About the property

Two bedrooms,2 bathrooms, A/C, Wifi, private garden and fenced pool.

Villa St Augustin has a bit of history. The original part of the building dates back to the 18th Century and although it's now just a short walk to the local village, it used to be surrounded by agricultural land. The farm workers would stop off at the tiny, two storey 'watering hole' for a well deserved drink.

The current owners have completely renovated and extended the building to create a unique 2 bedroom private villa. Some of the quirky original features such as the exposed stone walls remain, but all modern comforts have been added.

The central kitchen and living room have been created from the original, 18th century part of the building and benefit from thick stone walls which keep it lovely and cool in the height of the summer. There is SKY TV,a DVD player and CD player. The living room is an open plan one, leading to the kitchen, and it incorporates a dining table and chairs as well.

The kitchen is well equipped with pretty much everything you’ll need; fridge/freezer, microwave, dishwasher, washing machine, electric oven, gas hob and all the cooking utensils and crockery

There are two bedrooms, one double and one twin. The ground floor double bedroom has an en-suite bathroom and the cute first floor bedroom has twin beds. There's air-conditioning in both the bedrooms.

There is one bathroom, en suite with the double room, and one shower room with a toilet.

Outside there is a beautiful walled and shaded courtyard area with sun loungers just outside the French windows that lead from the lounge. This is a geat spot for BBQ's and an evening drink.

Beyond this shady sanctuary is a larger garden which has a safely enclosed swimming pool area. There's a large lawn, great for children's games and a well stocked, interesting garden.

The swimming pool measures 7 x 3 metres and is surrounded by a wall with a secure gate.

Relaxing Holiday in Provence

Over the years we have stayed at a number of holiday lets and this property is the best equipped in terms of kitchen facilities. The bed was comfortable and bed linen and towels were new and good quality. The garden and pool quiet were secluded.

The property owner was very helpful in regard to answering questions regarding local facilities and was always just a phone-call away and was always willing to call in if there were any issues.

There is a well-stocked supermarket in Orgon and a very good restaurant called Le Cote Jardin.

The location is convenient for travel to the recognised tourist attractions i.e. Nimes, Arles, the Camargue and Avignon. There are many other attractions such as the Luberon, St Remy de Provence, Les Baux de Provence and L'Isle sur la Sorgue that are worth a visit.
