Located in the heart of the Luberon Lavender fields

This property, Gite St Denis, is just beautiful! The actual building is a lovely traditional 'mas' which has been really tastefully renovated, both externally but especially inside. The standard of the fittings and the finish is really quite exceptional and very well done.

What you actually get here is a one bedroom, ground floor Gite, with a bathroom and great kitchen and dining facilities, furnished to a high standard. There is also a pool and garden available which is shared with the other three properties.

The pool is a large 12m x 6m, decked border for relaxing and sun bathing. Area is fenced off and protected by a pool alarm. It is separate from the house, immediate vicinity of the house remain calm and peaceful.

It is set in beautiful open countryside, lavender fields and meadows around you, in a location that is ideal for visiting the local villages towns attractions and countryside. There are three villages nearby and in walking distance there are a couple of highly recommended restaurants.

The other key feature of this property is the lovely terrace, some 36 m², to enable you to take advantage of the lovely Provencal sunshine.

nice, well kept and clean

a nice retreat in the valley between Luberon and Vaucluse. The terrace is north facing, which is a bonus in the summer heat. The pool is nice and offers views towards Gordes.

Superb! I don't think we could fault it

The gite was down a very secluded lane in countryside with some stunning views. When we arrived through the electric secure gates, Sonia was waiting to greet us in the parking area. Our first impressions were that the entire site was well kept and presented.

The gite was clean and well maintained, with all the equipment we could possibly need for our sojourn. We even had comfortable easy chairs - something many French and Italian properties don't provide! The bed was comfortable too.

The swimming pool was plenty big enough for the number of people staying in the small collection of gites, with excellent sunbathing decking with sufficient sunloungers.

There were many thoughtful additions available, such as good quality mountain bikes, plenty of games for children (although this was our first holiday without any for years!), and a good bbq area.

Our only complaint was that we weren't there long enough! Two weeks for us next time!

Outstanding accommodation in a fantastic location

The description of this property was highly accurate. It is well situated for exploring the region, especially the hilltop villages, and very nicely appointed. Managed by the French owners, who are on-site permanently, we were made to feel very welcome. While the four properties are in the same block, careful use of space and layout ensure sufficient privacy. All bedding is included. We would definitely stay here again.

The property is ideally situated in the middle of three typical Provencal villages; Gordes, Roussillon and Goult, each about 4 km away.

The local villages are all well serviced with bakers, butchers, grocers and restaurants

There are weekly market, cafes, bars and restaurants in all the villages. Markets can also be found at a host of other local towns, Isle sur le Sorgue, Cavaillon, Apt.

Sports facilities and activities nearby include Tennis courts, walking and biking trails, horse riding, Golf and Kayaking in L'Isle sur La Sorgue.

As you'd expect, there are some excellent in the area, not only in the nearby villages but also in the countryside in large old properties.

You’ll find the nearest larger supermarkets in Cavaillon, L'Isle sur la Sorgue or Apt all within 10 km.

There are also lavender fields around the property so it really is a delightful spot! The pool is a large 12m x 6m and has a decked border for relaxing and sun bathing. The area is fenced off and and protected by a pool alarm. It is separate (about 50 metres away) from the house, meaning the terraces and immediate vicinity of the house remain calm and peaceful. Internet access not available at the property I'm afraid, but you are welcome to bring along your Dongle and use the mobile network. Telephone is not available here - sorry. A baby cot and high chair can be made available upon request
