The Pink House’ has been restored to a very high specification retaining many of its original features, offering self catering accommodation of a very high standard. This beautiful village house boasts having its own private pool and patio/alfresco dining area on each level of the house with more than enough seating for everyone. With its 3 bedrooms, fully fitted kitchen including washing machine, separate dryer and dishwasher, satellite TV, DVD, full air conditioning and situated in this lovely village the property is sure to appeal to all those wanting a tranquil yet spectacular holiday on the beautiful island of Corfu. You will feel 'on top of the world' as you watch the happenings on Kalami below, boats sailing past in opposite directions, and the opportunity to truly immerse yourself into the Corfiot village way of life.

Local Area & Sight Seeing: Aside from Kalami there are many other fabulous waterside taverna´s nearby in the neighbouring bays of Agni, Koloura and San Stephanos. Should you wish to venture a little further Kassiopi is only 10 minutes drive away and has many shops, restaurants, bars/clubs, beaches, and a pretty harbour area if you feel the need for something a bit livelier.

Steep drive but fabulous views

If you want everything perfect and brand new without compromise then this won't suit you. Nestled in the village up the hill overlooking the Kalami bay it's a perfect retreat with a nice restaurant at the base of the steep slope or steps. Cleaned regularly, comfortable and homely with adequate itinerary for cooking in house. The pool is great. Not large but functional and very welcome to take a dip and cool off. We loved it. Mosquito candles are a must if sitting on the terrace but that's the same in all the Greek islands.

The house is located in the village of Vlachatika perched above the bay of Kalami. Occasionally you may meet some of the locals as they wander back up the pathways to their houses shouting greetings to one another, a real chance to experience the traditional Greek way of life.

Kalami itself is without doubt one of the most picturesque bays on the island, famous for once having been the home of the writer Lawrence Durrell, at the White House down on the beach front. The beach is only a 2 minute drive or 10 minute walk away and can be reached via the road, or several pathways off the main coast road. There is pretty shingle beach with clear blue waters making it perfect for snorkelers and swimmers as well as those who enjoy lazing on the beach. You will also find 3 supermarkets, 2 bars and tourist offices where you can arrange excursions, an exchange, car hire and boat hire, etc.. There is also the neighbouring picture postcard bays of Agni, Koloura and San Stephanos close by.

Other Activities: Water sports available at the beach and there are 2 Aqua Parks nearby. Walking is fantastic all over the island from coastal bay to bay or inland

Golf: Golf - there is also an excellent Golf course about a 30 minute drive from the property having outstanding panoramic views.

The rates supplied are per house per week not per person and also include a cleaning and linen service together with a welcome pack containing the necessary essentials.
