comfortable. It is about 15 minutes from Winthrop. Really beautiful!
The cabin was not completely clean. Cobwebs were swirling when we turned on the ceiling fans. Personal hygiene garbage items were found under bathroom sink. One bed upstairs was worn/uncormfortable. Outdoor furniture was very dirty & had to be cleaned to use. The kitchen was clean & well stocked.
This is a nice very place to stay. It is spacious and the views are great. The only thing missing is a hot tub.
I have always enjoyed coming up to Winthrop/Mazama, Washington to visit the beautiful scenery and the amazing people here. This property sits in the center of a beautiful valley. It is very secluded and has many activities for the outdoorsy type. Such a great hospitality and genuine people. This was my third stay here and I will continue to come back. My fiance's first time, and he wanted to stay longer. If we lived closer we would come more often as there are many of our favorite things to do here, some of these include, fishing, hiking, skiing, swimming, jet skiing, hunting, and many more. You bet we will be back, hopefully sooner than later.
The actual house itself was very clean and I felt as if I were at my own home, in my own germs, and no one Else's. The beds were nice and neat, towels were clean, and there was no sign of someone there before us. It's really nice that there is a washer and drier, as sometimes those are needed.
Thanks for having us! We appreciated the warmth and hospitality of your hideaway!
My group of five loved the vacation home, it had everything we needed and was close to the event we were attending in Winthrop.
We are located 1.5 miles from the East Entrance to the North Cascades National Park. Unlimited Hiking, Biking, Mountaineering, Telemark skiing, & Snowmobiling are out your back door. We are also located on the MVSTA trails system so there is no traveling, just clip on your skis and head out your front door. The history old Western town of Winthrop is 12 miles east of Timberline Meadows on Hwy 20. A local Outfitter & Horse back riding is a mere walk down the road. The Methow River is across the Hwy with great river access just a few miles down the road.
