This fully legalized walkout basement suite is truly a gem in the NW! This large (1300sqft!), bright, clean, modern, open-concept, space is a luxurious, comfortable and safe place to spend your time in Calgary, Alberta.
The separate entrance allows for guests to come and go as they please. Confirmed guests will choose the code they wish to use during their stay to access the suite and will enter it into the keypad upon arrival. 1 parking space is available on the driveway for each suite, and additional street parking is available in the front of the property. The main floor suite is rented separately via VRBO and similar websites. We like to notify guests that although we have double insulated between floors, there is the possibility that you may hear footsteps of the main floor guests on occasion. We, Casey and Brittany live nearby and will make ourselves available, if needed.
The bedrooms are tastefully and thoughtfully decorated with the guests' comfort in mind. Bedroom #1 is extremely spacious, complete with a King bedroom suite! Simply close the blackout blinds and crawl under your duvet on a medium-firm King mattress and enjoy a good night's rest! Bedroom #2 is equipped with 2 Twin beds, firm Eurotop mattresses and modern furnishings! There is plenty of space in the dresser and closet for your belongings. This room also has full room-darkening blinds.
The kitchen features dark maple cabinets, granite countertops and stainless steel appliances. Whether you are striving for simple food storage and preparation or making gourmet meals, you will be set! The space is stocked with plates, bowls, cups, mugs, cutlery, toaster, pots & pans, pitcher, salad spinner, spices, sugar, flour, rice, coffee creamer, etc! A Tassimo one-cup coffee machine is also provided with an assortment of coffee, along with a kettle and assorted teas! Hoping to make the most of your time in Calgary? You are invited to curl up in front of the fire on the spacious and comfortable couch. A 42" HDTV is available for your viewing pleasure! It is equipped with Telus OPTIK TV and Netflix. A DVD/Blueray player is also available.
Board games and DVD's can be provided upon request. A playpen and/or children's toys may also be available.
Yet another feature which may be desirable to our guests is the presence of a bus stop 50 meters from your doorstep! The bus will deliver you directly to the Crowfoot C-Train Station. This station is located only 4 minutes away by car.
The Crowfoot Shopping Centre is well-known for it's variety of shops, restaurants, services and entertainment venues! It is located a short 10 minutes away by foot or 2 minutes by car.
Hawkwood is also conveniently located with many major roads nearby. It is surrounded by Nose Hill Drive, John Laurier Blvd., Sarcee Trail and Country Hills Blvd.! Costco, Superstore, Walmart, Cineplex Odeon Cinemas, Crowfoot YMCA and Arena, Calgary Public Library, and many many more amenities are located within a 2-10 minute drive. The property is located on a corner lot. Across the street is an off-leash, natural green space. Many parks and scenic walking paths surround the property. Hawkwood is also a short drive or bike ride to Nose Hill Park, a large natural wildlife reserve located in a central location in Calgary!
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION:
- 3-bedroom, 2-bathroom main floor suite is rented separately and has separate laundry and entrance. Safe-and-Sound insulation and resilient channel installed between floors.
- Backyard and lower patio is shared by guests from both suites. Use of upper deck is limited to main floor guests only.
- PARKING: Basement suite guests are allotted one parking space on driveway (maximum 2 cars total allowed). Additional street parking is available across the street.
- Landlords live nearby and will be available, as needed.
- Absolutely NO smoking, NO pets, NO parties, NO functions.
BOOKING PROCEDURE:
Whether this is your first or fiftieth experience with VRBO, we strive to make this a truly excellent one. We are available to answer any questions or concerns you may have along the way. Please note that we require potential guests to review our House Rules and also provide us with a few details prior to accepting or pre-approving a booking. Some things we like to know include:
- Why are you coming to Calgary?
- Who will you be traveling with (children, adults, etc)?
- Do you have any special requests (ie playpen, high chair, etc)?
We may also request a copy of a photo ID (e.g. Driver's License) which corresponds with the name on the credit card used to book the vacation. This is particularly helpful to us if you do not have any reviews from past hosts or if your profile is lacking in "verification" details from the website provider. Your trip may be cancelled if this is requested by the hosts and not provided.
***Please note: Stays of greater than 10 days will be subject to additional cleaning fees of $60.00/maintenance clean. Maintenance cleans will be performed every 7-10 days during extended stays in order to best maintain our properties and to make the stay more enjoyable for our guests. Pricing will be adjusted accordingly during the inquiry stage of booking.
