The apartment is located in one of the most ancient and charming squares in the centre of Florence. Situated in a quiet street near Santa Croce, the apartment is just a five minutes' walk from all the most important attractions the city has to offer: Santa Croce, Piazza Duomo, Galleria degli Uffizi, Ponte Vecchio, Piazza della Signoria and many more. There's also a great choice of bars, restaurants, coffee shops, delicatessens, a mini market, cinema, theatre and much more, all close by.
Florence Peretola international airport is 20 minutes away by taxi or coach and the Santa Maria Novella train station is just a 10-15 minute walk.
The property is on the first floor (for U.S. guests this is the second floor) of a 13th Century Palazzo, opposite an ancient Roman theatre (the first roman construction in Florence), which is now a beautiful semicircular building. Recently renovated, the apartment now offers all the comforts of modern amenities, together with the warmth of authentic antique furniture and paintings, and a beautiful wood panelled ceiling, decorated with 16th century frescoes.
The apartment comprises a light, airy living room with dining area and a loft area above, which can be used either as a single bedroom or as a studio; a well-equipped kitchen, a bedroom with a King-sized bed; a second bedroom with a King-sized bed and a loft above with 2 single beds and large storage / wardrobe area; and 2 bathrooms, one with a Jacuzzi bath tub and shower and one, ensuite to the second room, with a shower cubicle.
The pretty covered terrace overlooks a small garden and can be enjoyed all year round.
The apartment is light and airy and approx 110 square metres in size.
Florence is our favourite city and we hope to provide you with all the amenities and information that you need to make your stay wonderful and memorable.
Fiona Robertson purchased this apartment in 2015
The pretty terrace overlooks an enclosed garden and is a real sun-trap - the perfect place for a leisurely morning coffee or early evening drink.
The photos do not exaggerate the beauty and charm of the building and the unit.
The furnishings are amazing (hard to believe it is a rental), it was spotless, spacious and rich in character. It fit our family of five, and could have accommodated even more.
The location is also fantastic. We walked everywhere within minutes. Santa Croce is a stone's throw, as are other major attractions. Nearby we loved the leather school right at Santa Croce in the back of the church, as well as the mosaic museum. If you see GROM, GO! (this was our favourite gelato). .La Giostra restaurant is magical, and just outside the entrance to the building is a fantastic restaurant...I forget the name but turn right it is across from the Japanese place. Reservations required. This is a wonderful apartment. You will not be disappointed.

Five of us shared this apartment, while in Florence. It was exceptionally clean, well stocked and had plenty of room for us all. It had lots of old world charm with wonderful modern updates, including air-conditioning!
It is located in the heart of Florence but the area was relatively quiet. There were wonderful restaurants, amazing gelato and what must be the most popular panini place in Florence, all within a block.
We all thought it was absolutely perfect and would highly recommend it to anyone looking to stay in Florence.
I can't wait to go back....and I know just where I will stay!
I would highly suggest Fiona's beautiful apartment which was clean, well appointed and had so much charm. It is a perfect mixture between history and modern amenities. It is one block from via Neri which is a bustling pedestrian street with many shops and restaurants and one block from Santa Croce piazza. My family with teens loved the location too. Comfortable beds, high ceilings, huge windows and the outside space overlooking the garden terrace is wonderful. Fiona was easy to communicate with, answered all our questions and we couldn't have been happier. My retired mother and her husband stayed here in 2016 as well, it really would suit many types of travelers.
My family with 2 kids (16 and 8) had a lovely time at Fiona's apartment. The apartment is in a lovely area that is easily accessible to everything one would need: restaurants, local sights, supermarket, etc. The apartment itself was beautifully appointed with everything that we needed. The terrace overlooking the garden was an added plus. We enjoyed both coffee in the morning and wine in the evening on this terrace. I would highly recommend this apartment to anyone staying in lovely Florence.
We loved this apartment! Beautifully decorated, comfortable beds, so much room. Very quiet. I highly recommend this location. I did not want to leave.
Wonderfully spacious apartment with everything you need to make an enjoyable stay in Florence. Within walking distance to major sights located on small plaza near excellent restaurants but quit and peaceful. We enjoyed watching a tenant in the building create an elaborate garden with trellises climbing all the interior walls. Wish we could return to see the results. It was was the perfect accommodation!
Perfectly situated between the sights and more local venues. Quiet spot with great restaurants within a few minutes walk. Every night was fabulous.
